He was probably going to lose to her all his life, but he had no regrets!

The bed was cold at night!

William’s tiny body curled up under the covers. He knew Jasper had gone out for dinner with Uncle Reed and aunt Cummins.

His warm bed had now seemed to turn cold.

‘When will Jasper be back? Will she come into my room again?’

Jasper said, “I fell asleep when we came home yesterday, so Daddy put me in my room. But I brought you a present yesterday! They had chocolate so delicious I made Mommy buy a box for you.”

She looked so happy as she spoke.

He pressed his small lips together but did not tell her that he did not really like chocolate. He only liked chocolate because she liked it.

On the way to the kindergarten, Jasper brought the chocolate to William. She opened one and said, “Ah, open your mouth. It’s delicious.”

He opened his mouth and ate the chocolate she gave him. The sweetness spread in his mouth. It was so sweet… So sweet…

If only things could forever stay like this!
