“As tall as a traffic light.”
“Taller than my dad.”
“Taller than Michael Jordan!”
The children described Lilly’s father’s height one after another, their words innocent and pure.
Blake didn’t even flinch, and smiled slightly.
Seeing the Pineapple Class students pass by, he lowered his eyes and locked his gaze on his little girl in just one glance.
Lilly was also looking up, nervously greeting him, “Hi, daddy, daddy!”
Blake had a serious expression, but when no one was looking, he quietly extended his hand and made an OK gesture to show his acceptance.
Lilly laughed happily, stretched out her chubby little hand, and made an OK gesture in return.
The little interaction between father and daughter melted the hearts of the teachers who witnessed it.
Mr. Sawyer, on the stage, held a microphone and spoke in a gentle voice, “Kids, please stand with your respective classes.”
After the incident on the prairie, Mr. Sawyer looked more tired, but he remained serious and had a smile on his face, making it hard to see his exhaustion.
Once all the classes were lined up, Mr. Sawyer said, “Today, we are honored to have Lilly’s father from Pineapple Class, Instructor MacNeil, to lead our explosion-proof drill! Children, let’s applaud and warmly welcome Instructor MacNeil!”
The children immediately applauded enthusiastically and shouted, “Welcome, welcome!”
Mr. Sawyer raised his hand and said with a smile, “Now, everyone say to Mr. Sawyer: Hello, Instructor MacNeil!”
Children: “Hello, Instructor MacNeil!”
Lilly shouted the loudest.
Blake could hear Lilly’s voice among everyone.
He smiled slightly and said, “Hello, children!”
Mr. Sawyer handed the microphone to Blake.
Blake took the microphone and said, “Today, I will lead all the teachers and students of Animaux International Kindergarten in an explosion-proof drill.”
“Later, there will be a ‘gangster’ who will rush in through the door with a kitchen knife – “
Blake’s explanation deviated from the usual procedure. He believed that the teachers in each class had already explained it.
The children looked towards the school gate. Although the teachers had explained everything, some children still showed panic on their faces.
The principal’s mouth twitched.
Blake continued, “But children, don’t be afraid. Instructor MacNeil, the two uncles behind me, and your teachers will protect you!”
“Now, listen carefully!”
“When you encounter danger, the school police will sound the alarm. Your task is to stay vigilant, keep your eyes on your teacher, and follow their instructions to escape in an orderly manner!”
“Don’t run around, and don’t push others!”
A brave boy from the older class spoke up, “Can’t we fight back against the bad guys?”
Blake immediately denied it, “No! Remember, when you can escape to safety, escaping should always be your first choice!”
After answering the children’s questions and explaining the process of avoiding violence and things to pay attention to, he let the children hear what the explosion-proof alarm sounded like.
Blake started the drill without any further delay.
The school principal was startled.
Teachers: “Wait, wait…”
They weren’t ready yet!
However, an alarm sounded, and a “gangster” dressed in black with a stocking over his face climbed over the wall and charged in with a kitchen knife!
The teachers were in a state of panic and were unable to react immediately, resulting in a chaotic scene.
Mr. Sawyer instinctively rushed forward, quickly grabbed the children who were closest to the gangster, and hurriedly moved away.
Blake’s eyes were keen, and with a single glance, he noticed and memorized the existing weaknesses in their safety system.
This was precisely the desired outcome.
Simply following the predetermined course of action would be futile.
His daughter’s kindergarten needed to focus on achieving practical results!
Otherwise, all the effort he had put into this trip would be wasted!
Chaos ensued as some children cried and others were too startled to know what to do.
Blake dropped the microphone and said in a cold tone, “Remember the escape procedure we just practiced!”
This announcement jolted everyone back to their senses.
A few school policemen rushed over, wielding large weapons to subdue the gangster.
The gangster brandished a ‘kitchen knife’ made of a cardboard box and screamed.
The children screamed in response, and it took half a minute before the teachers managed to regain control of the situation and led the children to escape along the planned route.
Blake glanced around and proceeded upstream, while the school policemen were still engaged in a struggle with the gangster. He grabbed the gangster’s arm with his bare
hands and threw him to the ground!
Boom!
The gangster let out a sudden scream, “Ah…”
“Blake, you’re not human…”
Edward’s head throbbed with pain. When he discovered that Blake had seduced his sister, he had always wanted to beat him up.
Even though he later found out that Blake was a good person, he still couldn’t fully accept him. After all, Jean was the sister they had loved for over 20 years.
To see her being taken away by Blake like this, the older brother couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
When he learned that there would be a drill at the kindergarten, Edward volunteered to play the role of a gangster without saying a word.
Edward planned to take advantage of the drill to knock Blake down… and then pretend to be subdued.
He wanted to show Blake who was in charge of the family.
He didn’t expect to be the one thrown by Blake…
Blake snorted coldly, picked up the microphone, and said casually, “Alright, the first round of the drill is over. Everyone can return.”
The children were all stunned.
Lilly was also shocked.
The gangster lying on the ground was none other than Uncle Edward!
With a black hood on, she couldn’t even recognize him!
