“Come on, Mommy!”

“Come on, Daddy!”

Both Adie and Abby cheered Flossie on while another child cheered his father on.

It was a very intense match.

However, this was more than a mere kindergarten activity— it was also an advertisement whereby the whole competition was broadcast live on television.

Monte Perry Kindergarten was a famous kindergarten in Beach City, so its students and their families were elite and rich.

Of course, ordinary netizens were eager to watch an intense competition like this that involved rich and famous people.

They also loved to gossip about the heirs and heads of the families, and their heated discussions made the competition a hot topic on the internet.

Naturally, both Leia and Justin were watching the live broadcast on a laptop.

They had even planned a celebration party already.

“I was right—my bestie never loses,” Leia said proudly as she recorded the competition on her phone.

“Yeah, she beat me in hacking every year back then. She was always first, and I was always second. She’s just so strong!”

Justin admired Flossie a lot, and it was so mind-boggling to him that she was great at everything except romantic relationships.

Meanwhile, Halston was still recuperating in bed.

He felt rather bored until Francine turned on the TV to watch the live broadcast of the kindergarten carnival.

When he saw Flossie and the children, he snorted disdainfully.

“I didn’t expect her to be married with kids…”

Francine glanced at him helplessly.

She yearned to tell him that Flossie was married to him and the children were his, but she eventually decided against it because the doctor said to avoid stimulating his mind before he fully recovered.

If she told him that Flossie was his wife and Adie and Abby were his children, it would be a fatal blow.

Things would get worse if his mind was affected, and he fell sick again.

“Yes, she’s a mother, so you’d better stop getting involved in her affairs.”

Francine tried to persuade Halston, hoping he would give up on Flossie and not have any thoughts about her before he fully recovered.

“Who is the father of her children?”

Halston demanded coldly as he turned to Francine.

“How would I know? She won’t tell us about her private life, and we shouldn’t get involved in her affairs anyway,”

Francine replied vaguely, averting her gaze.

Halston turned back to the television, his contemplative gaze glued to the glowing screen.

“You’d better hurry up and marry Seraphina soon and have kids too,” Francine quickly added.

At first, she was fine with Halston staying single as long as Flossie was willing to give up custody of one of her children so Halston could raise the child.

However, after that day, she could tell that it would never happen. She also couldn’t hire a lawyer to sue Flossie for it.

After much contemplation, she felt that it was more realistic for Halston to forget about his past and start a new life.

“Her having kids has nothing to do with me, and I don’t have to compete with her for it,” Halston scoffed.

He did have thoughts about Flossie before this, but now…He put them all behind him after he realized that she had two children with another man.It made him feel like a fool.

“Mom, turn it off. It’s noisy, and I want to rest.”

Halston closed his eyes as a strange sort of sadness consumed him.

“Okay, I’ll turn it off.”

However, Francine wanted to see the children, so she watched the live show secretly on her phone after turning the TV off.

Unfortunately, something terrible happened at the carnival at that moment…

Flossie had climbed pretty high when she heard them announce that they were about to select the champion, and she suddenly felt the safety buckle behind her shake. It made her feel unsteady, like she was about to fall.

“Ten, nine, eight, seven…”

The judge began to countdown, and everyone held their breath as they waited for the final result.

Unwilling to give up, Flossie gritted her teeth and kept on climbing speedily.

“Three, two, one.Okay, let’s congratulate Adie and Abby’s family for winning this carnival!”

The judge boomed, and everyone cheered.

However, before Flossie could turn to wave to Adie and Abby who cheered below, she found herself plummeting downwards.

“Ah!”

There were horrified screams and shouts from the crowd as they watched Flossie fall.

“Flossie!”

“Mommy!”

Quinton, Adie, and Abby frantically ran to where Flossie had fallen, but a security guard stopped them.

“Calm down and don’t move.We have safety precautions installed, so she’ll be fine.”

The security guard announced to calm everyone down.

However, there was no doubt that Flossie would be hurt from such a fall even though there were sponges on the floor as a safety precaution.

“Get out of my way! If you delay me for even a second longer, I’ll make sure you pay for it,”

Quinton snarled furiously as he shoved the security guard aside and pushed through the crowd to get to Flossie.

Flossie was lying on the floor, unable to move.

Excruciating pain enveloped her entire body, and her face was pale.
