Holding a gun, Macsen flexed his fingers as his knuckles turned white. “I don’t care about people’s lives! I can kill them if I’m happy, including you!”
“Is that so?” Flossie stubbornly faced the gun and walked forward. She glared at him coldly. “A demon like you should never live. I’ll kill you, even if I have to die for it!”
She swiftly pounced on and pushed him down despite the heavy sandbag.
Everything happened so fast, Macsen was dumbstruck. Flossie even managed to knock on his gun. The gun went off, firing a bullet at a nearby stone pillar. It nearly hurt one of Macsen’s subordinates.
“Oh, you don’t care about people’s lives, do you? You can just kill them, huh? I’ll make you suffer today!” Flossie acted crazily and strangled Macsen’s neck using her handcuffed hands. She suppressed her disgust and bit his neck. “You fucking bastard! Do you know how hard it is for a mother to raise a child? I don’t have to hold back since you’re motherless. I’ll bite you and kill you!”
Macsen cried in agony. “Ah, help! You’re out of your mind! Let go of me!”
He was considered a tough and tall man but was suppressed by Flossie, who was once a top killer. He was worse than her in terms of power and agility.
That scene struck everyone dumb, especially Mateo. His eyes widened in shock.
“Is…she that aggressive? She just bit him! She’s worse than lions or tigers. This is beyond my expectations!” However, Liam wasn’t surprised. He even smiled proudly. “Yes, she’s born like this but held back a little these years because of her kids. Well, she was fiercer and more aggressive in the past.”
Liam missed the time when she was still a tough member of society. She could kill dozens of people alone. Sometimes she would barge into her enemies territories alone and get rid of their boss in three hours. She was once an awe-inspiring legend in the field.
“I thought she was a weak and delicate woman!” A lingering fear gripped Mateo.
Capturing her had been a risk! It seemed he had successfully caught her because she submitted to him. Given her skills and power, he would never have succeeded if she didn’t want to get caught.
Suddenly, he felt lucky that he had not done anything outrageous to Flossie and Leia. He even served them well. If not, he would end up miserably.
Macsen struggled hard for a long time and finally could catch a breath. He ordered his subordinates loudly,’ Motherfucker! Stop standing there! Get her away from me!”
He controlled the armed forces of the fort, so all of his subordinates were skillful and came with good weapons. They acted like a small army.
Everyone looked at each other in dismay before raising their weapons to attack Flossie.
Liam ordered his subordinates to fight Macsen’s men when he noticed the danger. “Don’t hurt her, or I’ll fight you!”
There were more than ten people from both sides. When they started fighting, the whole jetty was filled with the sounds of weapons and bullets. It was a mess.
That battle sacrificed a lot of Liam’s subordinates. Gradually, he failed to hold on.
“Mateo, where are your men? Get them into the fight. If anything happens to Boss, you’ll suffer too. That crazy Halston will kill everyone!”
While fighting Macsen’s subordinates, Liam wanted to involve Mateo in the fight since the latter was merely watching. Besides, he knew what a man like Mateo, who was good at weighing the pros and cons, cared about the most.
As expected, Mateo chose to side with Liam when he heard that this mess would affect his relationship with Halston.

“You’re right. Macsen took Ms. Ellsworth here. Then, I must take full responsibility for this. Fight them… We must save Ms. Ellsworth and Ms. Osborne!” Mateo declared.
Hence, his subordinates started fighting Macsen’s subordinates. The three forces got into a fight, and the situation wasn’t good.
“Crazy bitch! You almost bit my neck off! You fucking let go of me, bitch!”
Flossie forcefully pressed on Macsen and kept biting him, preventing him from moving.
He couldn’t figure out why such a seemingly slim woman could be so strong, and decided on killing her. If others learned that a handcuffed woman managed to make him unable to retaliate despite the heavy sandbag, he would be humiliated.
“Hmph! Is it painful? Why did you shoot that man? His parents raised him hard, and he was only in his twenties. Did you ever consider that he might feel pain when you shot him?” Flossie snarled.
Flossie was carefree, and thought it was fine if she got killed since the reality was cruel. However, she changed her mind when she saw Macsen casually kill a young man. She wanted to seek justice for him, and it raised her desire to fight.
She recalled that it was her sense of justice that made her a killer during those days. She wanted to use violence to stop violence and seek justice. She wanted to eliminate all the sinful people who escaped the punishment of the law.
Macsen’s actions reawakened the awe-inspiring top killer in Flossie, the so-called Phoenix, who was once a legend.
“No, you’re out of your mind! Are you in love with that subordinate of mine?” Macsen was puzzled as his neck bled profusely. “You don’t have to do this!”
When the fight reached an intense moment, Macsen’s subordinates managed to surround Liam and Mateo. They were disappointing

Flossie regained her wits and turned to look at Liam. Her mouth was bloody. A helpless sigh escaped her. “Why are you this useless? How could they get you?”
Helpless, she slowly got up and let Marsen go temporarily.
“Motherfucker! Go to hell!”
When Macsen regained freedom, he was no longer a gentleman. He slapped Flossie twice with one hand and held his neck with the other. Then, he ordered his subordinates, “Tie them up with the woman on that ship!”
“Okay!”
Macsen’s subordinates were obedient. They quickly grabbed a thick and heavy rope to tie up Flossie, Liam, Leia, and Mateo together, tying the rope around them thrice.
“Liam, why are you caught too? You’re so useless. We even wanted you to save us.”
When Leia saw Liam, she thought they were doomed. At first, she felt that she and Flossie could escape. After all, Liam had survived in the fort for such a long time. He should have some connections and could rescue them.
Unluckily, her savior was tied up too. There was nothing else to say. They were doorned.
“Hey, Macsen is in charge of the fort’s army. His team comes with the top power, weapons, and intelligence. Liam and I focus on business. Normally, we couldn’t fight them,” Mateo hurriedly explained to regain some dignity for Liam and himself.

“Stop saying such discouraging words!” Liam frowned and tried to comfort everyone. “No one knows what will happen at the end. I think that Macsen won’t be so reckless unless he wants to fall out with Benjamin.”
Macsen grew more ruthless these two years as his power grew. For a moment, Benjamin needed to bow to him. But if Macsen fell out with Benjamin, he might not necessarily defeat Benjamin. Hence, Macsen didn’t have to act out of spite and ruin the authority he had earned patiently for so many years after much suffering.
“You don’t know Macsen or Benjamin..” Mateo snorted.
For the first time, he addressed Benjamin by name. Coldness gleamed in his eyes.
“You and I are just tools for him. He’ll gain more tools even if he loses us. But Macsen’s different. He comes with military power and is the husband of Benjamin’s sister. Plus, Macsen has a child with her. Marsen has contributed to Benjamin’s bloodline. Who do you think Benjamin will pick?”
“He’s right,” Flossie chimed in.
Flossie was well aware of the situation and was calm in the face of death.
“If Macsen wants to kill us, Benjamin will feign ignorance. I think we’re doorned here today,”
“Whatever. I’m not afraid!” Leia didn’t take it too seriously, grinning. “You and Liam are the most important people to me. Although we weren’t born on the same day, it’s great that we can die on the same day. I want us to be siblings in our next lives!”
“Silly, you’re so optimistic. We’re going to get killed, not attending a party! Why are you this happy?” Liam’s gloominess and tenseness gradually relaxed because of Leia’s optimistic and happy tone. “Yeah, it isn’t a big deal. I have no regrets since I can die with you guys.”
