The blonde girl hadn’t anticipated that this “insatiable” woman would actually involve the police. To her dismay, their Ferrari was temporarily detained as part of the process.

Still unwilling to back down, she said, “I know your kind. Is the compensation not enough for you? I’ll give you double.” She signaled Nathan to hand over more cash, but Isabella didn’t even glance at it.

Her voice was calm yet resolute. “I said, I want you to apologize first.”

Everyone felt the weight of the atmosphere around them, and the tension in the air was almost palpable.

The traffic police wanted to resolve the situation quickly. One of them said to the blonde woman, “Miss, an apology for a rear-end collision is a reasonable request. Since you are at fault, you should apologize. Then, you can discuss compensation. After that, you can go ahead with your business.”

However, the blonde woman narrowed her eyes at the traffic officer. Clearly, she wasn’t prepared to compromise.

She took out an even thicker stack of money from her bag and waved it in the air, smirking condescendingly. “Still not satisfied?”

The woman’s inherent disdain for others was fully evident in that moment.

Isabella looked at her coldly. “Do you think I’m short of money? It’s just an apology. What do you think of yourself? Do you consider yourself too noble to apologize?”

Isabella observed the woman closely and could tell that she held some remarkable status.

But they were in Lorpond, and everything here had to be done according to rules and order.

Isabella wasn’t afraid to offend anyone. If the woman and her companion didn’t apologize today, they wouldn’t be able to leave.

Isabella’s unwavering stance caused the woman and her companion’s expressions to darken, a mixture of indignation and discomfort spreading across their faces.

The woman was about to act when Nathan’s phone rang.

A trace of unease flickered across his face when he saw the name flashing on the screen. Without a word, he pressed the answer button and carefully placed the phone near the woman’s ear.

“Miss Vettel, where are you? Why haven’t you arrived at the hotel yet? Did something happen? Remember what I told you. As much as possible, try to avoid any troubles. We have important matters to attend to in Lorpond.”

After listening to the person on the other end of the line, Ailyn immediately replied, “I understand. I’ll be there soon.”

After hanging up, Ailyn turned to leave. However, the traffic police and Isabella blocked her way, forcing her to stop. Observing Ailyn, Isabella could tell that she was in a hurry to leave, but she stayed patient, not rushing her.

Ailyn’s eyes narrowed. This was the first time she had been provoked by an ordinary person.

Her elders were waiting for her, and she needed to leave.

Ailyn’s jaw tightened, her eyes flashing with anger. The two stood in a stalemate for a few seconds before Ailyn finally relented. She had no choice but to apologize to Isabella.

However, her tone remained unfriendly.

“Fine! I apologize. And here’s your compensation.”

Isabella stopped. She had already enjoyed watching the unpleasant expressions of the two.

She took the money, waved it in the air, and then drove away. Ailyn could only stand there, watching Isabella’s car drive farther and farther away, suppressing her anger.

Turning to Nathan, Ailyn said, “Find out which family that lowly person belongs to.”

Nathan nodded. “Okay, Miss Vettel.”

Once Isabella had vented her anger, she put Ailyn out of her mind. She drove to Patton Group and contacted the insurance company to have her car towed away.

Meanwhile, Ailyn and Nathan finally arrived at the hotel suite where the elders were waiting.

When the elders learned that Ailyn had been involved in a road accident, they were concerned.

Ailyn still wore a cold expression as she said, “I’m fine, but the car was damaged.”

The elders breathed a sigh of relief but then became anxious again.

“We told everyone we came to Lorpond to work with a local fashion brand. But our main goal is to find Dr. Mia quickly. The condition of our family head is worsening day by day. Miss Vettel, for your father’s sake, you must find Dr. Mia. Dr. Mia was last seen in Lorpond, so there’s a strong possibility she’s still here.”

Ailyn’s expression softened slightly at the mention of her father. She nodded solemnly.

“Uncle, don’t worry. The company I’m collaborating with, Global Entertainment, is the largest in Lorpond. They must have information on Dr. Mia.”

Ailyn didn’t waste any more time. After taking a short rest, she asked Nathan to message the person in charge of receiving her at Global Entertainment.

As soon as Tatiana learned that Ailyn had arrived at the hotel, she immediately arranged a meeting, eager to discuss the collaboration in person.

