“Bella said she only wants Mommy Ena. She doesn’t want any other woman near you except Mommy Ena. Who is she, Sebastian?”

Sebastian slapped his forehead! Hard, too. He didn’t care if there would be a mark there later. Oh… Bella! Can’t we stop discussing Mommy Ena? Even though the child promised not to bring up Mommy Ena again. Besides being safe for Sebastian’s heart, after finding out who Ena was, Sebastian chose to withdraw systematically.

It’s like longing for the beautiful planet Venus, gazing at it, but approaching it could lead to burning! Dangerous! “She’s nobody, Grandma.” When Sebastian addressed Alexa as Grandma, it meant he didn’t want to talk anymore. “Which other woman are you dating, Sebastian?” Alexa’s voice again.

Once again, Sebastian sighed in frustration. Not to mention dating, just talking about someone named Ena was already a rollercoaster. And those eyes, they couldn’t be easily forgotten by Sebastian. But also, what Ena did at his house when Bella was sick made Sebastian think.

He couldn’t leave Bella behind when he got married. That’s also what makes him reluctant to get involved seriously with any woman. It’s enough to be his bed companion. What if that woman isn’t compatible with Bella? How could they live together? Meanwhile, he couldn’t just ignore Bella like that.

Sebastian’s love for Bella was immense.

No. Sebastian chose to dismiss this thought. He had to focus on the remaining work here. “I’m going to Sidoarjo for the next three days. The driver will pick up Bella so she can come along.”

“No, you can’t! Who gave permission?”

The smirk on Sebastian’s lips immediately faded. His lie last night when he called Irene was answered by God. He was also sure that Alexa wouldn’t let Bella go with him. Except when they returned later. That would surely involve a long drama! Geez! When would his life be drama-free?

Sebastian let out a long sigh. “Don’t complain and get tired again, Grandma. I also want to have nothing to do with Faldom. Just take care of Bella and be a proper and sane guardian. Unfortunately, my responsibilities are too great. Moreover, there’s no appreciation at all. It’s as if my presence there is just a disturbance.”

Alexa scoffed. “Enough. Talking to you is never right!” Then she abruptly ended the call. Making Sebastian sigh again. Leaning back was what he did now. He placed his phone on the glass-covered table, intentionally resting his hand above his head. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

Until…

“Why are you awake?” Sebastian immediately turned to where the woman’s cheek was near him. Just by narrowing the distance a little, he could kiss her cheek. Unfortunately, Sebastian didn’t want to limit himself to just her cheek. “It’s still early.” bonnie smiled widely. She momentarily loosened her hand that was draped around the man’s neck. Sebastian’s hand pulling hers was a sign that he wanted her to come closer to him. And what she did was sit right on his lap. “You won’t accompany me anymore, Darling.”

Sebastian laughed. He gently squeezed her firm buttocks. Wearing super thin sleepwear, where her smooth thighs were now clearly visible next to his legs.

“Darling!” bonnie exclaimed with a coy smile. She made her messy hair even more disheveled. Using the gaps between her fingers, she tousled her long hair, making teasing movements while slightly shifting her body on Sebastian’s lap. “One more time, huh?” Sebastian asked. “Not satisfied yet.” He captured her lips, which still bore traces of their earlier passion. With pleasure, bonnie welcomed his request. When else would she have a high-class customer like Sebastian? Especially with a handsome face like his, it wasn’t easy for bonnie to forget.

Including…

“Sir.” Irene entered abruptly. “I’ll just bring the seaweed porridge upstairs. You took so long to respond to my message.”

bonnie grumbled in annoyance at Irene’s arrival. She looked at the girl with disapproval. She didn’t care that she was still sitting on Sebastian’s lap. Irene was interrupting their pleasure!

“Step down for a moment. I want to talk to Irene.” Sebastian casually shifted Boonies’ body. He walked towards his assistant, who was busy carrying bags and a package that he knew contained his favorite breakfast. “Is the egg skewer included?” “Yes, it’s there. It was hard to find in Sidoarjo, Sir,” Irene complained. “But I only bought two. I didn’t know you were accompanied by a woman in this room.”

