Fortune retreated to the back of my mind while we were in the Alpha office, it always means she has something to think about and when she is ready she will make sure I know about it.
I walk into the living room while Elyse is looking at the dress I designed for Lynn and I ask her for her honest opinion, not that she will give me anything less. We discuss some of the details on the dresses and the fabrics that will be used for a while.
I receive a mail with the designs for the males an hour before dinner and I ask Elyse to sit on the couch with Lynn and Myra.
“I want you to take a look at something but I don’t want anyone else to see it and I have this feeling the others will join us shortly. Don’t make any comments about what you see, we will discuss it tomorrow during our fitting session.” I tell them and Elyse grabs my tablet as she moves to the couch to sit in between Lynn and Myra.
Elyse swipes through the pictures Stan send me and I see smiles on all their faces, looks like he did a great job on the designs. As I suspected everyone else walks into the living room before they are done looking at the designs and Elyse closes the cover before she hands me my tablet back, making sure no one can see what they were looking at.
Mack sits down on the couch with me and Levi sits down on my other side, “Did they like the designs you made?” Levi asks and his Mother asks if he is kidding.
“Any design Maleah makes is brilliant, she has designed enough dresses for us to know what we like and dislike and still she manages to make amazing dresses for us. I can’t wait to try it on tomorrow, I want to see if it looks as good on me as it does in the drawing.” Lynn says and I can feel Mack stiffen beside me.
“Where will that fitting session take place?” Mack asks and when I tell him in Ariel’s studio he starts shaking his head.
“Don’t worry, Mack. I will accompany her to Ariel’s studio and stay with her until they are done.” Levi says and I realize that I will need to leave the Pack-house to go to Ariel’s studio.
Mack calms down at Levi’s words and I know he will protect me the same way Mack would, don’t ask me how I can be so sure but I am.
“I will make sure some Warriors guard the outside of the studio, nothing will happen on my watch.” Levi says as he places an arm around my shoulder.
Mack smacks him on the back of his head with a huge smile on his face, “Thanks, Levi. Now get your hands of my Mate.”
Maleah’s p.o.v.
Dinner is spend in a relaxing atmosphere, Levi is teasing Mack from time to time by putting his arm around my shoulder and after a few times Kay forces him to swap seats. Not because Kay wants to prevent Mack from getting mad with his best friend, no because he wants to annoy the hell out of Mack and I just watch as the three males are joking around.
Everyone in the dining room is having fun, but both Levi and Kay get a warning from their Father.
Neither one of should expect help from their Father if Mack came after them and that was Mack’s cue to chase his friends around the table, but I might have helped them a little to stay ahead of him. Every time Levi and Kay passed me I would release some of my aura, causing Mack to slow down a little and after three times he figured out what I was doing.
“Angel, why are you helping those two?” He asks me as he turns towards me.
“Otherwise you will catch them to fast and where is the fun in that.” I reply with a huge smile on my face, but his question made Levi and Kay stop too late and now they are too close to him for them to get away.
There is only one slight problem, Mack can’t catch them both of them at the same time and that means that Kay manages to escape him. Mack has Levi pinned to the floor and suddenly I hear Levi squeal as Mack starts tickling him.
“Mack… stop.. Mack…” Levi can barely get the words out of his mouth and we are all laughing at his expense, even Kay is laughing but his eyes never leave Mack. He probably knows that he is next if he loses focus and something tells me that Kay would really hate it if Mack caught him.
“Mack.. please… please.. Mack..” Levi is begging now and apparently Mack knows when it is time to release his friend, because he stops tickling Levi while his eyes find Kay immediately.
Kay patiently waits for Mack to make his move, but I doubt Mack had expected Kay to pull another stunt as he grabs me out of my seat and starts running around the dining room table. I wrap my arms around his neck to prevent myself from falling and I am surprised he can run this fast with me in his arms, but Mack isn’t giving up just yet.
“Kay, I hope you know what you’re doing.” I say as we pass our Alphas and Dillon sees pretty red in the face from laughing.
Mack stops running when he reaches our seats and he tells Kay he can sit down again, apparently when Mack gives up he really gives up. Kay places me back in my seat and I snuggle into Mack’s side as I look around the table at all the laughing faces, I can get used to having evenings like this.
I love the way Mack is with his friends and that our Alphas don’t care about protocol behind closed doors, I hope they will all find their Mate soon.
“Are you okay, Big Boy?” I ask Mack.
“I’m fine, Angel. If it had been any other males we would have had a corpse or two on our hands.” He answers and I know it is the truth, there isn’t a Wolf or Lycan alive that would allow a male to touch his Mate.
It is even worse during the forming of the Mate-bond and I know it is a good thing Levi and Kay are his best friends or he would have killed them for touching me.
“I know I said we would let Commander and Fortune out for a run tonight, but under the circumstances I doubt that is a good idea.” Mack says.
And even though I feel disappointed I know that it is for the best, I want to know if they can tell if our bond is complete and I want to finish the whole process if it is finished. I will be a lot saver if I am wearing Mack’s mark on my neck and he will find out a lot faster if something is up without me having to use the mind-link. We move from the dining room to the living room and a few hours later Mack tells me it is time to go home.
Kay and Levi walk us back to the house and Mack tells them to look around to get familiar with the interior.
