Her face grew colder and colder each time.
Her parents had called to ask her what was going on. She wanted to ask Hadwin Stephenson too, but… she just could not get in touch with him. She had called him several times but got no answer.

After turning off the video, Katherine Jackson pondered for a moment before getting up and driving to Hadwin Stephenson’s villa in Emerald City.
Security guards stopped Katherine Jackson when she got to the villa’s entrance.

“Mr. Stephenson said that outsiders aren’t allowed to enter the villa unless he permits it,” the security guard said. Apparently, Katherine Jackson was listed as an ‘outsider’.
Katherine Jackson glared at them. “Then tell Hadwin Stephenson he’d better let me in if he doesn’t want me to go after his precious baby. Otherwise, he’ll be the one who regrets it.”
Therefore, the security guards had to contact the villa. They let Katherine Jackson in after a while.
Katherine Jackson’s face was grim. She did not expect that she had to one day use Lina’s name to enter this villa!
When she walked into the villa, she saw Hadwin Stephenson sitting on a couch in the living room, drinking a cocktail.
She knew he had concocted it himself. She had seen him drink it many times and concoct it himself over the past five years.
Katherine Jackson knew Hadwin Stephenson preferred this cocktail but did not know that Lina liked it. That was the very reason why he learned to make it.
“So you can’t let Lina go after all! You let me in as soon as I mentioned her. Were you going to keep shutting me out if hadn’t brought up her name?” Katherine Jackson asked with a sneer.
“You shouldn’t have gone after her,” Hadwin Stephenson said lightly.
“I shouldn’t have gone after her? Did you ever think about me when you left holding her hand in front of all those reporters today? What do you want me to say to those reporters now? Don’t forget, we’re about to get married!” Katherine Jackson showed a rare exasperated side of her.
“That’s because you went after her. I told you a long time ago not to touch her!” Hadwin Stephenson’s voice was cold.
Katherine Jackson was shocked. ‘He knows?’
What Hadwin Stephenson said next made embarra**ment flash through Katherine Jackson’s face.
“Isn’t this just what you wanted? You bribed that verified account, those reporters, and hired an army of internet trolls. You probably spent a lot of money.”
Katherine Jackson felt a thump in her heart. ‘He knows!’
“Katherine Jackson, aren’t you just trying to force me to make a choice? I’ve made my choice now,” said Hadwin Stephenson.
Katherine Jackson gritted her teeth in hatred, knowing that the man before her had seen through all her actions.
Yes, she wanted to use such a way to test the man. She deliberately devised a plan to put Lina in trouble. She wanted Lina to become the target of public criticism and let everyone condemn her!

Katherine Jackson trembled as panic flashed through her eyes. She told herself, ‘No, he doesn’t know about it!
‘If he really knew, how could he have done nothing for five years?
‘But if he had really endured it for five years, then this man… is truly frightening!’
Hadwin Stephenson did not look up at her until he finished his gla** of cocktail. “Didn’t the Jackson family, my mother, and my two brothers join hands to push me to the edge five years ago?”
Katherine Jackson roared, “What are you talking about? It was the Jackson family and me who rescued you five years ago! Without the Jackson family and me, Lina would have been dead and you would’ve gone into hiding somewhere!”
“Didn’t the Jackson family plan this all along? My two brothers are already married and have children. Even if one of them were to divorce and marry you, you probably would’ve been unwilling. I’m unmarried and childless, so I was naturally the best choice.”
Hadwin Stephenson spoke slowly. The Jackson family thought only they knew about their scheme, but so did he.
“The Jackson family was only waiting to give me a hand when I was in trouble. I could only rely on the Jackson family if I wanted to turn the tables. Everything would work out then. What a good plan that would make me grateful to the Jackson family!”
“It’s all just your speculation.” Katherine Jackson tried hard to suppress her panic.
“Speculation? Isn’t the Jackson family planning to take over the Stephenson family through the wedding? Do I need to be more specific about the Jackson family’s plot?” asked Hadwin Stephenson.
“You…” Surprise flashed across Katherine Jackson’s eyes. She did not expect Hadwin Stephenson to know so much. She was scared now!

“Of course not. As a boyfriend, I just want my girlfriend to stay here for a few days. You’ll be free when all is said and done in a few days,” said Hadwin Stephenson.
Katherine Jackson’s heart sank instantly.
‘A few days… so he already has a plan?
“I’m not staying here.” She tried to force her way through, but the two men blocked her left and right.
“Take Miss Jackson to the room we prepared and keep an eye on her. Don’t let her leave that room these few days,” Hadwin Stephenson said coldly.
