Dark spots danced before her eyes. Her body went from hot to cold as her limbs suddenly felt heavy. She gulped for air and blinked away the spot, keeping her eyes on Ryan, who watched her with an intensity that made her toes curl.
“Mia, I need those pillows behind me.”
She liked the authoritative, tough tone Jake used. Mia didn’t seem to mind, either. She didn’t bristle or counter his order. Instead she grabbed the pillows from the head of the bed and handed them to Jake.
He tucked the pillows under Olivia’s hips, and she gratefully sank onto them. She didn’t know how much longer her shaky arms and legs would have held her. Her ass was still tilted up high in the air, but Jake was now able to thrust deep inside her.
No one stopped him or gave him advice. All she heard was Jake’s body slapping against hers, their choppy breath and moans. She didn’t know how much longer she could take his demonic rhythm when Jake’s thrusts became wild. She knew he was about to come.
Jake froze and sank deeply into Olivia. He withdrew, his body shaking. Olivia rocked against him, and he plunged into her one last time, shouting as he found his release. Olivia sagged against the mattress and pillows as Jake collapsed on top of her.
Ryan finally left his spot next to the door and walked to the bed, his gait slow and awkward. Olivia watched him, anticipation twisting at her stomach. For a moment she thought he was going to grab her like he had the last time.
Instead Ryan helped her into a sitting position and cradled her in his arms. “You guys need to work on following orders,” Ryan said.
“Seriously,” Mia agreed, crawling onto the bed and draping her arm on Jake’s shoulders.
Ryan scooped Olivia up, his arms underneath her shoulders and thighs. He carried her toward the door. Was he going to whisk her off and have his wicked way with her? If so, the bed was the other way.
“Where are you taking me?” Olivia asked when they left the bedroom.
He held her closely and walked down the hall toward the bathroom. “I’m going to give you a nice, long shower.”
Was that a euphemism for something else? She might be sore and tired, but she could never deny Ryan. “Is that it?”
“It is for now,” he promised.
Life was good, Mia thought as she lay on Olivia’s lap. She inhaled her friend’s scent and rubbed her cheek against Olivia’s soft, pale leg.
Olivia stroked Mia’s hair, threading her fingers through the long brown tresses. Mia let out a contented sigh. She was sure Olivia meant nothing by the friendly touch, but Mia didn’t care. It was pure bliss.
They had finished a leisurely lunch and now she watched Ryan and Jake play on the Xbox console. She smiled as she remembered how much the men had consumed. They obviously had worked up quite an appetite this morning.
So had she, Mia thought with a frown. She wished this weekend could stretch out for weeks. It would be the only thing that would keep her in Clover Bud, but she wasn’t going to let the promise of pleasure distract her.
Yet she was greedy when it came to sex. There was very little chance that she would be invited to take part in this type of sensual game. But if she stayed so she could keep playing, it would be a big mistake. It was best to leave when she was hungry for more.
Anyway, it wouldn’t take long for the people of Clover Bud to find out. They already gossiped about her and sexual situations she had never dreamed up. All the townspeople needed was a suspicion she was swapping with Olivia, and life would be unbearable.
Her neighbors wouldn’t understand how emotionally close she felt right now to Olivia and Jake. Even Ryan, which she never saw coming. As much as she bickered with Ryan, she had a feeling he would back her up if she needed help.
She trusted all three. But she couldn’t bring herself to reveal her sexual fantasies. She’d like to think that once she confessed her secret dreams, they would do everything in their power to make it happen for her. As much as she believed her friendships had strengthened, she didn’t want to test the bonds – especially with Olivia.
Mia bit the inside of her lip as she remembered her kiss with Olivia. That should have been enough for her. After all, she used to think she would never get that close to Olivia. But then she had seen Olivia naked and wild underneath Jake.
Mia couldn’t remember a time she felt so envious. She wanted to be in Jake’s position, claiming Olivia and giving her the most explosive climax of her life.
She wanted Olivia thrashing and undulating underneath her, but this was one time she wasn’t going to manipulate others to get her way. She didn’t want to do anything Olivia would regret. She didn’t want it to hurt her friendship, the one constant relationship she’d ever had.
It was the main reason why she felt the urgent need to leave. It had more to do with things than the feeling of being confined and trapped in Clover Bud. As much as she hated leaving Olivia behind, it was only a matter of time before she ruined their friendship. Whether she interfered with Olivia’s love life, or made a pass, Mia knew she would ultimately do something unforgivable.
At least, Mia wouldn’t forgive herself. Olivia might. Olivia took the good and the bad in everyone. She defended her loved ones, even when she knew they were in the wrong, and nurtured them in her quiet way.
Olivia stopped stroking her hair. Mia opened her eyes as she felt her friend move away. Had she given off some vibe, and Olivia was trying to put some distance between them?
She watched as Olivia got off the couch and strolled over to Jake. Mia sat up, intrigued by the confident swagger of her friend. It was like she was on the prowl. She would never have associated that word with Olivia before.
Olivia stood next to Jake. He and Ryan looked up, but Olivia only looked at Jake. Mia’s eyebrows rose in surprise. Why wasn’t Olivia looking at Ryan?
Olivia reached out for Jake. “Come with me,” she said in a seductively low voice.
Although they were right in the middle of the game, neither man complained about her timing. Ryan didn’t say a thing and his jaw clenched. A muscle bunched in Jake’s cheek as he put down the controller and took Olivia’s hand.
Jake rose slowly from the floor, his movements like a sleep-walker’s. He gripped Olivia’s hand tightly as if he was worried she would let go. Olivia smiled, heady with power and confidence, and guided him out of the media room.
Mia couldn’t stop grinning as she watched them leave. She didn’t say anything until she heard the bedroom door close.
“Sure you don’t want to go watch?” Mia asked.
“I’m sure,” Ryan said as he stopped the game.
“Come on, Ryan,” she urged him on. “I know you want to. Go and peek. I won’t say a word.”
“Are you trying to avoid being with me?” he asked as he collected the game controls.
“No, I’m all for the swap.” She wasn’t going to confess that it had been her idea all along, although he probably wouldn’t be surprised if he found out that fact.
“Because you want to teach me some manners?”
She tried to hide her surprise. She was so caught off-guard that she couldn’t think of a sassy comeback. How did Ryan know about her plans for him?
Ryan laughed and turned off the widescreen television set. “Did you think I wouldn’t have figured it out?”
She wasn’t going to answer that. “Your lesson can wait,” she said with her nose tilted high in the air. “Go and watch them. Be my guest.”
