Alexander wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. The two of us walked into the bedroom after we put Anastasia to sleep, and for the first time since the two of us have gotten married we were together in private.
Alpha Vladimir not only made a statement that caught the two of us off guard, but he was sure to keep his eyes on ME as he spoke, and that was something that I didn’t expect, especially when I knew that Alexander wanted nothing more than to stop the Alpha from approaching me. “It seems like you are going to have a lot to deal with right now.” I said, raising an eyebrow at my husband who chuckled and nodded. I knew that he was a lot calmer now that the two of us have had a few moments together and that he knew that we were somewhat welcome within the pack. It was likely to the two of us that the pack could be wanting to associate with us in a friendly manner to ensure that no issues rose, but that still didn’t mean that the two of us were not going to take a chance in building ourselves again. If anything, we knew that things needed to take a different turn. “And do you think that we would be able to surpass the challenges that we are going to have?” Alexander asked, his tone softening. I knew that he was trying to get his strength from me, and that was exactly what I was going to give him. I knew for fact that he was going to be able to surpass a lot more than just a little bit, the man has gone through a lot more, he just needed to heal from the traumatic experience that he was going through.
I knew that he was still in pain after what his mother and father did. It killed him inside to know that his family broke his heart, and that is something that I knew that he would need me to be able to get past this. But I wasn’t going to pressure him into talking about it if he couldn’t. He needed his own time to process what happened, and I needed to give it to him if he was going to be able to surpass this without a problem. It was part of us being supportive to one another, and as his wife, I knew when to and when not to take a step back.
“I don’t think that you would be able to surpass this, Alexander.” I said, making him frown in confusion before I wrapped my arms around his n*eck as I leaned in to connect my l*ips with his. “I know that you are going to surpass this and a lot more, my love.”
He smiled at my choice of words before connecting his l*ips with mine. The k*iss was gentle and loving, and I knew that it held a lot of meaning for the two of us. If anything, the two of us knew for fact that we were going to be there for one another. It was us against everyone, and that was something that we were going to prove, to one another first, then the world.
He slowly pushed me back toward the bed, and I couldn’t help the low m*oan that escaped me as he bit my bottom l*ip, pulling on it gently.
He smirked, feeling the effect that he was having on me, and I couldn’t help but whimper because of it. The two of us deepened the k*iss before he pushed his tongue inside my mouth and pushed me back on bed. My heart raced against my c*hest, and raising myself, I took my shirt off. He smirked at that before taking his own off followed by his pants. I blushed at it, but knew that I wanted to satisfy him. It has been a long while since the two of us have had any intimate moments.
It was either us fighting others or one another, and that was something that I knew affected us badly. It pained me to admit it, but I knew that it was toxic, but I was thankful to how things came as they did. The two of us knew that we were able to surpass a lot more than others would be, and that was something that I was more than just a little grateful for. If anything, I was happy with everything that the two of us were doing.
Alexander pushed me back to lay on the bed as he hovered over my b*ody. He spread my l*egs using his left t*high before getting between them and g*rinding against me. My cheeks reddened and he smirked before biting my n*eck gently, s*ucking on the spot that he had marked months ago.
It amazed me how far the two of us have gotten despite all the conflicts and all the pain. And pulling away from my n*eck, Alexander ran his finger over my cheek, making my heart skip a beat as I saw his true smile reaching his eyes.
For the first time since everything, my husband dropped his walls down completely, and I didn’t see the Alpha that I knew or was used to seeing. I saw my best friend, the man that I grew up knowing and falling in love with.
His eyes studied my expression for a few seconds before he leaned in and connected his l*ips with mine. His k*iss was far more gentle than any of his other k*isses, and I couldn’t help but feel like my heart skipped a beat. It was something that I wouldn’t have imagined feeling if I was paid for them to convince me of it.
“I am f*ucking in love with you, Scarlett.” He said, his tone softer than it has ever been, “and I don’t want you saying it back, because I know for fact that you have proven your love to me in more times than anyone would have ever done so.” I stayed quiet as he kept his eyes on mine, studying my expression for a few seconds before he rested my forehead against mine. “But you are the one reason why I am holding strong, and that is something that I want you to forever keep in your mind. Do you understand me, Neonata?”