Ailyn and Tatiana met for dinner at a restaurant. During their meal, Tatiana presented her proposal. However, Ailyn appeared unimpressed by the idea of combining fashion design with Lorpond culture.

For Ailyn, fashion was about staying trendy. It had to be fresh, evolving, and ahead of the curve.

She recalled the woman she had argued with earlier that day, who had been wearing a dress with elements of Lorpond culture. It didn’t suit her taste at all—far from it. “Miss Vettel, since you’ve agreed to collaborate with us, you must understand the creative direction we’re aiming for,” Tatiana said.

Ailyn wanted to say, “Not really,” but she kept it to herself.

In truth, she looked down on everything in this place. She wouldn’t have come if it weren’t for Dr. Mia.

Still, she said, “I understand. Don’t worry. I’ll complete the design within three days.”

Tatiana’s face lit up, her eyes gleaming with excitement. After having a couple of drinks, Ailyn finally got to the point of her visit.

“Miss Fernandez, since arriving in Lorpond, I’ve been consciously learning about the ancient culture here. I heard there’s a miraculous medical technique that doesn’t rely on modern instruments, one that’s capable of curing people. They say the person who excels in this technique is Dr. Mia. I want to meet her, Miss Fernandez. Can you help me? I hope you can introduce her to me.”

Ailyn was not only the darling of the design world and a fashion icon, but she also represented the noble forces of Mafelen behind her.

Countless people wanted to get close to Ailyn, but she never gave them the chance.

Now, Tatiana felt fortunate that this opportunity seemed to have finally come her way. She had been planning to expand Global Entertainment, and if she could establish a connection with the Mafelen aristocracy, the prospects for the future would undoubtedly be significant. Her thoughts drifted to Dr. Mia.

To be honest, Dr. Mia was an enigma. Despite Global Entertainment’s vast network and access to information, very little was known about her. Introducing her to Ailyn would be even more challenging.

Yet, Tatiana didn’t want to let this opportunity slip through her fingers. Besides, if she couldn’t uncover much, it was unlikely that anyone else would know more.

As Tatiana reflected on some gossip she’d overheard, a glimmer of intrigue sparkled in her eyes.

“Miss Vettel, there are some things you might not be aware of. Dr. Mia is particularly known for her low profile—so much so that no one in Ansport even knows what she looks like.”

Ailyn’s eyebrows twitched slightly in surprise.

“No one knows what Dr. Mia looks like?” Ailyn asked, a wave of unease sweeping over her. If Tatiana couldn’t facilitate a meeting with Dr. Mia, her father’s illness…

“That’s correct,” Tatiana replied.

Being several years older than Ailyn, she could see that Ailyn completely believed her words. She shook her head lightly and added, “But if you’re truly determined, there’s a way you can meet her.”

Ailyn’s eyes narrowed as she studied Tatiana.

“Miss Fernandez, please tell me. If I manage to meet her, I’ll make sure you’re generously rewarded,” she said firmly.

Tatiana waved dismissively. “Miss Vettel, you’re too polite. I’m only sharing this with you because I can see your interest in her is genuine. Not long ago, Mr. Damari Klein was critically ill—on the verge of death. But he miraculously recovered, and it’s rumored that Dr. Mia was the one who intervened. However, after his recovery, any trace of information about Dr. Mia was meticulously wiped out. If you’re serious about meeting her, you might want to visit the Klein family’s estate. They’re probably the only ones who can still get in touch with her.”

“I see,” Ailyn replied, her mind already racing with the possibilities.

After her meal with Tatiana, Ailyn returned to her hotel and shared what she had learned with the elders accompanying her. After a thorough discussion, they reached a decision.

“We will investigate this matter and, at the same time, arrange a meeting with the current CEO of the Klein Group. He may truly have connections with Dr. Mia,” one of the elders said. Turning to Ailyn, he continued, “Ailyn, it’s crucial that our presence in Lorpond remains discreet. Over the next few days, focus on interacting with your business partners to divert any attention. We’ll notify you immediately if there’s any news.”

“Okay,” Ailyn responded.

With that, the brief meeting concluded, and Ailyn returned to her suite, accompanied by Nathan.

Nathan, ever meticulous, served her a cup of coffee and asked respectfully, “Miss Vettel, do you have any plans next?”
