“It shouldn’t take long. Besides, doctors need to know the patient’s case thoroughly before they can make a judgment,” said Jason.

Grace knew that too, but she could not stop feeling anxious.

Fortunately, it was not long before more doctors entered the delivery room.

Grace could only keep praying that her best friend was safe.

There were still moments when one would feel helpless no matter how much money or power one had.

Just then, Martin Weiss rushed over. “What’s the matter? Is Lina still in the delivery room?”

Kyla froze. “What are you doing here?”

“I went to the store to see you, but Mom said Lina’s water broke, so you accompanied her to the hospital,” said Martin Weiss. He was getting more used to calling her mother ‘Mom’.

Kyla answered somewhat difficulty, “Lina’s having a difficult labor, and she’s still in there. Hadwin Stephenson’s accompanying her, and many doctors have gone in.”

Martin Weiss’s face turned solemn when he heard this.

The four said nothing and waited outside the delivery room.

However, as time went by, the air became more depressed.

Sometime later, there was suddenly a piercing roar from the delivery room.

The delivery rooms here were soundproof, but they could hear it when they were standing outside. They could imagine how loud it was inside.

The four of them froze, and Grace said nervously, “What happened? That scream… It seems to be Hadwin Stephenson’s voice! Is it…”

‘Is it Lina? Did something happen to Lina?”

Just then, a doctor rushed out in a hurry and said to Jason, “Young master Reed, the mother in there is dying. She has passed out, and the baby is stuck in the birth canal. We can’t carry out a Caesarean section, so we can only opt for a natural birth. But judging from the current situation, I’m afraid it’ll be difficult to save both the mother and baby.”

Grace almost fainted when she heard this. Kyla, who was nearby, also paled.

“How did this happen? Is there nothing we can do?” Grace asked urgently, finally understanding why Hadwin Stephenson let out such a piercing roar.

It was tantamount to losing his wife and baby overnight!

“If there’s a way, we would have done it already. We’ve done everything we can. We doctors aren’t gods. There’s nothing we can do!” the doctor said.

Grace staggered and would have collapsed if Jason had not supported her.

“There must be another way. There must be!” Grace sobbed as tears streamed out of her eyes. “We said we would play mahjong together in the future!”

Kyla was sobbing too. They were together just a few hours ago, talking and laughing. However, a few hours later, this happened!

Just then, a young voice rang out. “I can save her!”

Grace and Kyla looked toward the voice. It was the same little boy they had seen back then. The mysterious little boy who predicted that Lina was carrying a daughter had appeared outside the delivery room, saying he could save Lina!

“Can you really save Lina?” asked Grace.

“Yes, I can save her and her baby.” Of course, the baby mattered more to him!

Grace stared at the boy. “This isn’t a game but concerns actual lives. Do you know that?”

The little boy said calmly, “I know. But you’d better let me in soon, or there’s no way I can save them.”

Grace took a deep breath, “Okay, I’ll bring you inside!”

Kyla said urgently, “Grace, do you really believe that this kid can save Lina and the baby?” After all, the kid was too young. How could a seven or eight-year-old boy save someone even specialists could not save?

“Since the doctor has said that there’s nothing else they can do to save Lina, we can only try everything in this moment of despair. Besides… the kid was right about the baby’s gender before this. Maybe there’s something special about him!” said Grace. She could only take a bet.

Grace led the little boy to the delivery room, and Kyla followed. The two women entered the delivery room while the two men waited outside.

After entering the delivery room, Grace only saw Hadwin Stephenson sobbing and shouting Lina’s name.

Lina had passed out on the birthing bed with no color on her face. Her big bulging belly was not exuding life but death.

The doctors and nurses in the ward saw the three people coming in and were trying to stop them when Grace said, “I’m Jason’s wife, Grace. I’m also Lina’s friend. Since you failed to save her, then I’ll give my way a try!”

Grace’s voice seemed to give Hadwin Stephenson some hope after losing it just now. “Do you really have a way to save Lina?”

“It’s this child. He said he has a way to save them,” said Grace.

“Him?” Hadwin Stephenson looked at the little boy in front of him with surprise. Could a child whose height only reached his waist save Lina? “Are you… kidding me?”

“Why don’t we just let him try anyway?” asked Grace.

Just then, the little boy beside Grace walked up to Lina, who was in a coma. He picked up an unused scalpel when no one noticed and cut his own hand!

“Ah!” a nurse shouted.

A doctor yelled, “What’s the boy doing? Hurry… Hurry and get him out of here!”

“Don’t touch me!” the little boy shouted suddenly. There was a rare sense of authority in his voice.

While the doctors and nurses were stunned, the little boy raised his hand and moved his bleeding hand to Lina’s mouth. One drop, two drops… The red blood dripped.

Lina, who had fainted, gasped for air and opened her eyes.

The little boy said to Lina, “You have to deliver her no matter what you do, or both of you will die!”

Lina seemed to understand what the little boy said. Her face instantly turned red as her hands grasped the covers.

It was as if she was trying to use her remaining strength to give birth to the baby in her belly.

The doctors and nurses, who had given up hope, gathered round and began to work on delivering the baby again.

Grace and Kyla gaped at all this. Who knew… the boy’s blood could give Lina the strength to deliver the baby?

Hadwin Stephenson also quickly rushed to Lina with surprise and joy. It was as if hope had  been injected into the despair he felt.

Finally, the baby was born.

However, the baby was purple and not breathing.

Doctors and nurses rushed to rescue the baby. However, after one minute, two minutes… The baby was still not crying.

“Give her to me,” the little boy said to the doctor, who was holding the baby.

The doctor hesitated. After all, she had seen the little boy feed the mother blood. She immediately regained consciousness after that and delivered the baby.
