Chapter 716 – A Second Chance with My Billionaire Love

The guide got so anxious that he wanted to take off the mouthpiece of his oxygen tank.

Unfortunately, Halston had made up his mind, and swam deeper into the cave.

As he passed the heart-shaped cave entrance, Halston felt like he had entered another world.

It was pitch black without any light, and he could feel seagrass against his legs, almost tangling them.

There was a gigantic cliff section beside him.

He couldn’t see the top or the bottom, and people with weak hearts would surely be frightened out of their wits.

Heart pounding in his chest, Halston looked around in the dark cave but found nothing.

His eardrums and chests were feeling uncomfortable due to the pressure at that depth and the long diving time, but he didn’t want to give up.

If the legend was real, then the clam spirit had to be living in this cave, and the pearl should be here as well.

He figured he might get more clues to its location if he sang a song, like the fishermen said, so he started humming.

His voice wasn’t that clear because of his diving mask, but the melody was there.

It resounded in the silent and vast ocean, and attracted a lot of fish, creating a magnificent Jackfish storm.

Fishes of various sizes swam around him in a circle, creating a cyclone of fish.

It might have been Halston’s song that attracted them, or maybe it was his sincerity and charm.

The song he was humming was the song he had played during their wedding— Let It Go With the

Wind.

Back then, he had found the lyrics hypocritical and pretentious, with the singer wishing they could be as free as the wind so they could be with their lover forever.

However, now he teared up humming that same song.

It was ironic that he hated the song so much back then, but now he wished he could live with his beloved woman forever like the singer.

After singing the song, Halston started feeling light-headed.

He knew he had used up too much oxygen, and he had to resurface.

The fish were dispersing, and his vision had started to blur, but suddenly, he saw a ray of light in front of him…

There was a white shell as large as a tire at the crevice of an underwater cliff, and light was emerging from it.

Halston’s eyes widened in excitement.

Was this the Southern Oceanic Stone he had been looking for? He quickly swam towards it, trying to ignore his throbbing head and lack of oxygen.

He felt like he could barely breathe.

“I found it! 1 got it!”

Halston endured the pain and reached out to grab the giant shell.

A kaleidoscope of colours engulfed him, and memories of Flossie flooded his mind.

Flossie’s face was the last thing he saw before he blacked out.

Halston regained consciousness some time later, and he vaguely heard voices calling him.

“Mr.Guajardo? Mr.Guajardo…Wake up!”

“Mr.Guajardo, don’t scare me.Hurry up and wake up!”

Halston groaned and slowly opened his eyes.

Bright light immediately filled his vision, and he quickly put his hand up to block it.

Now, he could see some people standing over him, staring at him in concern.

The fishermen were there, as well as Elijah…

Quinton, and Chase.

“Quinton? Chase? What are you doing here? Am I dreaming? “

Halston asked in bewilderment.

“If he can recognize us, he’s fine,”

Quinton scoffed.

Elijah walked over and explained to Halston excitedly, “Mr.

Guajardo, it’s such a coincidence! When you were diving, you ran out of oxygen because you spent too long down there, but the lifeguards saved you, and we also bumped into Mr.

Ellsworth and Mr.

Cheever.

They helped resuscitate you!”

Quinton had left Beach City for several months to search for Chase, who had gone missing at sea.

Coincidentally, Chase had gotten lost at this very sea, which was where the ship full of treasures he was on had capsized.

Chase had fallen into the sea, but luckily, the local fishermen saved him.

However, he had hurt his head when the boat had capsized and had suffered temporary memory loss, so he hadn’t contacted Quinton in the meantime.

Quinton had spent a lot of manpower and resources to find Chase, and had now started focusing on salvaging lost treasures nearby.

“Wonderful! Flossie will be so happy to hear that you both are safe…”

Ignoring his discomfort, Halston asked for his phone so he could inform Flossie of the good news.

“Don’t bother.

This place is very remote, so there isn’t any signal here.

Why do you think I haven’t contacted my sister yet?”

Quinton shot a glare at Halston.
