I couldn’t sleep after what happened tonight.

“Alexander?” Scarlett said, opening her eyes and frowning when she saw me still awake as she lay in my arms.
“Are you okay Neonata?” I asked, looking down at her. She raised herself gently and looked me in the eye, frowning in confusion.
“Why are you awake?”
“I’m just thinking, baby” I whispered to her and raising herself, she frowned as she waited for me to explain what I had in mind “it’s nothing to worry about, I just couldn’t get any shut eye”
“Do you want to talk about it?” She asked, looking up at me. I sighed and tightened my arm around her as I k*issed the crown of her head. Her eyes met mine and I smiled at her.
“Are we ever going to be able to be a real couple? You know, a couple that loves one another without…”
“Alexander, my love, our love for each other grows with each day, you know that, right?” Scarlett asked, stopping me. I smiled at her, and shook my head.
“That is not what I meant, Neonata” I said, stopping her. She shook her head in question, and sighing, I sat up and pulled her to sit with me “you know, the number of gaps that we have, the arguments over things that have happened in the past. The anger that we have bottled in, the fights…”
“Do you not think that these fights are making us who we are today?” She asked, stopping me “both in love, somewhat getting along, understanding one another, a couple who can look one another in the eye and say, yes, we are more than willing to fight to protect one another?”
“But in turn, we also keep eating one another alive. Scarlett, the two of us have gotten into more arguments over the past few weeks than…”
“Alexander, are getting to know one another all over again. The two of us have had a gap that is bigger than it ever was, and you do know what it has done to us. Yes, we have argued, and we still will argue. But we will also get out of those arguments. The two of us would sleep in one another’s arms, and we would fall in love all over again” she said, looking me in the eye “the two of us are just failing to realize that we are not the same kids that we once were. The two of us have been put in situations that are somewhat toxic, I understand that, but that doesn’t mean that we’re not trying to fix and accept that”
“That is the thing, Scar, I don’t think that we are. We just keep opening up a past that does not seem to want to escape us. The two of us are just fighting, fighting, and fighting. We can’t even go out on a normal date like a couple would, we…”
“I am not Delilah, Alexander, and I think that you tend to fail realizing that” now, if I ever thought that my world was just shaken before, then I don’t know what I just experienced. However, her words hit me h*arder than a brick on the head “I can’t be that perfect Luna who knows what to say and when to say it. I am not as trained as she is, and I might never be. But I know one thing, I am more in love with you than she ever will be, and I know you more than she ever will. Why? Because I fell in love with you when the two of us were far away from thinking that we could be mates. My eyes were fixed on hers as I lost every single English word that I ever had in my mental dictionary. And cupping her cheeks, I connected my l*ips with hers, my b*ody feeling like fire as I k*issed her as if my life depended on it. My mate, a beauty, an angel, and my princess.
She was my world.
My life.
My soul.
My happiness.
And the reason of my soul still being in my b*ody.
“I don’t know what to tell you to respond to what you just said, Scarlett” I said, pulling away from the k*iss, resting my forehead against hers “but you are my sun, my moon, and sky. You are the light of my day, and the beautiful moon in the darkest of nights. You are my star, and my house’s light. You are my beautiful fire. That spark that fills my insides, and with each passing day, I don’t even know how I was alive without you being around me. But I pray, and I will forever pray, until my past day, that I do not live through a day where you are not beside me, because I know for fact that I would never be able to live through that.”
After today, and after her words, I knew that I would never be able to live without her.
