“Forget it.” Pablo raised his hand, and the booklet materialized out of thin air.
On Lilly’s page, there was no new message.
Jean’s soul fragments had returned, and she too would need to go down to the underworld.
Pablo stated, “Jean, you have stayed in the human world for too long, it’s time for you to go.”
Before Jean or Anthony could say a word, Lilly had just found her complete mother.
Hearing this, everyone felt reluctant.
Lilly’s eyes were slightly teary as she clutched onto Pablo’s robe, “Master, Lilly wants a mother, boo-hoo, Master is so powerful, there must be a way to keep mother.”
Pablo, “…”
D*mn it, boss!
Can you stop cornering your subordinate to death!
There were so many other subordinates the boss could rely on…
Forget it, those guys were not as dependable as him.
Pablo resignedly said, “Yes, you can put your mother into the jar of souls, but let me tell you, you must go down before July 14th…”
“I don’t have anything else to do, so it’s best if I don’t come out and wander.”
He could only help her hide until July 14th.
As for the rest, he would take care of it…
Lilly’s eyes lit up as she tightly hugged Pablo and exclaimed happily, “Master, you’re the best! I love you, Master!”
Blake, “…”
This was the best?
He snorted coldly, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.
Was he really so worthless?
Jealous daddy MacNeil felt a twinge of annoyance, his eyes rolling to the side.
Lilly happily skipped around the corridor, repeatedly saying “Thank you, Master”…
Pablo silently responded, “You’re welcome. You have a bright future ahead, but don’t forget your Master.”
He hoped that once Little Hades returned, he would be promoted and wealthy enough to find a wife…
Lilly nodded eagerly, “Yeah! Lilly will help Master get promoted, become rich, and find a wife!”
Pablo, “???”
No, how did you know what I was thinking?
Was his expression…that obvious?
As Lilly cheered, the door to old Mrs. Crawford’s room suddenly swung open with a loud bang.
She looked puzzled, then furrowed her brow. “It’s so late, what are you doing here? Don’t you sleep?”
Anthony pursed his lips. “We… were chatting.”
Old Mrs. Crawford immediately chimed in, “What were you talking about in the middle of the night? You need to sleep if you want to grow taller! How can children grow if they don’t sleep? What nonsense!”
She then turned her attention to Blake and Edward. “And what were you two doing?”
Anthony had always had trouble sleeping, often staying up until three or four in the morning. Old Mrs. Crawford was aware of this.
But what about Blake and Edward?
The old lady looked as if she was about to hit someone with a feather duster.
Blake quickly raised his hand. “Hold on, old lady, I’m innocent.”
He had just been passing by all night, okay?
He had nothing to do with it!
Old Mrs. Crawford grabbed the slippers from under her feet.
Everyone immediately turned their heads and hurriedly went back to their respective rooms, terrified.
Lilly stuck out her tongue, grabbed Jean’s hand, and ran away. “Grandma is angry, let’s go!”
Old Mrs. Crawford snorted, put down her slippers, and helplessly looked at the empty corridor.
It was a shame that she still had to worry about them even though they were all grown up.
If she wasn’t around in the future, what would happen to this family…
Old Mrs. Crawford controlled her wheelchair and went back to her room. She wrapped herself in a shawl, her back showing signs of weariness.
Jean turned her head three times with tears in her eyes. She couldn’t bear to take her eyes off old Mrs. Crawford for even half a minute, until she closed the door…
No problem, no problem.
She still had time. She still had time to say goodbye before July 14th…
Back in her room, old Mrs. Crawford couldn’t fall asleep.
She silently stared at the ceiling, thinking about what she should make for Lilly’s breakfast in the morning. She wondered how quickly Lilly would grow up once she started kindergarten. Which primary school would she go to in the future?
After primary school, Lilly was so smart. She should be able to keep up, right? At least she wouldn’t be as worrisome as Hannah, right?
The more restless Mrs. Crawford became, the more she thought about it. She looked over at the old man beside her, snoring soundly. She became so angry that she kicked old Mr. Crawford.
It was a subconscious action. Old Mrs. Crawford didn’t realize that she could kick someone with her feet, and she was still thinking about Lilly in her heart, so she didn’t even notice it.
Old Mr. Crawford turned over and pulled the blanket to cover himself.
Old Mrs. Crawford muttered under her breath, “Sleep, sleep! Such noise didn’t wake you up, just like a pig!”
Old Mr. Crawford mumbled, “Hulu… Hulu…”
Old Mrs. Crawford was speechless. When she was young, she thought it was an exaggeration to say someone “slept like a rock,” but she never expected to marry someone who was a true heavy sleeper.
“Well…”
Old Mrs. Crawford tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep. So she decided to get up and go downstairs to prepare breakfast.
The night passed, and the next day, Edward, Lilly, and Josh couldn’t wake up early.
Anthony was fine. He was used to staying up late and waking up early, so he was already up.
Old Mr. Crawford sat at the table, sipping his tea with a refreshed expression. He scolded them sternly, “The fifth one still hasn’t woken up? And what about Drake and Josh? Have they learned from Zachary?”
“Where’s Blake?”
Anthony took a sip of strong tea and replied, “He went for a run.”
Old Mr. Crawford snorted. “Gilbert ended up in the emergency room again last night, didn’t he?”
