Mr. Sweeney and Mrs. Sweeney looked at each other. After many years of marriage, they could understand each other’s thoughts.

Mr. Sweeney cleared his throat and finally took a step back, saying, “If you can resolve all the conflicts in the Stephenson family, then we’ll give your marriage our blessings.”

After all, parents always wanted their children to be happy.

Lina was delighted. ‘Have my parents relented?’

Hadwin Stephenson was also relieved. After all, they were Lina’s parents and the most important people to Lina. He also hoped they would give their blessings to his and Lina’s marriage.

He turned around and looked at the smile on Lina’s face. He secretly made up his mind that he must put an end to the Stephenson family’s affairs as soon as possible to give Lina a better and safer future!

Grace visited Nelson first when she came to the hospital to see Brian. Nelson was in good condition and should be able to discharge in two days!

Coincidentally, Nelson and Brian were hospitalized at the same hospital.

However, Nelson was in the regular children’s ward while Brian was in the VIP ward.

Nelson was happy to see Grace. Grace had bought some fruits for Nelson, so she cut some dragon fruit and fed the pieces to the little one.

Once Nelson had eaten enough, Grace wiped the little one’s mouth and hands. Then, she took out a new storybook she had bought for him.

The little one was only four years old, but he already knew a lot of words. He could even read certain storybooks by himself.

While Nelson read, Grace asked Kyla Corbyn in a whisper, “Kyla, what’s the matter? You don’t look so good.” She noticed that Kyla’s mind had been wandering since she entered the ward.

“Nothing,” Kyla Corbyn said with a slightly awkward expression.

“If you have any difficulties, tell me. Even though I may not be able to help much, I can always help a little,” said Grace.

“You’ve helped me a lot already,” said Kyla Corbyn, but the custody case was like a boulder pressing on her heart, making her breathless.

Grace was willing to represent her for free, but… she had been. hesitating whether she wanted to go ahead with the lawsuit.

She had little chance of winning the lawsuit, and once it started, she would have to worry about how much it would burt Nelson if the media published her time in prison all over the news.

Just as Grace was about to leave, she met Chase Harper who had also come to see Nelson.

“He-Hello!” greeted Chase Harper. “I found some time to visit Nelson once I learned about his hospitalization,” said Chase

Harper.

Although he got to know Nelson through Grace, they kept in touch because he liked Nelson. Sometimes, he would call Kyla

Corbyn’s phone number and talk to Nelson, and sometimes, he would visit the little one with some toys.

He had wanted to visit the little one when he heard that he was hospitalized.

“How… have you been?” Chase Harper asked shyly.

“I’m okay,” Grace said with a faint smile.

“Well…” Chase Harper hesitated for a moment before finally saying, “As long as you’re okay.”

“I have a friend who’s hospitalized here, and I have to visit him. I must go now,” said Grace.

“Oh, okay,” answered Chase Harper. Then, he leaned a little awkwardly to let Grace through.

As Grace walked toward the elevator in the corridor, Chase Harper was still staring blankly at her thin figure.

He did not know which man Grace had ended up choosing, Jason or Brian. He dared not ask, and there was no need for him to ask either. After all, she would be happy no matter who she chose between the two men.

He was nothing compared to those two men!

However… his heart still could not let her go. Even after knowing that she and he did not have any possibility to get together, he still could not let those feelings go easily.

Grace came to Brian’s ward, only this time she saw not only

Stella but also Brian’s parents.

“What are you doing here?” Madam Hart immediately pulled a long face and looked at Grace disapprovingly.

“I’m here to visit… Mr. Hart,” Grace said flatly. She was carrying a bag of fruits in her hand. “I bought some fruits, but I don’t know if Mr. Hart likes them. I’ll leave after putting them down.”

She could naturally see that Brian’s parents did not welcome her. After all, who would like a woman who had nearly killed their precious son?

Madam Hart said angrily, “No thanks, we don’t need your fruits. If it hadn’t been for you, Brian wouldn’t be suffering from these injuries!”

Brian said, “Mom! I got hurt because of the choice I made. No one forced me to do it. If you really care about me, don’t treat Grace this way!”

“You…” Madam Hart turned to glare at her son.

“To me, there are two women in my life who are most important to me. One is you, and the other is Grace!” Brian said bluntly.

“What are you talking about? Did you forget she and Jason-”

“That’s all in the past!” Brian interrupted his mother and said, “Mom, I beg you. Please stop talking about it!”

He was afraid that every word she said would only cut Grace’s heart and separate him even more from her.

He had finally managed to approach her after taking things. step by step! He did not want to lose the possibility he had tried so hard to gain because of something like this.

Madam Hart looked at her son’s pleading face and gasped. “Are you…?” However, the words were stuck in her throat, and she could not go on.

Her son’s eyes and expression told her how much he cared ~bout that woman Grace!

Madam Hart was shocked. When had Brian ever begged for a woman like this? He even said he would make an enemy of the Reed family for Grace!

“Alright, let’s go home first.” Mr. Hart pulled Madam Hart, giving each other an out.

However, before they left, Mr. Hart looked intently at Grace.

Stella, who had been regarded as an invisible person this whole time, spoke reluctantly, “Brian, Aunt was just worried about you. Why would you break her heart like that?”

Brian glanced faintly at Stella. However, the glance sent shivers down Stella’s spine.

The glance was like a warning for her not to say another word, or he might just have a falling out with her.

Stella clenched her teeth, looking embarra**ed.

“Stella, why don’t you go home? I have the nurses here, so I don’t need you to take care of me,” said Brian.

However, Stella was reluctant. “I have nothing to do anyway. I’ll just stay in the hospital.” It seemed to her that this was the time for her to perform.

“There’s no need for that.” Brian refused again.

Stella only felt like his words were a loud slap in her face, but she could not lose her temper.

“Then… I’ll go home first,” said Stella before walking out of the ward.

Brian and Grace were the only two left in the ward.
