“I’m sure you’re not as familiar with this place as I am. I’ve been living here for more than two decades. My family moved here to do business. Since we came from the same country, you don’t have to stand on ceremony with me,” the man went on.

Then, he naturally placed his palm on Flossie’s shoulders.

What are you doing? I don’t mind teaching you a lesson if you don’t know where to put your hand!” Leia screamed at the man rudely, rolling up her sleeves.

“Hey, you’ve got a bad temper. The girls here are very obedient. If they’ve got a bad temper, they’ll end up badly..

The man smiled slyly, and placed his other hand on Lela’s shoulders.

“But I’m nice. I won’t find fault with an ignorant girl. I want to befriend you!”

“Go away!” Angry, Leia was about to throw him over her shoulders but Flossie stopped her.

“Forget it. Don’t sink to his level. Let’s grab our luggage and leave!”

Coincidentally, their luggage had come out. Flossie stepped forward and grabbed her luggage, automatically putting some distance from the man.

She said carefully, “I’m sorry. We’ve got a friend here. He’s doing business here too. He’ll come and pick us up right away. Thank you for your kindness, but we don’t need it. Bye!”

“You’ve got a friend here? When the man heard that, he held himself back. He stopped talking too.

“Let’s go, Lei,” Flossie whispered to Leia, carrying her luggage while holding Leia’s hand. Lela had always had a bad temper. She was also the favorite daughter of the Osborne family. and had never suffered such rude treatment.

She kept complaining, “Flossie, why were you such a coward? We shouldn’t have suffered in silence with a ruffian like that! We should’ve beaten the tar out of him! He’ll learn that he couldn’t harass girls so easily. He’ll stop bothering other girls, too.

“This is his territory. We can’t cause trouble.”

Flossie walked quickly; she just wanted to leave the airport sooner. She didn’t forget that she was there to attend Liam’s wedding, not to seek justice for others. If the issue got big, it would affect Liam. She didn’t want to trouble him.

Besides, she could see that the man came with a lot of friends waiting nearby. Since he could casually smoke in the airport, it showed that he had some kind of authority.

He might be difficult to handle.

Under such circumstances, the best solution was to quickly get away from that man.

Both Flossie and Leia took the escalator and walked a long way before they finally exited the airport. Only then did Flossie breathe a sigh of relief.

She said to Leia, “Okay, call Liam. Ask him to get someone to pick us up.”

They kept their trip to Goldshire a secret from Liam, as he didn’t want Lela to attend the wedding with the excuse that the city came with a complicated environment. It would be easy for her to run into bad guys. Giving him her blessings was enough.

At first, Leia hesitated to come, but after planning it out with Flossie, she became bolder. She felt that it was fine since she was just there to attend a wedding.

Unfortunately, they ran into an annoying sleazebag at the airport. It was a real bummer.

“Okay.” Lela nodded. “I know this place would be chaotic, but I didn’t expect it to be this serious! What the hell was that? I have to ask Liam to get someone here quickly. If not, those guys are going to surround and rob us.”

Leia watched the motorbikes coming, and going and the intense leering from the men. It filled her with goosebumps. She quickly fished her phone out to call Liam.

“Oh, shit! Where’s my phone?” Leia couldn’t find her phone. “I put it in my pocket just now! Why is it gone?”

“It’s gone?” Flossie frowned, and subconsciously touched her pocket. Her phone, which was supposed to be there, was gone too.”It must be that man! He stole them when we weren’t paying attention!”

Flossie tried to recall their brief encounter with that man. He seemed to have touched her pocket as well. She had been careless because she was focused on keeping the peace.

“Your phone’s gone too?” Leia asked anxiously, looking at the solemn Flossie.

“Mm.” Flossie nodded.

What should we do now? It’s hard to get by without a phone nowadays. Liam didn’t tell me his precise address, either. How are we going to meet him?” Leia grew anxious. ‘If I knew, I wouldn’t acted rashly! I should’ve at least informed him. We wouldn’t be this helpless otherwise.”

“It’s fine. I know the address. Let’s catch a ride there,” Flossie said, trying to comfort Lela.

Based on her previous fading memory, she could roughly remember the location of the fort where Liam was. It seemed to be located in a distant local village. Benjamin called himself Draco and established a large fort there. He even called himself a master.

That fort was strictly guarded. It came with its military power and social system, and was just like a mini nation. Everyone in the fort, regardless of their ages, was fierce and violent.

They could get near the fort, but couldn’t enter it without a pass.

Regardless, Flossie wanted to go there first.

There seems to be a bus stop ahead. Let’s go to that town first.”

Flossie and Leia crossed the sidewalk and walked toward the bus stop some distance away from them.

Before they could enter the bus stop, however, the tanned man who approached them at the airport just now stopped in front of them on a motorbike.

Behind him were six or seven men, also on a motorbike, looking fierce and dangerous.

“Hey, gorgeous. Didn’t you say your friend was coming to get you? Why are you catching a ride here? Listen, I own the buses here. Just tell me where you’re going. I’ll give you a free ride!”

When Leia saw him, she could no longer hold herself back. She rushed forward and grabbed his collar. “You have the nerve to stop us! Give us back our cell phones, or you’ll be sorry!”

“Cell phones? What do you mean? I don’t understand what you’re talking about.” The man smiled slyly as he held Leia’s hand. “What’s wrong? Did you lose your phone, gorgeous? Tell me what it looks like. I’ve got quite a lot of connections. I’ll get it back for you quick.”

“You’re asking for it!” Leia was so disgusted, she had goosebumps. She raised her leg and kicked his chest.

“Argh, bitch! You’re fucking rude!”

The man, kicked to the ground, held his chest angrily and turned to his lackeys behind him,

“What are you waiting for? She did this to me! Get them!”

The motorbikes revved loudly and surrounded Flossie and Leia. Some of the men held steel pipes. They seemed like thugs who belonged to a nasty organization used to shady acts. They couldn’t care less about the consequences.

*Flossie, what should we do? Should we fight them? Leia grew timid from the sheer number of motorbikes around them. More and more spectators came to watch as well.

Surrounded by so many fierce men, Leia and Flossie had no way to escape.

Leia regretted her previous impulsiveness. If these men captured them, they might end up miserably, just like the novels she had read about with Southeast Aeos as the setting.

“That’s our only option.” Flossie calmly put the luggage down and started warming up.

“You look like you want to fight us, but you’re so skinny.” The man looked at Flossie and grinned sarcastically. “I always have a soft spot for women. I can’t be rough with you-unless you want to fight me in bed.”

Flossie maintained her calm smile. “Let me ask you one last time. Did you steal our phones? If you did, this is your last chance. Give them back to us. If not.. I’ll make you regret it.”

“Hey, woman, you’re so arrogant. How dare you threaten me! Why don’t you ask around? I’m Lucas Sitwell. Do you know my status in this territory?’ Lucas raised his chin, his tone smug. “No one dares to touch me in Goldshire except for Draco!”

Draco was Benjamin, the master of a fort as well as Liam’s future father-in-law.

“Is that so?” Flossie smiled. “Then, I need to congratulate you.”

“For what?’ Lucas asked Flossie in confusion, stunned.
