The stage was alive with her presence, and no one could tear their eyes away.

Lynda was so engrossed in the performance that she lost track of time. It wasn’t until Isabella finished and bowed deeply that the audience, too, snapped out of their trance. A moment of stunned silence followed, then the applause began—thunderous and unrelenting.

“Which country is she from? She’s amazing!” someone in the crowd exclaimed.

“She’s from Lorpond!” a proud spectator shouted, eyes welling with emotion. In just the first round, Isabella had shifted the world’s perception of Lorpond’s dance scene.

As people posted about her stunning performance online, excitement spread rapidly. Meanwhile, Julie, still backstage, was frozen in place. She hadn’t expected this outcome. Despite the roar of applause, she stood rigid, a flicker of humiliation in her eyes as she realized she had underestimated Isabella.

Julie stood in disbelief as she murmured, “Isabella… How is it possible for her to be so flawless in her performance?”

Beside her, Bill’s expression was serious as he admitted, “We misjudged them this time.”

Julie, trying to hold onto her confidence, responded, “It doesn’t matter. We still have Anna.”

Anna, the quiet but formidable competitor, was busy practicing during Julie’s performance. She was a dedicated dance prodigy, devoting every spare moment to perfecting her routine. In Julie’s eyes, no matter how well Isabella performed, Anna would easily outshine her.

Soon enough, Anna took the stage. Her performance was nothing short of mesmerizing, brimming with energy and technical skill. The audience applauded enthusiastically, but both Julie and Bill felt uneasy. The applause, though loud, didn’t match the electrifying reception Isabella had received earlier.

Julie turned to Bill with concern. “Do you think Isabella will claim the top spot?”

Bill, maintaining his composure, reassured her, “Don’t worry. Anna performed later in the day when the audience was more tired. That’s why their response wasn’t as lively.”

Julie, though reassured by Bill’s words, couldn’t shake the flicker of nervousness in her eyes. Mafelen dancers had dominated for so long that losing their grip on the top spot seemed unimaginable.

An hour later, the results of the first round were announced. Lynda and her group gathered anxiously around the screen, and when they saw the results, they were stunned.

Rosaline’s eyes filled with tears of joy as she exclaimed, “We all made it to the second round!”

Gerard, equally thrilled, turned to Isabella, gratitude evident in his voice. “Bella, I owe you a huge thank you. I always get so nervous, but your advice really helped me keep it together. Let me take you out to dinner to celebrate!”

Isabella smiled warmly, “There’s no need for that. We’re all friends, and we support each other.”

Lynda was beaming with pride. For the first time in years, Lorpond was making great strides in the competition. “Let me treat everyone to dinner!” she said enthusiastically.

Before they could agree, Isabella interrupted, her gaze drifting toward the entrance. “I don’t think we’ll need to treat ourselves.”

Everyone turned to follow her gaze and saw a familiar, tall figure approaching. It was Andrew.

Lynda’s eyes widened in surprise, but she smiled warmly at his arrival. Without much delay, they found themselves settling into Andrew’s luxury car.

Rosaline and Gerard, unfamiliar with Andrew’s stature, sat quietly in awe. His commanding presence left them both feeling they were in the company of someone important.

The car pulled up to an opulent hotel, and they made their way inside. As fate would have it, they encountered a familiar group of people waiting at the elevator: Anna, Julie, and a few others from Mafelen.

Julie raised an eyebrow at the sight of them and sneered, “So you’re here too. Do you have any idea how expensive the food is here?”

Anna, usually aloof, was uncharacteristically captivated by the sight of Andrew. She had met many handsome men, but none had ever made her heart race like this. Despite her usual indifference, she took the initiative to speak up. “Since this is your first time here, you may not know, but the meals here cost over ten thousand dollars per person. You also need to make reservations well in advance. Since fate has brought us together, why not join us?”

Julie was stunned by Anna’s unexpected offer. Normally, Anna would never extend such generosity, especially to those she deemed beneath her. Still, Julie quickly assumed this was a ploy to embarrass Isabella and her group.

Feigning kindness, Julie smiled smugly. “Since Anna is offering, we’ll allow you to join us.”

Isabella’s expression didn’t change. She simply replied, “Who said we’re joining you? Are you all so confident in your assumptions?”

Rosaline, unable to contain herself, added sharply, “Just get lost!”

Julie’s smirk faded into a scowl. “Without a reservation, you won’t even be let in.”

“We don’t need your help,” Rosaline retorted, standing her ground.

As the elevator doors opened, both groups stepped inside. The tension was thick as they rode up to the penthouse restaurant.

