Flossie listened in silence without saying a word. Deep down, there was no way that she’d believe in Jemma. But, she had her own plans and own method of protecting Herman.

Amongst the chatter of the reporters and under the lens of multiple cameras, Jemma approached the stage accompanied by her manager.

“Let’s get started,” her manager encouraged. They had already prepared a speech, so all she had to do was read it. On the surface, it didn’t appear to be a difficult task.
Jemma turned and looked at her manager before turning back to face the media, “I know you have all been interested in the scandal bet**en Lafayette and I. I never expected the situation to be escalated to this extent.”
“I’m standing in front of all of you today to prove Lafayette’s innocence.”
Hearing this, Jemma’s manager and Flossie both let out a sigh of relief. However, it only lasted a second before their exp**ssions were changed by the next words that came out of Jemma’s mouth…

“But, Kaleidoscope has released a statement detailing your relationship,” the reporter directly used Kaleidoscope’s statement to slap Jemma in the face.
“The agency misunderstood. It was Lafayette’s one-sided feelings, but I never reciprocated. I know that he is really nice to me, but I’m sorry, I already have a fiance. So, I’d like to take this opportunity to remind Lafayette to watch his conduct.”

Afterwards, Flossie strode towards the stage, snatched the microphone from Jemma’s hands and faced the media, “None of her words are the truth…”
“You are Lafayette’s manager, so of course, you’d be on his side…”
“The truth is, while she was dating Lafayette, she was still in a relationship with another man. But, Lafayette had no idea from the beginning and was deceived by her,” Flossie announced loudly. “It’s bad enough that you got discovered for lying and decided to throw the blame on Lafayette. You’ve even decided to sacrifice him to protect yourself. I’ve seen cheap tricks before, but I’ve never seen someone as cheap as you…”