“Never mind. Later bonnie can order anything she wants from this restaurant.” He then sat at the available dining table, expressing his gratitude, especially for the coffee served by Irene.

Meanwhile… bonnie stared at Irene with a fierce gaze. She would start counting the ways to make Irene frightened again because of her intimidation. She must!

Being Sebastian’s assistant meant being versatile. This included suddenly entering a rocky and slippery terrain, filled with wild plants. Luckily, as Irene mentioned, she was very experienced in enduring Sebastian’s torment. She wore comfortable pants and a cotton blouse, her hair tied back, although it was a bit challenging since her straight hair had been recently rebounded. She also chose dark-colored sneakers.

And this was the place they were heading to.

Muddy. Slippery. Hot. Rocky. The path was dangerous, and she had to be extremely careful with each step. Her boss? Well, he didn’t wait for her. He just walked ahead as if he didn’t consider that her steps were small and calculated. If she fell? If she fell onto the soft muddy ground, it would be embarrassing enough, but what if she fell onto sharp rocks? Oh, no! Not only would it be embarrassing, but the pain would be unbearable! “Irene!”

Irene took a sharp breath. “Yes, Sir!” She quickened her pace while adjusting her glasses multiple times.

“Have you been listening to what I’ve been saying?”

“I’ve been listening, Sir.” When it came to listening to Sebastian’s ramblings, Irene always used the most effective method. She recorded them with a special device. If later the Raptor asked for a summary, she could just listen back, and nothing would be missed.

From behind, the Raptor actually had a broad back. His shirts always hugged his well-shaped body. Tall and imposing, his hair was neatly cut, although he had some fine hairs around his jawline. But the boss never forgot to take care of them properly. Whether it was her fine hair or his overall cool appearance, Sebastian always managed to attract attention.

However, Irene didn’t care. She wasn’t dazzled by her boss’s charm. Because when that charm had faded in the past, she was slapped with a reality: Sebastian was a true player. While she remained the epitome of loyalty. For her, once he played with a woman, no matter how faithful his words might be afterward, he would eventually slip back into his old ways. Adventuring with one woman after another.

That’s where Sebastian was, and where Irene stood.

So any form of attention Sebastian paid her, she was immune. She simply said thank you and kept her expression neutral as usual. Or she responded to avoid having too many debts of gratitude. Let the Casanova wander as he pleased. She had closed off her heart to him. Better to protect herself, right?

“How much is the deal, Sir?” Sebastian asked again, gazing at the bright sky of Sidoarjo. “Didn’t you bring an umbrella, Irene?”

“What for, Sir?” Irene was puzzled. She was standing by Sebastian’s side now. The only tempting thing about Sebastian that could weaken Irene’s resolve was his back. Fortunately, Sebastian never showed her his back while working. So… Irene held onto her steadfast determination not to be swayed by Sebastian’s charm. After all, how often did Sebastian show her his back?

“It’s hot,” Sebastian complained.

“Oh, dear Lord! The Raptor runs through the wilderness without caring about the weather. This Raptor here is quite different,” Irene muttered quietly. It was remarkable how, even though she uttered the complaint like a chant, her smile appeared, and her boss could hear it!

“I’m not the Raptor, Irene!” Sebastian grumbled.

The project manager handling the current matter, Kelvin, laughed at their small argument. Since he first met an assistant of Sebastian Sinclair, he noticed that the aura displayed was quite different. Unlike the assistants, Sebastian introduced to him before. Serving under Faldom for six years made him aware of how often Sebastian changed his assistants.

Only Irene was content and often debated with Sebastian without fear.

“No, Sir, there’s none. I offered to bring it, but you said it wasn’t necessary,” Irene calmly replied. She had already opened the notes she had put in her bag earlier. “So, what does Mr. Kelvin need to make the deal?” She adjusted her glasses. Irene’s own sweat was already bothering her; her bangs were slightly damp. “Is the problem still the same as three months ago?”

“That’s the situation.”
