Chasel thought: I’ll tolerate it for my sister!

After a while, Romeo received a phone call: “Could you repeat that?”

“Mr. McMillan, even if you kill me, you have to come over. The incident happened suddenly, you’re the only one who can handle it now!”

Since she was sitting close, Mirabella naturally heard Carl’s voice on the phone.

Romeo was initially about to blow his top, but upon catching Mirabella’s gaze, he swallowed his anger..

“Great timing.”

After hanging up, Romeo instructed the driver to make a pit stop at McMillan Corporation, then told Mirabella, “You and Chasel go home and have dinner first; don’t wait for me. I’ll come over as soon as I’ve handled everything.”

“Alright, be nice.”

“Don’t worry.”

Since Mirabella asked him to, he reluctantly agreed not to lose his temper at anyone.

Finally, only the driver, Chasel, and Mirabella were left in the car.

Chasel was delighted to have his sister’s company all to himself. David had warned him before that Romeo would constantly monopolize his sister’s time, and having alone time with her was harder than climbing to the sky.

But it seemed like David had been worrying too much.

Chasel was filled with joy. Looking at the obedient girl beside him, his heart was brimming with warmth.

His sister looked really pretty, well–behaved, and talented.

“Did you study medicine with Mr. Jarvis before?”

Mirabella was a bit surprised. “How did you know?”

Chasel told her the story, plain and simple.

Mirabella didn’t expect that Chasel would go to Mr. Jarvis for help.

“Mr. Jarvis said your medical skills have surpassed his. I underestimated you that day I was thinking of inviting you to join us.”

He didn’t mention the Ministry of State Security, fearing eavesdropping.

How could they possibly recruit Dr. Bell?

“If I knew it was you that day, I could consider taking a position.”

Anyway, the operation of the family company was already well handled. Taking a position was not a problem for her, it just took some time. Chasel was moved by Mirabella’s words and thought of David’s words. His sister was not only considerate but also warm, like a down jacket!

“My job is a bit dangerous; better not go.” Chasel’s attitude suddenly changed: “Forget about taking the position.”

Mirabella thought to herself: That’s not what you said that day.

“By the way, my grandparents are not in good health and are currently undergoing a series of treatments abroad.” The treatment process cannot be interrupted, otherwise, all previous efforts will be wasted.

“If their condition does not improve, can you help take a look?”

“Sure.” Mirabella agreed.

Chasel voluntarily talked about how he met Mr. Jarvis. Before they knew it, the car had arrived at Reflections Villa.

Many cars were parked at the entrance of the villa, and a dozen people were moving things out of the cars and into the villa.

There were clothes, shoes, bags, skincare products, jewelry, food and drinks, and daily necessities.

Chasel opened the car door for Mirabella to get out. Seeing her puzzled, he smiled and said, “These are all for you. Go in and see if you like them.”

Mirabella was somewhat surprised. “Did you buy the whole mall?”

“I’m not sure what you like, so I bought different things. If there’s anything you don’t like, I promise not to buy it next time.”

After saying this, Chasel noticed Mirabella’s hair was messed up by the wind, so he helped tidy it up.

Before buying these things, he asked the house servants. Edith said Mirabella was very easy–going, not picky, and had no particular dislike colors or foods.

She accepted whatever the family gave her, whether it’s clothes or food,

Such a considerate and lovely girl, and the Melton family treated her like this!

Thinking of the Melton family’s actions, Chasel was angry. Luckily, Mirabella was decisive and sent those villains to jail.

“Let me go in with you.”

Mirabella nodded, took a few steps, then suddenly felt something strange. She turned around to take a look.

There was nothing unusual around, but she felt like someone was watching them.

Chasel followed her gaze and asked quietly, “What are you looking at?”

“Nothing.” Mirabella thought, Was it Chasel’s identity that attracted “enemies“? But with Chasel’s position, how could he be discovered by the enemy so easily, let alone come here?

Was she too nervous? Or was the person lurking in the dark targeting her?

The living room was filled with things Chasel bought for Mirabella. Many servants were moving things to Mirabella’s room.

“I heard girls love sweets.” Chasel picked up a nearby lollipop casually, tore open the wrapper, and handed it to Mirabella.

Mirabella took a bite and said, “Thanks, Chasel. It’s sweet.”

“Ms. Bella, you’re back? Chasel had some flowers planted on your balcony. They’re really beautiful; you should take a look.”

Previously, Hans had planted flowers on Mirabella’s balcony, and Chasel was no exception. However, when Mirabella went up, she found that the flowers Chasel had planted were hung layer by layer on her railing, perfectly covering the flowers Hans had planted earlier.

This childish behavior made Mirabella laugh.

A question came from the living room: “Why did only you come back? Where’s Bella?”

“Didn’t Bella come back with you?” Kenneth also asked, “Is she still at school? How could you leave her alone at school?”

As Mirabella was about to go downstairs, she felt a gaze coming this way again.

This time, she was sure it wasn’t her imagination, someone really was watching their every move!

[Check who’s at my front door.] Mirabella texted her subordinates, then went downstairs.

“Bella!” Louisa saw her and said happily, “Come on, dinner’s ready! I made three dishes tonight!”

“I made three too! Come taste and see how they are!”

Chasel stood aside: His parents can cook? He’s this old, and it’s the first time he’s found out they can cook.

“Where’s Romeo? Why didn’t he come back with you?” Louisa asked.

“He had something come up last minute; don’t wait for him.” Mirabella sat down, and a servant wanted to serve her soup.

Chasel quickly said, “I’ll do it.”

He served Mirabella soup and rice and handed her the utensils.

“Bella, which dish do you want to try?” Chasel intended to serve her himself.

“Of course it’s this one I made! I just learned it today! You must try it!”

After Louisa finished, Kenneth said, “The three I made are pretty good too; try a bite first.

“What? You’re trying to compete with me?”

“No, no, Mirabella can try yours first, and then mine.” Kenneth hurriedly explained.

Then, a voice exclaimed, “Serena, you’re back?”

Louisa followed the sound and saw Serena standing not far away, still in her school uniform.

She got up in surprise and said, “Serena, how come you’re back?”

“Why shouldn’t I come back?” Serena looked a bit downcast and somewhat aggrieved.

Louisa quickly said, “No, I mean, aren’t you participating in extracurricular activities?

“I heard Chasel was back, so I wanted to see him. Isn’t Mirabella also participating in extracurricular activities?” Serena meant, wasn’t Mirabella back too?

She bit her lip and said, “If there’s no food prepared for me at home, it’s okay; I just came to see Chasel; I’ll leave after a glance.”

“What, is our house running out of food?” Kenneth also stood up and walked over to her, patting her shoulder with a smile and saying, “Tired, huh? Come join us for dinner.”

He explained, “Your brother came back suddenly and didn’t notify us in advance. We thought you were busy with extracurricular activities, so we didn’t tell you, afraid you’d be too tired. Mirabella happened to run into your brother at school.”

Serena obviously didn’t believe it. Huh? Who did they think they were fooling?

Chasel worked at the Ministry of State Security. Even if he came back suddenly, he wouldn’t go to Mirabella’s school and not come to find her!

After all, she and Chasel had lived together for eighteen years, and Mirabella had only just come back a few days ago.
