The last few days have been surprising, to say the least. Chris has been sending me text after text after the mall encounter, and they get weirder by the day. Zeke and Zane have been quiet. I am unsure if that is a positive or negative sign. Are they quiet because they are ready to accept my rejection tonight, or is something else brewing? Nadia and I have been texting, and we have even met for a drink to catch up. I wasn’t planning on telling her anything personal about my life, but after she kept on sobbing and telling me how sh*t her life has been when she fell into a deep depression after I left, I decided to forgive her and tell her about my life after I left as well. She was deeply shocked by everything I told her, she hasn’t been outside Red Dagger much and thus hasn’t seen much of the world out there. Needless to say, she was more than shocked when I told her I found my dragon family and that I have a dragon as well.
A strange emotion flickered in her eyes when I told her that Damon was my brother, and upon pressing, she told me he was her mate. I asked why on earth neither of them said anything, and she replied she thought he was my chosen mate and didn’t want to hurt me any more than she already had. It melted away the last ice there was between us, and I can honestly say I have forgiven her. I am still wondering why Damon hasn’t said anything though, but I am sure he will tell me when the time is right for him. To speed that time up a little bit, I invited Nadia to come to the club we would be going to tonight. She was hesitant at first, but she actually smiled for the first time since meeting her again when I asked her who the hell she would have to fear with an ice dragon as her friend. She had tears in her eyes when I called her my friend again, and it tugged at my heart to see her so broken. Hopefully, she is on the mends now.
So, tonight is the night we go clubbing. I have a sexy, black dress laid out for tonight. Even for the new me, the dress is really bold. Starting from just below my breasts, the sides of the dress are completely open, held together by criss cross strands of fabric which stop right at my hips. Below that, the sides are completely open and revealing my naked skin. Not that the criss cross strands of fabric do any good to cover my skin though. As the chest area is completely covered up until my neck and the fabric covering my private area drops to just above my feet, it has still a bit of a sophisticated look despite being extremely revealing. I am a bit anxious, as well as a bit sad, as it has been a really long time since I went clubbing and it was always with Nick. I was never much of a party girl. Nick and I only went on a few occasions, which mostly ended in me dry humping him as I get very uh, friendly, when I am intoxicated. I will probably drink more than a little tonight, to try to forget the residual pain in my chest when I think of him. It has lessened though, the pain. I mostly smile when I think of him now. Although clubbing could be a trigger point again, so I intend to get sh*tfaced drunk tonight.
Lola POV
Damon and his friends, Trevor, Tyreese, Leroy, Mike, Jay and I walk into the club, and I am immediately in awe. I have never been to a club like this before, the vibe in here is something else. I love music and can actually get lost in it. And the way the music is drumming through the place is amazing. “Wow” I breathe out. Damon smiles and nudges me “you like it?”. I smile at him and nod eagerly. “Let’s get some drinks” Damon grabs my hand and pulls me to the bar, while the rest of the guys follow suit. “What are we having?” Damon asks, but I honestly have no clue. I give him a sheepish grin and shrug my shoulders “you pick something”. Damon smiles and turns his attention to the bartender, while I am still looking around the place. Upstairs there seem to be some VIP sections. Which I’m sure we could be at too, but it seems boring up there. If you came to only converse with your own crowd, why go out at all? Isn’t meeting new people the whole point of going out?
“I thought Damon was joking when he said you’d never gone to clubs much” Trevor yells into my ear, in an attempt to be heard over the loud music. I don’t know why, but I am all of a sudden really aware of his close proximity. It’s like being all dressed and dolled up like this has given me a wanton attitude, I feel confident and cheeky somehow. I left my slightly curly hair down and gave my lashes some lift and mascara, finishing them off with a cat eye eyeliner. “You look drop dead gorgeous by the way. I know I’m not supposed to say that, but you are absolutely stunning” Trevor continues, as I was lost in thoughts and forgot to answer. I know Damon had given orders to the guys to treat me as a sister, but judging by the look on Trevor’s face, he seems to have something else on his mind entirely. He is handsome though, no doubt. Many girls are glancing at him as they walk past. But he also seems like kind of a playboy, and I am not up for that. If I give a part of myself to anybody, I will make sure it is with someone who only has eyes for me. So, I smile politely and say “thank you” before joining Damon by his side. I drink my first cocktail and holy mother goddess, this is some good stuff! Pretty soon we are also chugging down bottles of goldstrike, and the party is in full swing. It takes a lot for werewolves and dragons to get drunk, but as the bottles are flowing like water, I am starting to feel the effects.
Apparently, I’m a hugger when drunk. I knew I was with Nick, but I thought that was only with him. As Damon also just found out, as he has barely been able to get rid of me and my hugs for the past hour. “Sis, you know I love you to death, right? But – you are kind of a c*ck blocker tonight. No woman dares to try prying me away from the prettiest woman here” he laughs wholeheartedly. I chide him, slapping him with the back of my hand playfully, before saying “sorry for loving you!” dramatically with a pout. I am a lot more expressive when tipsy it seems. This earns me another laugh, before he nudges his head behind me and says “I think someone would like to dance”. I turn around to see Trevor behind me with a dazzling smile on his face, his hand outstretched “dance?”. “You don’t have to dance with me just because Damon wants this c*cblocker out of the way, you know. I’d easily find someone to dance with” I huff. “I know that, you are the most gorgeous woman here. I was just hoping you’d say yes to me, since I’m the first one that dares to ask?” he looks at me with a boyish grin on his face.
Right when I’m about to answer, the energy in the room shifts and I see a lot of heads turn. I hear a couple of women gossiping about the pieces of meat that just walked in. I wasn’t going to look, until the smell of evergreen and cedarwood wafts into my nose. I turn around to see Zeke and Zane walking into the club with a bunch of men and, of course, women. The women are dressed even sluttier than the average woman here – and that is saying something. I can’t help but be annoyed instantly. Zeke and Zane spot me, but to my surprise they don’t acknowledge my existence at all and just walk off. Not that I care. Idi*ts. “You know what, I’d love to dance” I tell Trevor, right when Sean Paul – temperature comes on. One of my all-time favorites. Trevor and I are dancing – or well grinding – intimately together for some time, lost in the moment. The alcohol isn’t doing me any favors, as I feel my boundaries slipping away fast. I am grinding against Trevor as he has his hands on my waist, holding me from behind. Anyone who doesn’t know us would surely think we are either a couple, or are getting it on tonight. Neither of which is my plan though. “I love dancing with you” Trevor says into my ear lustfully, sending involuntarily shivers down my spine. “Bathroom break, be right back” I respond in return, completely ignoring his lingering gaze and the way he reluctantly lets go of me. I need a break before I get carried away. Doing my business in the cubicle, I can hear a group of girls giggling and squealing how hot the 2 handsome strangers are. By their conversation I can tell they mean Zeke and Zane, and I can’t help but roll my eyes. For the love of the goddess, can’t I get a break anywhere?
