Among them was a particularly tall man, leaning against the railing of the corridor and gazing at the sky.

He turned around when the door opened. “Are you Harvard Schumacher?”

Harvard became cautious. “Who are you?”

Blake cracked his knuckles, snapping his fingers once.

He smirked coldly, “Restrain him! Be careful, and speak to him politely.”

Before Harvard could react, he was struck in the face with a punch. Instantly, he saw stars and his mind went blank.

Was this their idea of speaking politely?!

Harvard lay on the ground, beaten and bruised. Everyone else in the house had already left for work or school.

“Who are you…!” He exclaimed, shocked and terrified.

Blake smirked, raising his eyebrows. “I thought you would recognize me, considering the trouble you caused me.”

It was at that moment that Harvard realized it was Blake. Yes, he was the guy whose videos he had been editing!

“Y-you… It’s illegal to assault people!” Harvard panicked.

Blake thought to himself, Oh, that’s fine. You aren’t scared of anything, why should I be?

A strange fear crept into Harvard’s chest as he saw Blake’s menacing stance, causing his lip to tremble. “D-don’t go too far! There are cameras around…”

Just as he finished speaking, he noticed a familiar figure approaching. It was his landlord!

Harvard cried out, “Help! Madam, I’m being attacked!”

Gemma held a mug of tea in her hands and took a satisfying sip. “Aah~ tea in the summer really is the best!”

Harvard was speechless.

He couldn’t believe she was in the mood for tea at a time like this!

Gemma muttered to herself, “How strange. Why are the cameras down? I’m going to check them out.”

With that, she walked right past them as if she hadn’t seen anything.

Harvard was baffled.

The cameras… were down?

Blake waved his hand. “Come on, bring him inside. We’ll have a nice chat.”

Harvard was about to shout for help when one of the men in black shirts made a threatening gesture across his neck.

He couldn’t speak immediately.

The door closed, and Harvard lost all hope.

The room was cramped with Blake and the men in black shirts.

Blake looked up.

One of the men tapped Harvard’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, we won’t harm you. We just want to talk.”

Harvard wondered, Was… was he going to be killed?

Sure enough, one of the men put on gloves and grabbed a knife from the kitchen.

Another man held Harvard’s hand down…

Blake smirked coldly. “You seem to enjoy causing trouble. Cut off the remaining nine fingers!”

“That way, you won’t be able to manipulate videos for attention anymore.”

Harvard didn’t know why his first thought wasn’t to beg for mercy, but…

If he lost all ten fingers, he could use his disability to gain sympathy and profit from it…

The glint of the knife distracted him. The man in black raised it, bringing it down forcefully.

Harvard quickly withdrew his hands. The knife landed on the chopping board.

He didn’t know what kind of person Blake was. If he had really intended to harm him, he wouldn’t have missed.

He was just trying to scare Harvard.

Harvard’s face turned pale, and he repeatedly bowed, knocking his head on the ground. “Please forgive me, please! I’ll never do it again, I’m sorry!”

Blake stared at him coldly.

People like him who had no shame sometimes didn’t even fear the law.

It would take a while to sue this bastard, anyway.

He would have to take care of Harvard himself.

Insulting his beloved daughter and using her for attention repeatedly.

Blake had to teach him a lesson somehow…

Blake looked around and picked up a yellowed business card from the table. “Harvard Schumacher…”

Ha, what a waste of a good name.

Blake tossed the card away. “Have a good conversation. Remember, we’re civilized people here.”

The MacNeil hitmen responded, “Understood!”

Blake closed the door and left.

Harvard fell to his knees, begging and pleading. The sounds soon turned into grunts of pain as he was brutally beaten.

Outside the door, Layton stood guard anxiously, his mind racing.

“Is this really a good idea, considering your reputation, Mr. MacNeil?” He was on the verge of tears.

Blake remained leaning against the windowsill, his expression cold and unyielding. “My reputation? I’m a philanthropist now!”

Layton thought, What the…

Blake continued, “Besides, the MacNeils are taking care of him. No one else needs to interfere.”

The girl’s family was in a state of deep despair, their spirits slowly fading.

The girl heard her phone repeatedly ding, but she didn’t dare to take a single look.

However, not looking would also hurt…

She closed her eyes and turned on her phone, feeling completely hopeless.

To her surprise, she discovered numerous private messages on her account that were positive.

All of them were apologies…

“What’s happening?” The girl was shocked.

Her parents hurried over and realized that the situation had completely turned around!
