Lilly tilted her head and pondered. “Is everything alright? I haven’t been to kindergarten, so I don’t know how to put on a show.”
Everyone applauded enthusiastically and encouraged Lilly.
It didn’t matter whether Lilly would sing or dance. The main thing was for the performance to be adorable.
Just as everyone thought Lilly wanted to perform a typical show for a little girl, Lilly looked around and walked towards a few stone bricks under the eaves.
“Hah!” Lilly instantly broke a stone brick with her bare hand.
All the hall masters and lieutenant generals were stunned. Wow!
The smile froze on Blake’s face.
Lilly glanced at them. “Why are they stunned? Didn’t they see it?”
Lilly picked up another brick and broke it. “Hah!”
Everyone was amazed once again.
Blake’s eyes widened. It turns out my daughter is so powerful!
Lilly pouted unhappily. “Is my performance not good?”
“Why didn’t everyone applaud?” she wondered.
After Blake gave a signal to the others, they applauded vigorously.
One of the hall masters remarked, “Little Miss is indeed Mr. MacNeil’s daughter…”
They were shocked. Although splitting bricks with bare hands only required years of practice and physical fitness, Lilly was only four!
“Oh my god, is Little Miss training even before birth?”
“No! She was already invincible before birth! She was even powerful from the moment of conception!”
“Hey! Don’t say that in front of a child!”
The man immediately fell silent.
Lilly was curious and asked, “What is conception?”
Instantly, the hall was filled with awkward coughing.
Blake narrowed his eyes slightly. He appeared calm, but a trace of pride couldn’t be concealed. “Well, not bad! Keep practicing and aim to smash the enemy’s brain with your bare hands.”
Everyone was speechless.
“Mr. MacNeil, please don’t scare Little Miss. You can’t teach a cute little girl to smash someone’s brain!” they thought.
Soon, Lilly successfully won everyone’s affection. The hall masters liked Lilly so much that they all wanted to take her to visit the MacNeil villa.
Blake coldly asked, “Don’t any of you have work to do?”
“I still want to hold my daughter. Don’t disturb us!” they thought reluctantly.
Everyone had no choice but to reluctantly return to their duties.
Blake picked up Lilly and said, “Let’s go! It’s time to take you back.”
Lilly nodded. “I want to eat Granny’s food!”
Blake headed towards the SUV out of habit, but suddenly remembered something. He furrowed his brow and said, “We won’t take this car.”
Lilly looked at the female ghost who had been waiting in the back seat and asked Blake, “Why?”
Blake replied flatly, “It’s dirty.”
Lilly only understood a little. “The car is clean. Could it be that Daddy meant the female ghost? But Daddy can’t see her.”
Lilly felt puzzled. She leaned in close to Blake’s ear and whispered, “Daddy, can you see Ms. Head-hugging too?”
“Ms. Head-hugging?” Blake followed Lilly’s gaze to the back of the car. The elders always said that children could see unclean things when they were young. He wondered if Lilly saw a ghost.
As he thought about it, Blake realized what he was thinking and couldn’t help but feel speechless.
“What was I thinking? In this technological age of science, there are no such unreal things!”
“No,” Blake reassured Lilly, touching her little hand. “Don’t talk nonsense.”
Blake took Lilly to the garage and chose a rarely used, clean army green SUV. Then, they set off towards the Crawford family.
Lilly leaned against the window and looked back. Behind the car, the female ghost held her head and quickly followed them.
“She can walk during the day. She must be a malevolent spirit!” Lilly mused. “What kind of spirit is she?”
…
The Crawford family waited until noon before finally seeing an army green SUV drive up arrogantly and stop in front of the mansion.
Lilly poked her head out of the car window and childishly shouted, “Uncle Jack, please open the door!”
Soon, Jack opened the door and exclaimed with joy, “Little Miss, you have returned at last! Old Mrs. Crawford has been longing for your presence!”
As he noticed her forehead, Jack was taken aback.
Didn’t Mr. Anthony assure that Little Miss would remain unharmed?
Lilly stepped out of the car and hurriedly ran into the mansion. “Granny, I’m back!”
Jack tried to examine her forehead, but he couldn’t get a good look. He quickly caught up with her.
Blake followed Lilly at a slower pace, but his long legs allowed him to keep up with her.
Behind them, the female ghost held her head and turned around. When she saw the luxurious Crawford Mansion, a glimmer of excitement appeared in her eyes. Then, she made a strange sound from her throat.
Inside the mansion, Bettany rushed to control the wheelchair and go downstairs. Josh, who was in the mini-library, also dropped his arithmetic book.
Polly suddenly appeared out of nowhere, landed on the slippery handrail, and slid downstairs.
Anthony was sitting on the first-floor sofa,
working, when he heard Lilly’s voice. He stood up calmly and muttered, “Lilly is finally back. They should be relieved now.”
The next moment, he saw Lilly running in. Her forehead was shockingly red and appeared to be bleeding.
Bettany exclaimed, “Lilly!”
Josh hurried forward. “Lilly, what happened to your head? Are you okay? Does it hurt?”
Gilbert asked Liam to fetch the medicine box and hurried over to check on Lilly.
Edward stared at Lilly, and even Jonas put away his foolish expression and frowned.
Hugh, angry and impatient, scolded Anthony, “Didn’t you say she wouldn’t get hurt?”
Anthony looked at the entire family staring at him and didn’t dare to say anything. He glared dangerously at Blake, who had just entered. Blake was so tall that his head almost touched the door frame and blocked the doorway.
The Crawford family followed Anthony’s gaze.
Blake felt the gaze of about eight people staring at him like knives as he entered the mansion.
He saw Hugh, who glared at him gloomily. He also saw Anthony, who had a cold and sharp expression.
