Filed to story: A Little Princess's Journey from Darkness to Light Novel
The MacNeil family argued because an important figure was about to appear. They were anxious and tried to establish more connections.
Little did they know what they had missed today…
Dreamrealm, the city’s largest amusement park, was a paradise for children. Doll-costumed staff could be seen everywhere, and the screams from the roller coaster could be heard within a one-kilometer radius.
The four-story high slide provided an exhilarating experience as people slid down from the top.
Pablo frowned. The park was crowded with high energy, especially from the children. It wasn’t very comfortable for ghosts like him.
“I’ll find a place to rest,” Pablo said, glancing at Anthony and Drake. He trusted them to take care of Lilly.
Just as Lilly was about to agree, Hannah grabbed her hand excitedly and ran off. Her nonchalant act from earlier in the morning was shattered in front of the amusement park.
“Let’s go over there! We can slide down from the top slide!” Hannah exclaimed.
Josh chased after them. “Wait for me!”
Drake, naturally preferring peace and quiet, watched the three of them run off without saying a word.
They’re acting like children. It’s not fun at all.
Anthony, dressed in a suit, stood out among the parents in the amusement park with his tall and straight figure.
Unfortunately, his cold demeanor and indifferent expression made people hesitant to strike up a conversation. Additionally, seeing Anthony with four children made them assume he was taken.
A girl sighed, “Such a handsome man has children, and he still looks so good. I wish I could be one of those children’s mothers!”
Her friend rolled her eyes. “Stop daydreaming!”
Anthony could only watch from a distance, not wanting to be disrespectful. Many people secretly took pictures of him.
As Anthony received a call, he followed the children. Glancing at the number, he said, “Take care of your sisters.”
Drake responded emotionlessly, “Got it.”
Lilly and the others arrived at the giant slide. The line was long, so they had to wait. Hannah was at the front, Lilly was in the middle, and Josh was at the back.
Lilly looked at the long slide and said with regret, “It would be great if Polly and Tortoise could come too!”
Dreamrealm didn’t allow pets, otherwise, Polly and Tortoise would have been thrilled.
They were almost at the front of the line when suddenly, a little girl ran over and cut in front of Lilly.
Josh frowned. “What are you doing? Don’t cut in line!”
The little girl, Nicole, looked arrogant and shouted, “No! I want to stand here!”
Next to Nicole was an elderly woman who said to Josh, “Don’t mind her! It’s more fun when everyone plays together.”
Lilly said firmly, “But cutting in line is wrong!”
Nicole ignored Lilly, and the elderly woman, Lydia, pretended to be engrossed in her mobile phone, as if she didn’t hear anything.
Many children in Dreamrealm didn’t like waiting in line. They often cut in line, and others played along.
Seeing her grandmother ignore Lilly, Nicole, who had cut in line, winked and made a provocative face at Lilly. “Haha! I’m still standing here! Hit me if you dare!”
Lilly was annoyed. She imitated Pablo’s expression and narrowed her eyes, but Drake blocked her before she could do anything. He coldly told Nicole, “Go to the back and wait in line!”
Josh also stood in front of Lilly with a stern expression. Lydia continued to pretend to be occupied with her mobile phone, ignoring them.
Nicole became even more arrogant and twisted her body. “No, I won’t!”
Hannah couldn’t tolerate it any longer. She grabbed Nicole’s hair and pushed her out of the line.
“Get lost!” Hannah glared at Nicole angrily. “Do you think I’m a coward? You deserve it!”
Hannah suddenly realized how annoying the arrogant child was!
Nicole fell hard to the ground and burst into tears. Seeing Hannah push Nicole, Lydia immediately reacted. Filled with anger, Lydia yelled, “Hey! Where are your parents? How dare you hit Nicole!”
Hannah defended herself, “So what? She cut in line!”
Lydia was furious. “Even so, you can’t hit her! If you’re unhappy, you can say it! How can you hurt her?”
Lydia refused to let Hannah off the hook. She cursed loudly, causing a scene.
When Anthony heard the commotion, he hung up the phone and quickly walked over.
At the same time, a woman in a red dress hurried over.
“What’s going on?” Anthony asked coldly.
He looked down at Lydia with a cold gaze, his sharp and icy aura making Lydia stutter.
“Y-you… your child hit my granddaughter!”
Lilly quickly explained, “Uncle Anthony, she cut in line first. We asked her to wait, but she refused.”
Lydia argued, “We didn’t hear you…”
Anthony interrupted coldly, “Just because you didn’t hear us, does that mean you can cut in line? Do you want to get hit too?”
When Anthony was angry, even the most experienced executives wouldn’t dare to speak, let alone Lydia.
Lydia didn’t dare to say anything.
At that moment, the woman in red arrived and apologized, “I’m sorry! I apologize on their behalf.”
Lilly was surprised because she recognized the woman. She looked at the woman’s shoulder, where a spirit lay limply.
Anthony asked indifferently, “Is this your child?”
The woman in red, Rebecca Fisher, felt a little embarrassed and replied, “She’s my niece…”
Lydia felt suffocated and said unhappily to Nicole, “Let’s go! Stop playing this game! What bad luck to encounter a group of brats!”
She picked up the crying Nicole, pushed Rebecca away, and left. She continued to complain, “I thought Clodston’s amusement park was high-end! Why didn’t you buy VIP tickets?”
After repeatedly apologizing, Rebecca followed behind and responded helplessly to Lydia, “I told you, Dreamrealm doesn’t have VIP tickets.”
Lydia’s displeased voice could still be heard from a distance. “You’ve earned so much money! Why can’t you take us to a higher-quality place? We came here for…”
Rebecca silently followed behind without saying a word.
Lilly and Josh exchanged glances.
“That woman was so rude!” Lilly whispered.
Hannah pulled Lilly up. “Forget about it! Let’s go! It’s our turn!”
The giant slide connected to a climbing net. They would climb up the net and then slide down. The four-story high climbing net twisted and turned, preventing children from falling and getting hurt. It provided both a challenge and fun for the children.
Watching Lilly and Hannah climb up, Anthony signaled to Drake.
Drake was speechless.
“I understand. I will take care of my sisters,” Drake said.
Feeling bored, Drake reluctantly followed Lilly and Hannah. He couldn’t help but roll his eyes when he saw how nervous Josh was and how he always had his hands ready to support Lilly.
“How did my good brother become like this?” Hannah asked.
