“Hey girl, what do you think?”
I heard her huffing and groaning. She didn’t want our mates to worry either but we still need to prove to ourselves and the packs that we were stronger than before.
“I want to go into at least this fight without them knowing that we are their future Luna. If they knew then it would not be much of a fight. I know our mates will be upset with us but we can make it up to them later.”
I nodded my head and turned to our sexy mates.
“Midnight and I want to at least fight this match without them knowing. So no matter what the outcome is afterwards you can tell Nathan and Brandon that we are their Luna, but I want to see their strength. Boys, Promise me that Nathan will not be punished after the fight.”
They all looked down for a few minutes, then they nodded. I jumped up and gave Hero and Zero their kisses like I promised. Even though Zero tried to trap me in his arms I wiggled out of it giggling. I could only imagine what I was in store for when these big bad wolves get me alone and behind closed doors.
Hero’s POV
When I felt Jess kiss me I really didn’t want her fighting, but I promised. Even so that didn’t mean I had to like it. My brothers and I returned to our seats in the stands and watched as our beautiful Luna took off the huge sweatshirt and got in the ring. If it wasn’t for our wolf hearing then we wouldn’t be able to Nathan’s trash talk to Jess. Nathan and Brandon always have to run off at the mouth. I wish they could just lose their voices sometimes.
“Sorry sugar, but just because you are getting all cozied up to my alphas does not mean I will be going easy on you. When I fight I fight to win. I hope you understand. I’ll try not to ruin that pretty face of yours.”
He got into his stance and Raphael began the fight. Jess took of like a fucking bullet.
Throwing a bunch of jabs to get Nathan into the defensive and threw in a few sidekicks to his rib area.
Nathan was already getting pissed and this match just started.
The next kick Jess set towards him, he let it hit but then as fast as a python he grabbed her leg. Nathan then began to swing Jess around before throwing her to the ground face first. Zero jumped to his feet, but Leo stopped him from jumping off the edge.
I was gripping my seat tight. Loki started growling and going crazy in my mind.
“Why the hell did you agree to let her fight Nathan. We all know Nathan and Brandon hate to lose in anything.” he snarled.
“I know dude, but think of it from her point of view. She has been all on her own since she was 13. She needs to feel like she can depend on us herself. If we force it too much we could end up pushing her away.”
Loki whined but he knew deep down that I was right. I mind linked Zero and Leo to give them the same speech I gave Loki hopefully it would make it a little easier for Zero. He sat back down without a fight but replied.
“I won’t force her to stop fighting, but we are going to spoil and pamper her to our hearts content.”
Leo and I nodded in agreement and turned back to the fight.
Jess’s POV
‘OK, now I see why the triplets wanted me to not fight this guy.’ I thought to myself as I pushed off the ground and rolled back onto my feet.
“Midnight what should we do? There is no doubt that this man is physically stronger than us. Once more blow like that and we would be done.”
Midnight growled
“We are faster than hit and I think our stamina could outlast him if we play this right.”
I was avoiding his punches as I worked out a plan with my wolf. I could see he was putting all his force into each hit, but if the hit never makes contact with its target then it was just wasted energy.
I smirked finally seeing how I could win if I played my cards just right. He was fighting like a typical boxer, so he would have the same weakness any boxer would.
I used my speed to evade his attacks and when I had an opening I landed a hard kick right in his left leg.
He grunted and staggered back a bit.
I didn’t let up. I then kicked his left leg with the same force.
He went to throw another punch in my face, but I dodged and put some distance between us. I was right. He is losing his accuracy when I attack his legs. Boxers normally focus on their upper body strength so their legs are the weakest in boxing. Ryan taught me Moi Tai kickboxing and Jorge taught me judo and karate. Where leg strength was a very critical aspect of martial arts. The legs are the foundation of the body.
I close the distance again and throw a few jabs at him while he blocks them. I send more damaging kicks right into each of his legs. It felt like this fight was going on for hours. I was starting to lose steam and so was he. Someone was going to give and soon. I continued to use my speed to my advantage and sent a few jabs into his ribs.
He countered with a swift kick to my side. I didn’t get sent flying like he thought I would because I planted my feet and lowered my center of gravity to take the impact. He was finally close enough. I hit him with an open palm strike to the bottom of his chin. He smirked when he didn’t move as much. I knew I couldn’t move his thick neck with just one hand. That is why I used two.
I used my right hand to strike my left elbow to hit him in the chin with the force of both. While his head snapped up, I kicked the back of his ankle to throw him completely off balance. Nathan fell to the ground hard with his legs in such a state I hoped he would be down for the count. He breathed heavily and tried to catch his breath.
