“Andrew,” Isabella replied, keeping her tone neutral.

Kristine’s face briefly faltered, her forced smile not quite hiding the unease she felt. “It’s… good to see you getting along so well with him.”

Her words, though polite, were loaded with a deeper meaning. Kristine’s discomfort was clear—she had always seen Andrew in a different light, one that didn’t involve him being close to Isabella.

Dane, seated nearby, perked up. “Wait, you and Andrew? Are you two close?”

Isabella shrugged, downplaying the situation. “Waylon asked him to look out for me, that’s all.”

Dane, though relieved, couldn’t shake his protective instincts. “Just be careful, Isabella. Andrew… he can be dangerous.”

Isabella raised an eyebrow, confused. “Dangerous? What do you mean?”

Before Dane could explain, Andrew’s voice cut through the room. “I didn’t realize I had such a reputation.”

Everyone turned to see Andrew standing in the doorway, his presence commanding the space. Kristine’s face lit up, momentarily forgetting her earlier discomfort.

“Andre, it’s good to see you!” Kristine said eagerly, trying to capture his attention.

But Andrew’s focus was on Isabella. He stepped forward and handed her a small, delicate diamond earring. “You dropped this earlier,” he said softly.

Isabella blinked, only just realizing her earring had been missing. “Thank you,” she murmured, taking it from him.

Andrew’s gaze lingered on her for a moment before he added gently, “You should rest. Don’t stay up too late.”

Kristine’s hopeful expression faltered as she watched the exchange, feeling like an outsider in a conversation that didn’t involve her. Her heart sank, realizing that Andrew’s attention wasn’t on her.

Once Andrew finished speaking to Isabella, his attention shifted to Dane. His eyes sharpened, his tone growing colder. “I overheard what you said earlier. Are you really warning her about me?”

Dane didn’t flinch, meeting Andrew’s piercing gaze head-on. “I’m just looking out for my sister. I can’t let her fall for someone who might not be right for her.”

Andrew’s lips curved into a slight smile, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “I understand your concern. But Isabella’s like family to me. I would never let anything happen to her.”

Dane’s jaw tightened, not liking the way Andrew claimed closeness with his sister. “Isabella already has enough brothers. She doesn’t need another.”

Andrew’s expression hardened, his voice growing colder. “Have you asked Isabella what she wants? Maybe your overprotectiveness is more of a burden than you think.”

Before Dane could respond, Isabella, feeling overwhelmed by the tension, stood abruptly. “I’m going to bed,” she muttered, heading upstairs without waiting for a reply.

Kristine, sensing an opportunity, turned to Andrew with a soft smile. “Andre, why don’t you stay for a bit? I could make you some tea.”

But the warmth Andrew had shown earlier vanished. “No, thank you,” he said curtly, his voice distant. “I’ve got other matters to attend to.”

Without another word, he left, leaving Kristine standing alone, her heart sinking as she watched him walk away. She couldn’t help but wonder why no matter how much she tried, everyone’s attention always seemed to land on Isabella.

Upstairs, Isabella stepped out of the shower, feeling exhausted from the day’s events. As she settled into bed, she couldn’t stop thinking about Andrew’s cryptic behavior. Checking her phone, she caught up on social media, but her mind kept drifting back to the unsettling tension that had unfolded downstairs.

Something had shifted between her and Andrew, and she wasn’t sure if she was ready to confront it.

The internet was buzzing with discussions about Natural Beauty and Migge Skincare. Heated debates unfolded on various platforms, with Susan’s confident statement about Natural Beauty outperforming Migge Skincare going viral. The post quickly spread, leading to mockery from many netizens who doubted her claim.

“Migge Skincare is leading in sales! How can she say Natural Beauty will outdo them?”

“I used to like Natural Beauty, but now? No way.”

“Migge Skincare is killing it! I’m waiting for Natural Beauty to shut down.”

Among the flood of criticism, a few voices defended Natural Beauty.

“I’ve used their products before, and they’re pretty good.”

“The salespeople at Natural Beauty were really kind, at least when I visited.”

But the negativity drowned out the small support. Natural Beauty’s employees, aware of the online backlash, were concerned. Susan, feeling the weight of the situation, called Isabella.

“Isabella, I’m really sorry. This is all my fault. I shouldn’t have said anything,” Susan apologized, her voice trembling.

Isabella’s calm response reassured her. “You didn’t say anything wrong, Susan. We just need time. Our products will prove themselves.”

