At the beginning of the call, he was worried that Lina might misunderstand something, but now, it sounded like no big deal.
“Shall I come and get you?” he asked.
“I’m going to Grace’s place later. I’ll come see you if I have time after meeting Grace.” Lina was a good example of putting friendship first and love second.
Hadwin Stephenson could only accept it. Fortunately, only
Grace received such treatment among Lina’s friends. Otherwise, Hadwin Stephenson would be further distressed if there were a few more!
When Lina came to Grace’s rental house, she saw Grace eating dinner and said, “Nice. Here’s another dish for you.”
With that, she put the roast duck she had bought on the small dining table and said, “Is there any rice left? Give me a bowl.”
“You haven’t had dinner?” asked Grace. After all, she had dinner a little late today and did not expect someone to not have had their dinner yet.
“I could’ve come earlier, but something held me up,” said Lina as she took the rice from her best friend and dug in.
Grace had only made a tomato omelet and a bowl of seaweed soup. Adding Lina’s roast duck made the dinner a lot more varied.
As they ate together, Lina asked, “Where did Jason take you? Do you know how worried I was these days?” It was inconvenient to ask about some things on the phone yesterday, so she just asked her face to face today.
Grace made no secret of it, telling Lina about the old mansion and how she had stayed there these days.
Jason just locked you up there? He didn’t… Uh… Do anything bad to you?” Lina asked gingerly.
‘No’ said Grace.
Lina was relieved. “Then he’s still a gentleman after all.”
Lina seemed to think of something and said, ‘By the way, what did you mean when you said you have nothing to do with
Jason anymore? You-
“Like I said, he’s he and I’m me. Even the brother and sister game is over now. He and I are really just strangers,” Grace said calmly.
However, Lina was worried about her calmness.
She did not like Jason. She just thought that Jason had hurt Grace too much, but. Once she knew that Jason and Grace had really become strangers, she had a sour feeling in her hear.
Lina more or less thought that maybe Jason and her best friend still had a chance.
“Joson’s not the only man in this world. You’ll find someone better.” Lina encouraged her best friend.
Grace smiled faintly and did not contradict her best friend’s kindness. She knew Lina was worried about her future and that she would end up alone.
However, even if she were to die alone, the idea did not sound that terrible to her. After all, it would be nice to have solitude and not be involved in those complicated relationships.
She would not get hurt and feel pain anymore if she did not love.
“By the way, what’s going on between you and Brian?” Lina thought of this. She remembered how he had still tried to find out Grace’s whereabouts after he broke his hand. Lina only felt that her best friend occupied an unusual position in the heart of the entertainment industry’s crown prince.
Grace did not keep it a secret and told Lina about her matter with Brian.
Lina was the last person in the world she would keep a secret from. She could even give Lina her life!
Lina was shocked when she heard this. “So that Stella, who trended online several times, is just an impostor who took your place as Brian’s savior when he was little?”
Grace said, “That’s one way to put it. I didn’t think Stella would take my place either. However, I was with Jason and didn’t want to get involved with Brian, so I didn’t say anything about it.”
“Now that you’re no longer with Jason, why won’t you tell him?”
Lina asked in confusion.
Grace gave a wry smile. “I… don’t want to owe Brian any more favors.”
She and Brian had evened the debt. She saved his life once, and he saved her life once.
However, the debt of love was the most difficult to pay off.
Since she did not love Brian, if she told him that she was the one who saved him when he was a child, he would probably be even more reluctant to let her go.
Instead of telling him the truth, it was better to continue to keep it as it was. Perhaps his feelings would fade a little when he did not get her response after some time.

Grace accidentally caught a glimpse and said, “Alright, Hadwin Stephenson is waiting for you. Go to his place first. Let’s get together again sometime.”
“Alright then. Remember to call me if you need anything. Don’t suffer on your own,” Lina said a little worriedly.
“Okay, got it!” Grace smiled. Only when she was with Lina could she relax and show her true self.
She knew that Lina would stand by her no matter what.
When Lina left Grace’s place, her heart suddenly became a little heavy. She did not know whether this was good for
Grace.
She broke up with Jason only to be faced with Brian now.
However, Grace did not love Brian and did not want to accept him.

Lina said, “Let’s just say we’re both lucky. By the way, were you on the phone with the Stephenson family’s first wife just now?”
“Yes,” he replied.
“Was the conversation unpleasant?” she asked curiously.

The plot twist of this story is very interesting. I just hope Brian will respect Grace feelings and Jason will keep his words when he said he will believe her then he should show that he believe Grace so that she can trust him again. The more he show how obsessed and domineering he is the more he push Grace away. Honestly it’s a bit hurt tho to see Grace and Jason part ways since they belong to each other. I want to know about Kyla and Martin case too I hope Kyla will clear her name and Paisley will got what she sow.. Please update the chapters more and sooner too…. Thankyou

Let Grace and Brian have a happy ending though it is like impossible because Jason and Grace have feelings for each other. I will not like it if they come together without him letting her know the role he played in her imprisonment and stay in the prison.
Twists will never end in this novel and each is so intriguing. Lina and her love rival. The first wife of the Stephenson family can never arrange for a good wife for Hardwin. She wants a woman she can use to get the patriarch position back for her son. I hope Hardwin will resist her vehemently.