Upon arrival, Julie and her group, having secured a reservation, were greeted by the waiter and escorted to their table. Julie glanced back at Isabella with a smug grin. “Make sure they don’t get in,” she whispered to the waiter. “We wouldn’t want them to ruin our evening.”

However, as Isabella approached the ma?tre d’, the staff member’s eyes widened in recognition. He immediately greeted her and Andrew with great respect. “Mr. Klein, Miss Patton, your table is ready.”

Julie’s face paled in disbelief as she realized that Isabella and her group weren’t just getting into the restaurant—they had been given the best table in the house.

The restaurant manager, who usually carried herself with an air of superiority, was beaming as she eagerly approached Andrew and his group. Julie, feeling triumphant, assumed that the manager was about to ask them to leave, imagining the embarrassment this would cause. If word got out, it would surely spread online, cementing the humiliation of the Lorpond group.

Anna, glancing at Andrew, spoke up softly, “Would you like to join us for dinner?”

But Andrew didn’t even acknowledge her. This was the first time Anna had been ignored so blatantly, and a brief sting of rejection flashed across her face. However, she quickly regained her composure, determined to assist him if any trouble arose.

“Mr. Klein, welcome! We’re so happy to have you!” the restaurant manager said, her tone warm and respectful, completely different from her usual demeanor.

“Let’s go,” Andrew said to his group, and Rosaline shot Julie a victorious smirk as they followed him into the restaurant.

The manager led them to a prime table by the window, offering a stunning view of the city. “This is our best table, reserved just for you.”

“Thank you. You can return to your duties,” Andrew said as he passed around the menus. “Order whatever you like.”

Rosaline, barely able to contain her excitement, eagerly flipped through the menu. “I’ve been dying to try this! Thank you, Andrew.”

“You’re welcome.” Andrew’s attention then shifted to Isabella. His usually cool demeanor softened as he asked, “Everything alright?”

“Yes, everything’s great,” Isabella replied with a warm smile.

Julie and her group, watching from the doorway, were left speechless. The window table was known for requiring a steep reservation fee of two hundred thousand dollars. While Julie and her friends were well-off, such a lavish amount for dinner was beyond them. How had Isabella and her group managed to secure the most exclusive table?

Julie frowned and whispered, “Who is that man with Isabella? He seems wealthy.”

“Probably a businessman from Lorpond,” Bill replied dismissively. “Let’s just focus on our meal.”

The group took their seats, but Anna couldn’t keep her eyes off Andrew. She hadn’t realized just how wealthy and handsome he truly was. To her, he embodied the ideal partner—both powerful and captivating.

Throughout the dinner, Anna tried to catch Andrew’s attention, subtly adjusting her posture and sending glances his way. But Andrew remained focused on his meal, his demeanor composed, and it was clear to everyone that his bond with Isabella was strong.

When Andrew eventually excused himself from the table, Anna saw her opportunity and quickly followed him.

She found him in a quiet corner, speaking in a language she didn’t recognize, which only heightened her curiosity. His aura of mystery intrigued her, and she was determined to get closer.

When Andrew finished his call, he turned and spoke, his voice cold. “Come out.”

Anna was startled but quickly composed herself, stepping forward. “Hello, I’m Anna Murray,” she said, extending her hand with a charming smile, confident that no man could resist her.

Andrew, however, looked at her with icy indifference. “It doesn’t matter who you are. Why are you following me?”

Anna’s smile wavered, but she quickly recovered, tucking her hair behind her ear in a shy gesture. “I’m interested in you and thought we could get to know each other.”

“I’m already engaged,” Andrew said, his tone softening slightly when he mentioned Isabella.

Anna’s heart sank. For the first time in her life, she felt jealousy—a strange sensation for someone who had always been the one envied. She couldn’t believe that Isabella, of all people, had something she desired.

Undeterred, Anna decided to push forward. “Could we at least exchange numbers?”

“No,” Andrew replied firmly, his voice cold once again.

Anna felt a sharp sting of rejection, but she wasn’t ready to back down just yet. She bit her lip and pressed on, “It’s just a phone number. Surely, Isabella wouldn’t mind, would she?”

“I’m sorry. I do mind,” came a cold, clear voice from behind.

Anna froze and turned around, only to find Isabella standing there, her gaze sharp and unwavering. Though Isabella hadn’t raised her voice, the warning in her eyes was unmistakable.

It was Anna’s first time trying to get someone’s number, and of all the unlucky moments, the guy’s girlfriend caught her in the act. Unease surged through her.

“Have I been here too long? Maybe we should head back.”
