Soon, Eric was awoken by Emma’s sobs. He immediately sat up and looked at her teary eyes. Without saying a word, he simply helped her wipe away her tears.
“Book me in for surgery as soon as possible. I’ll go ahead with it.”
“Huh?” Eric was surprised.
“I can’t stand seeing you in pain,” Emma said with a choked up voice. “I can’t endure fighting with you any longer. I admit defeat.”
Eric did not say a word as he sat on the bed and pulled Emma into his embrace. They obviously loved each other, but…they also hurt each other as well. However, this was what made them understand the depth of their love for each other.

Lu Guangli did not look pleased as he also left soon after.
