Cora POV “Cora, go home. Alice has arrived.” My supervisor called out from the nurses’ station. “Fantidillyastic, Thanks, Boss.” I blew a kiss her way and headed to change and clock out. It had been a busy night and an even longer day. I was dead on my feet, and those words couldn’t have come…

A quick shower to try and clear my head and wake me up, trying to put in some sort of order what I was to do today. I started the day packing. There wasn’t much. I had been keeping things minimal, hoping to move soon. Well, I am moving, but not where I had thought…

“Want me to put it back in?” I asked, wondering whether I should call an ambulance, but by the time it arrived, I would have done the job. “You can do that?” He was looking me up and down again, making me feel self-conscious. “Yes, my name is Cora. I was a nurse in the…

“Whatever. Who are you? And why are you with my man?” Kit growled at Cora, trying to intimidate her, but Cora was not even the slightest moved by her tantrum. “I am Cora.” She replied softly and continued to fill her plate. “Hey, I am talking to you.” She poked Cora in her side, causing…

“Then you are his, about time, we’ve been waiting what feels like forever for him to choose a woman. He will look after you. Don’t fret about that.” Sounded like that was expected. I am not sure how I feel about that, like, when did I agree with it? “What makes you think I would…

“Not to me, if you touch that woman, or offend her or hurt her in any way, and you will find out why I am the enforcer of this club, she’s going to be wearing my patch one day, so keep your hands, eyes, and mind off her. Or any woman who says no. If…
