Chapter 99 – The Omega Destiny

Filed To Story: The Omega Destiny

Thane wrestles the mic away from Cyrus’ mouth and points for him to sit down, which thankfully he does. I see him wink at his mate from the front row, but Raven seems to be emotionless, I hope the embarrassment isn’t too much for her to handle. My face is red for her.

“Thank you, Cyrus, for your public announcement of murderous intent. Luckily, we are all accustomed to you and will no doubt stay far away from your mate. As I was saying, please join us in one more round of applause and then let’s eat!”

The crowd stands and claps, and we do as well before ushers start dismissing seals to go eat. There is a large feast planned, bonfires will start shortly and there are games amongst live entertainment. This will truly be a fun night.

I turn my head to Raven to see her picking her nails again. “How do you feel about everything you just heard?” I ask her quietly.

“I feel….annoyed and hungry.” Raven shrugs as she leaves the stage and heads toward the food. I see Cyrus following her moments later and he attempts to place his arm around her shoulders and she shoves it away, but he grabs her wrist in time and pulls her to the food. She doesn’t pull it away.

“Are you going to kill him?” I ask Thane as he walks over to me and places a hand on my stomach where the tiny bump has formed, not that you can see it as I purposely wore a loose fitting bouse and dress pants for the occasion thinking I was needing to hide it.

Thane stars laughing as he continues to stare at my stomach through my shirt. “Yep.” Is his only reply.

Ain’t No Bricks in This Wall

My stage shenanigans may have me looking completely unhinged. I am, but it’s the power move I need to shut down Fireballs trust issues surrounding our mating bond. I publicly claimed her. Not only did I lay claim to her in front of every shifter, but I also told every she??olf present that they don’t matter to me. Yes, name??alling wasn’t necessary, but for public displays of affection for my Fireball, it was. She needs to understand that they don’t matter. I don’t want them; they don’t freaking exist to me.

She may be acting tough right now, trying to push me away, but I know that she is replaying everything I just said and trying to figure out how she feels about it. Which is why I am spending the whole night working on tearing down her wall??rick by brick

“Get off of me.” Raven snipes at me. My feelings would hurt if 1 didn’t find the fact she is a brat a turn??n.

“Food’s this way Fireball.” I grab her wrist and pull her along with me because she can pretend all she wants that she is in charge in this situation, but I know she enjoys being dominated. Even if it is difficult for her to admit. She can let her body speak for her.

She doesn’t pull away, but I do hear her growl. I would rather listen to her growling than hear her complaining about me anyway. We hit the buffet line, and I noticed Fireball was barely putting anything on her plate. I quickly remedy this by putting food on her plate. My girl needs to eat.

“Here, you don’t have any meat on your plate yet.

“I haven’t gotten that far, Cyrus.”

“Take this 100,” I say as I put a baked potato on her plate, and she starts growling again. Cute.
