The manager and the sales a**istant looked grim.

Irene Lynch was shocked when the sales a**istant mentioned ‘friend’. ‘Is that friend… Grace? Is Grace in the boutique now?’

Irene Lynch was thinking about it when she heard a voice. “Who’s apologizing to who?”

Irene Lynch shuddered and looked in the direction of the voice. She could only see Grace walking over in the black gown she had her eye on earlier.

Grace had her long hair up. A few strands of hair casually fell on her cheeks. The gown made Grace look elegant and posh.

Irene Lynch felt even more jealous when she saw Grace. It… was the gown she had her eye on! She had been hoping to impress everyone at the banquet with this gown so that she could defeat Grace.

However, when Grace wore the gown, Irene Lynch knew that even if she got her hands on it, she would not wear it to the banquet.

“What a coincidence, Miss Cummins. I didn’t expect you to be here,” Irene Lynch said with embarra**ment.

“It’s quite coincidental, indeed. I heard the noise when I was in the fitting room earlier. I didn’t expect it to be you,” said Grace. Then, she corrected, “Also, I think you should be calling me Mrs. Reed. Didn’t Jay warn you about it last time?”

Irene Lynch ground her teeth. ‘Jay… Jay… How intimately she was referring to him.’ She had tried to call Young master Reed Jason’ once but he unhappily warned her to call him Mr. Reed.

“Mrs. Reed…” Irene Lynch laughed dryly and said, “It was only a misunderstanding earlier. Don’t mind it.”

“How could it be a misunderstanding? This woman’s friend splashed water all over you,” the sales a**istant who had been flattering Irene Lynch said. She looked like she wanted to stand up for Irene Lynch.

Irene Lynch felt even more embarra**ed. “Well… Yes…”

“We’ll find out what happened just by looking at the surveillance footage,” said Grace as she glanced around. Sure enough, she found the surveillance camera. “If anyone has wronged my friend, I’ll sue for slander and defamation as per the laws.”

Irene Lynch almost crushed her teeth. No matter how slow the sales a**istant and manager were, they could see that her attitude toward Grace was different.

It was almost like she was afraid of offending Grace.

Just then, three men walked into the shop. One of them was Terrence. Terrence rushed over to Grace and respectfully gave her an infinite card. “Young Madam, Young master Reed said you can keep this card with you. You can use this card to buy anything you want. There’s no limit, and you don’t need to report to Young master Reed.”

Grace took the card. She did not expect Terrence to deliver the card here. Before she tried on the gown, she had received a phone call from Jason and mentioned that she would be shopping for a gown.

She had asked Jason if there was a way to transfer money or buy it on credit because of the gown’s high price point.

She did not expect him to ask Terrence to deliver her a card, and it all happened so soon too!

“Miss Lynch, since you were the one who spilled water on yourself, aren’t you going to apologize for making people misunderstand that my friend splashed water on you?” asked Grace.

Irene Lynch looked surprised and asked almost subconsciously, “Apologize?”

“What’s the matter? Shouldn’t you?” Grace asked coldly.

Irene Lynch’s face could not help reddening. She thought she was special ever since her daughter became the adopted daughter of the Reed family. Besides, even those socialites and wealthy women fawned over her. Since when did she have to apologize to others? She even had to apologize to an ordinary person. Was it just because she was Grace’s friend?

It would be humiliating for her to apologize, especially with all these people watching.

“Miss Lynch, since Young Madam is asking you to apologize, I think you’d better apologize. You’ll still have to apologize when Young master Reed hears about this,” Terrence said out loud.

At night, Grace went back to the bedroom after putting the two little ones to sleep. She began to search for news regarding Hadwin Stephenson on her phone.

Although her daughter’s single bedroom was already furnished, Jay liked to sleep with Mick these days.

At night, she would lay on Mick Reed’s bed and ask her brother to tell her a story when it was time to go to sleep.

Grace did not know whether to laugh or cry at that.
