Bryan hung up the phone and called Lily’s number.

In a few minutes, Lily came to his cabin. She walked to his desk with a cup of coffee.

“Sorry for being late, Alpha. I was making coffee for you.”

When she put the coffee on the desk, Bryan glanced at it. It reminded him of Sophia’s coffee.

Though he told Sophia that she could not make coffee properly, he really liked her coffee that she made for him for the third time. That was why he asked for it the next day too. It was just he did not want to let her know about it.

“Alpha?”

Bryan heard Lily’s voice which made him turn his head toward her.

“Miss Lily,”

She caught off guard when she heard Bryan calling her formally. He never called her ‘Miss’.

“Yes?”

Bryan looked at her nervous look and asked,

“I wanted to know what had happened that day.”

“W-Which day?”

“The day when you heard Miss Sohia talking with Alpha Oliver. You said you heard her talking with him about the project and congratulating him about it.”

“Yeah.”

“I want to know the whole conversation.”

Lily’s brows shot up. At that time, Bryan’s phone rang as he got an email from Delta Noble.

He checked on it while waiting for Lily to speak.

When he looked at the email which had the information of the transaction ID, Bryan’s eyes darkened.

He lifted his gaze and looked at Lily.

Lily thought he was mad at her because she was making him wait so she spoke out.

“I-I heard her saying that she helped him for m-money.”

“Money? How much?” Bryan asked, gritting teeth.

“I-I don’t know th-“

“One million?” Bryan asked.

Lily’s eyes widened when she heard him.

Bryan stood up from his chair and walked to her.

She took a step back in fear.

“A-Alpha, I-“

Bryan did not let her complete as he grabbed her by her neck.

His eyes turned red as he growled loudly.

“How dare you deceive me and put all the blame on her?”

It was the weekend, and Sophia was ready to go out. She was upset and heartbroken.

She could not tell her mother about losing her job. To avoid her mother’s inquiry, she remained in her university’s library till the evening.

She did not lie to her friends, and she told them everything that had happened in the company.

Bryan’s actions had also upset them. They said at least Bryan should have believed in her.

“Sophia.”

She heard her mother calling her from downstairs. She went out of her room and noticed that Sara had come to her house. She was talking to her mother.

“Sara?”

Sophia went downstairs and walked to them.

“You didn’t tell me that you were going out today,” Hanna, Sophia’s mother, said to her.

Sophia glanced at Sara, who looked at her with pleading eyes.

Sara and Nolan had been trying to persuade her to go out with them since she had agreed to hang out earlier. But later, Sophia’s mood was not okay, so she did not want to go anywhere.

Now Sara came to take her directly from her house so that she could not say no to her.

“I didn’t want to go, Mom,” Sophia mumbled, lowering her head.

She was sad because of what had happened to her. It was her fortune that Troy had become her friend, so he did not inform her mother anything about it.

“Sophia, my dear. You work so hard. It would be best if you went out with friends on the weekend. It will refresh your mind,” Hanna said as she caressed her daughter’s hair.

Sophia was quiet for some time. She glanced at Sara, who looked upset.

Sophia did not want to break her heart, so she nodded her head and replied, “Okay.”

Sara happily hugged Hanna and thanked her for making Sophia agree to go out with her.

Hanna told Sara that she would have to drop Sophia off before late at night, which Sara was in accord with.

Sophia went to her bedroom with Sara.

Sara told her to wear something good, but Sophia said she was not in the mood.

Their conversation was interrupted when Sophia’s phone began to ring.

When Sophia received the call, she heard Troy’s delighted voice.

“Hi, Sophia. How are you?”

“I’m fine. What about you?” Sophia asked, trying to talk not in a broken voice.

“More than good. I have great news for you.”

Hearing him, Sophia arched her brows.

“What news?”

“The main culprit who betrayed us got caught. It was Lily, Alpha’s personal assistant.”

Sophia felt a burden move from her heart. She did not let out anything but only listened to him.

“I could not believe it. But she herself accepted it yesterday.”

She glanced at Sara, who was eager to know what they were talking about. So she put the phone on the loudspeaker.

“Why did Lily do that?” Sophia asked, as she knew it was Lily.

“She said Alpha Oliver approached her and offered her one million dollars to give him all the information about the project. He assured her that he would never reveal her name. So she did it out of greed.”

Sara gasped as she stared at the phone while listening to Troy.

“How did she get caught?” Sophia asked.

“You know our Alpha. He is so wise that we can’t even think about it. You won’t believe me. He asked me about checking all the employees’ bank accounts. Can you imagine? He caught the culprit by their bank account transaction. No one can think like him. He found that someone had transferred one million to Lily’s account on the day when the meeting was held. When he searched for all the information of the ID, he found that it was a bank of the Mountain Howl Pack.”

Sara and Sophia both glanced at each other. They were amazed by Bryan’s intelligence.

“He could have done that before humiliating an innocent person,” Sophia muttered in a lower tone.

Troy heard her and said,

“I am sorry for what happened to you, Sophia. But there is another piece of good news for you.”

“And what’s that?”

“Alpha told me to inform you that you can rejoin our company.”