Isabella’s optimism was unwavering, even as the tide of public opinion seemed stacked against them.

A week passed quietly.

One morning, Talia woke up and instinctively checked her reflection in the mirror. To her surprise, her skin was noticeably less red than usual. She blinked in disbelief. Her sensitive skin had always been difficult to manage, and nothing had worked long-term. Recently, she had run out of her usual skincare products and, out of desperation, decided to use the free samples from Natural Beauty that she had received. She hadn’t expected much.

Now, staring at her improved complexion, Talia was in shock. Could Natural Beauty’s products really be this effective?

To confirm her suspicions, she scheduled a skin test. The results were undeniable—her skin sensitivity had improved by 20%. The cosmetician examining her was intrigued.

“What have you been using recently?” the cosmetician asked, curious.

Talia handed her the samples from Natural Beauty, explaining, “Just these.”

The cosmetician’s expression grew serious as she examined the ingredients. “These are high-quality products,” she remarked. “The raw materials are imported and specifically beneficial for sensitive skin. Natural Beauty must be putting real effort into their formulations.”

Talia, astonished, left the clinic and immediately shared her experience in her group chat. To her surprise, other members who had also received samples from Natural Beauty reported similar results.

It sparked a ripple of doubt. Could the earlier scandal, involving a celebrity’s allergic reaction to Natural Beauty’s products, have been an isolated case?

Soon, positive feedback about Natural Beauty began to surface online. More and more people reached out to inquire about the raw materials used in the products. Natural Beauty responded swiftly, revealing that their raw materials were imported and exclusive to their brand. This transparency, combined with the growing positive reviews, ignited a surge in sales.

In just one day, Natural Beauty’s sales skyrocketed to thirty million dollars. The once-quiet store now bustled with customers eager to try the products for themselves.

The employees of Natural Beauty were overwhelmed with work. That night, Isabella didn’t leave the office until after ten o’clock. Dane had been picking her up after work regularly, determined to keep Andrew away. However, just as she stepped outside, Dane called her.

“I’m sorry, Isabella. Something urgent has come up at work, and I might not be able to drive you back tonight,” he explained.

“That’s okay, Dane. Take care of your work,” she reassured him, ready to call for a cab.

Just as she stepped out of the building, a familiar car pulled up. The distinctive license plate confirmed it—Andrew.

He opened the door for her, a calm smile on his face. “Busy day?” he asked.

Isabella, surprised, stepped inside. “Why are you here? You know Dane’s been picking me up.”

Andrew’s smile didn’t falter. “It’s been a while since we’ve had dinner together.”

Isabella couldn’t help but smile, realizing that Andrew had likely orchestrated the situation. Beneath his dignified exterior, he was indeed a master strategist. Instead of feeling annoyed, Isabella found herself smiling at the thought.

They dined at her favorite restaurant that night, the atmosphere warm and comfortable.

While Isabella enjoyed her meal, someone else wasn’t feeling as cheerful.

On the other side of town, Josie was on the phone with Kristine, gloating. “Natural Beauty hasn’t made any progress. Their sales have flatlined. With employees resigning to join us, it’s just a matter of time before the company collapses. Then everyone will realize that you, Kristine, are so much better than her.”

Kristine sighed, a hint of sadness in her voice. “Isabella is stubborn. She thinks being in a wealthy family is all about bliss. But success doesn’t come easy for people like us.”

Josie laughed. “Exactly! Let’s check their sales figures. If they haven’t even sold a thousand products, it’ll be hilarious!”

Excited, Josie quickly accessed Natural Beauty’s sales reports. Her expression shifted from smugness to disbelief as she stared at the figures.

Kristine, waiting on the line, grew curious. “Josie? Did they not sell a single product?”

After a moment of silence, Josie finally responded, her voice shaky. “Their sales hit thirty million… in a single day.”

“How can that be? Two hundred thousand sales, just this morning, they barely had anything. How did they suddenly close two hundred thousand deals?” Josie’s voice was full of disbelief as she stared at the skyrocketing sales figures. She muttered, “Could Isabella have gotten desperate and paid people to buy her products? That would be foolish.”

In her mind, that was the only explanation—Isabella must have orchestrated some underhanded scheme. Josie felt a smug satisfaction at the thought, lowering her opinion of Isabella even further. She chuckled to herself, thinking Isabella’s move was utterly ridiculous.
