Not that anyone could hear her with the Alpha floor being soundproof, so we allowed her to keep screaming. It didn’t take long before my Wolf came inside her, and then he pushed her to her knees to give her ass the same treatment; he kept fucking her for two hours straight.
He was completely spent after that time, and he had leaned down towards her to ask her, “Where will you be tomorrow night?”
She had looked at him as she had whispered, “In your bed.” It was where I would find her every night until the day she met Alpha Max, and then it was over with the fun and games I had had with Elyse.
Elyse was the first one I had forced myself on, but she wasn’t the last one, and I quickly discovered I loved them young. However, I never took them before they were of consenting age, and that is a rule I will never break.
I knew I needed an heir after I became the Alpha, and for that to happen I had to mark a female; I gave my Wolf that choice. I wanted him to be somewhat content with his Mate, but I found out quickly he didn’t give a rat’s ass about who the Mother of our heir was.
He chose an Omega to mark, and when she became pregnant she thought she would become this Pack’s Luna, but my Wolf made it clear she would never be more than an incubator to us.
After giving birth to our Son, she tried to run away with him, but we caught her before she was too far out of the territory, and my Wolf was so pissed off with her that he ripped her to pieces.
We never chose another Mate after that; we had our heir and we didn’t need another Mate or a Pup. We kept living our life as we always had, and our Son was growing up to be a chip off the old block, not that I showed him that side of me.
You would think with both of us treating females the way we do that we have no Pack-members left, but for some reason, that I am very aware of, they all stay within my Pack, and I can live this way until the day I die.
Well, that was until I met Tara. No, she is not my Mate, and if I could have prevented it, my Wolf wouldn’t have marked her.
Tara wasn’t interesting enough for us when we met, until someone mentioned she was a member of Blood Crescent Pack, and I started to just talk to her. I was hoping she could tell me if someone hired her Pack to take me or my Son out, but when I heard her react to a question about their Assassins, I knew there was more to her.
She kept telling everyone she was a Sigma, but my Wolf and I could tell she was of another rank, and it showed every time someone made her angry or annoyed with what was being said. Because she refused to answer any of the questions I had, I started to investigate her past, and what I found is what made my Wolf decide to mark her against my wishes; she is a descendant from the Royal Assassin.
After we marked her, I found out she had a Wolfless Daughter, and Diablo was more than willing to take her as his Mate – at least, that is what we made Tara believe.
As the future Alpha, he needed a Mate that had a Wolf, and we can’t get a female pregnant unless we have marked her, meaning that Maleah would never wear Diablo’s mark. He would have to choose another female to become his Mate and carry his heir for him.
Even though I had my doubts about Maleah being Wolfless after we met, I believed Tara when she said that Maleah didn’t shift when she turned sixteen, and she had watched her Daughter closely ever since.
Just in case she shifted at a later day than her birthday, but she never felt the presence of a Wolf or Lycan if she was with Maleah, and therefore she was grateful that Diablo would take a Wolfless Mate.
But as I already said, things went from bad to worse. I found out Maleah hid her Lycan from Tara, and her Alpha didn’t allow us to have a private lunch – a lunch that would have given Diablo the chance to sedate her.
We would take her back to my Pack where Diablo would forcefully mark her, a last minute chance when I realized she wasn’t Wolfless, and it would have meant we were getting even closer to the Royal Family.
Today is the worst day of my life; I was woken by knocking on our suite door, and two enforcement agents told me that a Servant had found Diablo dead in his room.
By the time we got dressed, rumors were flying across social media, and when I read a piece on how Diablo was found, I lost my shit; I threw whatever I could get my hands on.
I need to get rid of my Mate and forcefully mark Maleah myself. I deserve to get what I was supposed to gain by Diablo marking Maleah.
Maleah’s p.o.v.
It isn’t difficult to tell that Mack is upset with Mother’s message, and I tangle my hand in his hair to pull him closer to me, allowing him to inhale my scent. His arms wrap around my waist, and I feel him relaxing in my arms. Damn, what will it be like when our bond is completely formed?
“At this rate, our bond will be complete in a few days, and we will be marked before we have to attend that funeral,” Fortune says, and I smile at her as she looks at me with a smug look in her eyes.
There is no reason, I can think of, for me to attend Diablo’s funeral, and I can’t find one as to why Mother wants me to attend.
If Diablo had planned on forcefully marking me, he would have been in for a surprise, and seeing the fact I never met him or his Father, I don’t understand why Mother wants me to be there.
I send her a message asking that same question, and her reply makes Fortune lose her shit, nearly forcing a shift.
“Calm down, Angel,” Mack says as his hands start moving up and down my back, and Fortune calms down enough for me to get control back.
“Mother says that Alpha Bradley wants me to be present at the funeral; he wants us to show that we are a family, and he wants us to say goodbye to Diablo as a family,” I tell Mack as I lean my head against his chest; I need him as much as he needed me a little while ago.
“I will be going with you,” he says, and I know there is no point in arguing with him.
Hell, I don’t even want to argue with him about it. I want him to come with me, and I don’t care if Mother agrees with it or not; I would have asked him to come with me if we weren’t Mates. Normally every Alpha gets an invitation to the funeral of a high-ranking Wolf or Lycan, and if one gets sent here, my Alphas will be right there with me and Mack.
