Chapter 45 – Maleah The Angel Of Death Novel

“Stay away from her; she has the herb with her,” I yell through the mind-link.

“You can get up yourself, or you can stay right where you belong. No one is to touch her; is that clear?” I hear Dillon growl from the doorway, and Mack lifts me back up as everyone starts to leave the dining room.

“Mom, I hate to do this, but your meeting will take place on the Alpha floor. I want to be able to keep an eye on all of you,” Dillon says as he stomps up the stairs, and it is clear that he has had enough of the behavior of certain Pack-members.

Mack carries me up to the Alpha floor to have my meeting with Elyse there; two guards are placed on the landing outside the door, and Mack disappears into the private office of our Alphas.

I place my tablet on the coffee table as Myrah walks into the kitchen to make some coffee for the four of us; Myrah is Kay’s Mother and our Beta female. Well, at least until Kay finds his Mate, and who knows how long that will take. It took Mack eighteen years, and Kay is the same age as Mack.

Our entire leadership has been looking for eighteen years to find their Mate, and Mack is the first one to find his Mate.

I wonder if our Alphas will share a Mate or if they will each get their own Mate. “Elyse, if you had to guess, would you say that your Sons would share a Mate or not?” I ask as Lynn sits down on the couch, and she starts laughing her ass off; apparently there is a story here, and Ican’t wait to hear it.

I look at Elyse to see a very serious look on her face, and I believe the story will be an interesting one.

“I always thought they would share a Mate when they were growing up, but after they turned fourteen, I started to see major differences in them. If it had been minor differences, I would still think that they would share a Mate, but they are so far apart when it comes to their characters, and I doubt there is a female in this world that can put up with the three of them,” she answers, and I see Lynn nodding her head, while Myrah yells from the kitchen that Elyse is right.

“Okay, I hadn’t expected that. From observing them, I thought they were pretty similar, even though each of them has a better control of different emotions. Dax can control his anger a lot better than Dillon; he seems calm on the outside, but on the inside he is plotting your murder,” I say, causing Elyse to burst out in laughter, and Myrah agrees with me as she places our mugs on the coffee table.

“Dillon isn’t afraid to show anyone that he disapproves of their behavior, and he makes the consequences known,” I say, and I grab my mug as Elyse tells me that Dillon has always been more vocal than his Brothers.

“Dominic holds everything close to his chest; he feels that as the oldest sibling he has to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders and that he has to set the right example. I think the three of them are very much alike, but each of them deals with it differently, and I wouldn’t be surprised if their Mate will balance them out,” I tell Elyse before I take a sip of my coffee.

We go over each of her Sons, and every time she points out a trait or characteristic, I tell her that each of them has it, but one is better at hiding it than the others.

“Dillon is their voice; he vocalizes their thoughts, and they don’t correct him because they agree with him, but it doesn’t mean Dax and Dominic can’t do it. Dax is their brain; he thinks everything through before they act, and they almost always agree with him, but again it doesn’t mean Dillon and Dominic don’t know how to use their brain.

Dominic is their strength; he is the one that keeps pushing them to be the best they can be, and that helps them grow, but it doesn’t mean that Dominic never has to rely on their strength,” I say, and I see all three females think seriously about what I said.

Mack’s p.o.v.

We didn’t close the office door completely, we want to be able to hear it when there is trouble. We hadn’t expected Maleah to ask Elyse that question and I know they have asked themselves that question a lot over the years, they were hoping that they would share a Mate.

They have slept with a female here and there, but never with a Pack-member and it had showed them they wanted to have a Mate together.

It wasn’t until Dillon got injured while we were away for training that I found out what they had meant with sharing a Mate, if Dillon had had a Mate of his own she would have gone through hell and she would have been left behind alone if he had died that day.

Dominic had explained that it would make sure there was always a Mate around to help our Luna and I guess there is something to say about their way of thinking.

It made me see that there were down sides to not sharing a Mate with someone, but I doubt I would be able to share my Mate with anyone.

Commander had been quiet for the next few days, not that he completely ignored me but I could tell he was preoccupied and it took him almost four days before he started talking to me. He hated the idea of leaving our Mate on her own, but he also wasn’t sure if he could share his Mate with anyone.

Commander and I talked about it for a very long time, not hours on end but just every once in a while and it took a few years before Commander admitted to me what he had been thinking about.

He thought long and hard if he was willing to share his Mate if it meant she would always have someone to look after her and for some reason it had settled his mind to know that if he shared a Mate with someone she would be a lot safer.

I can guarantee you that I nearly fell out of my seat when he told me that, because Wolves and Lycans, that aren’t twins or so, don’t like to share what is theirs and to hear my Lycan tell me that for the sake of our Mate he would consider it was mind-blowing.

I hadn’t given much thought to those conversations in a long time, but hearing her talk about our Alphas brought it back to the front of my mind and I am afraid Commander won’t allow me to forget about it again.

“We need to talk about this and I don’t just mean the two of us, we also need to talk to Maleah about it.” Commander says and I get this feeling he will keep nagging about it until I have brought it up with Maleah at some point.

“Sounds like she is very observant.” Kay says and I have to admit that most don’t see how similar our Alphas are, after all not even their own Mother hadn’t noticed it.

“Well, I hope she is right about us sharing a Mate.” Dominic mumbles.

Dillon pulls the conversation to the situation downstairs and in moments we are full on arguing about what to do about those females. We can’t banish them from the Pack for their behavior and Levi points out we can’t throw them in the dungeons either, which earns him a pout from Dillon.

“Are they living in the Pack-house?” I hear Maleah ask and we all look at her, “If you didn’t want anyone to bud in you should have closed the door.”
