“Guess I didn’t have time to pick out a gift for you, my bad. Did the card make you think I wasn’t sincere enough?” Before Mirabella could answer, Chasel said, “Just take it for now. I promise I’ll personally pick out your gifts next time, and there will be more, not less!”

Mirabella was amused by Chasel’s words; she didn’t expect him to be so funny.

Chasel grabbed her arm and insisted on her taking the card. He then realized that he had grabbed onto Mirabella’s hand as well.

The card was forcibly shoved into Mirabella’s hand.

Mya and Joyce on the side felt unbelievable!

Mirabella was a bit helpless. She hadn’t touched any of the cards her big brother and David gave her, and then she got one more from Chasel.

“There’s my good little sis.” Chasel’s eyes softened.

The people around them were stunned. They had never seen the minister so tender and indulgent, so cool, so charming!

They were all touched by his charm!

“Can I add you on WhatsApp?” Chasel asked, then added in a whisper, “I asked big brother for your WhatsApp before, but he told me to ask you myself, to ask David. He scammed me for some money and then didn’t give me anything.“.

Poor Chasel, even got scammed by his brother for wanting to see his sister.

“How much did David scam you?”

“Not much; if he really wanted to give it, I would be willing to give more.”

So generous! Going through so much just to get Mirabella’s contact information! Does he need more sisters? Can they volunteer?

Mirabella wanted to add his contact information on WhatsApp‘

Chasel felt a warm feeling inside; his sister was so sweet, understanding, and thoughtful!

He quickly opened the WhatsApp, added her, and changed the nickname to ‘Good Little Sis.

If anyone saw his contact list, they’d know all the contacts were marked with the original names. He was too lazy to change them.

Mirabella was the first person he changed the nickname for!

Mirabella then typed a string of phone numbers into the chat box and sent it over, saying, “This is my phone number.”

“Good girl.” Chasel looked at the obedient and clever Mirabella in front of him and couldn’t help but pat her head.

Mirabella’s hair was so soft, and she looked so cute. How did she manage to be so adorable and lovable?

The previous time David was bragging about how he patted Mirabella’s head every day, and Mirabella herself said her favorite person was David!

Chasel was so jealous back then, but because of the mission, he couldn’t go home, which he still regretted.

Then he also got to pat Mirabella’s head. It felt so good!

Chasel sent his own phone number over, “This is my number. Save it. I will call you often when I have time.”

Often??

“If I don’t answer your call or reply to your message one day, it’s definitely because I’m on a mission. I will reply as soon as I see it.” He said that in advance to avoid any misunderstandings in the future.

Mya and Joyce didn’t understand what Chasel meant by “on a mission” but it sounded very formidable and mysterious.

Mirabella nodded and said, “Be careful.”

The Ministry of State Security was a place full of danger and pressure.

Her brother becoming a minister was really not easy.

“I’m only here for four days this time, and I hope I can spend all these days with you.”

After Chasel finished speaking, he made a silent vow to buy a gift for his sister later, hoping to leave a good impression on her.

Romeo thought, “Four days! So what is going to do?”

At that point, Chasel’s gaze fell on Romeo, with a look of probing in his eyes.

“Bella, why don’t you chat with your classmates for a while? I need to talk to Romeo about something.”

Mirabella, of course, knew what he meant, so she nodded and patted him, saying, “Have a good chat.”

Mirabella’s words left Chasel slightly confused. Did his sister want him to be nicer and more polite to Romeo?

Was she trying to protect that guy? Was he overthinking things?

After Mirabella left, Romeo stepped forward, extended his hand to Chasel for a handshake, and began amicably, “Long time no see.”

Who would have thought that their relationship would progress further upon their next meeting?

“Did Bella agree to your relationship, or did you force her through a marriage contract?” Chasel asked as soon as he started, from the position of an elder brother.

Romeo answered truthfully, “I fell in love at first sight.”

He hadn’t forced her, nor had he formally pursued her.

Indeed, he owed Bella a serious courtship.

He briefly mentioned the incident of Bella saving Phillip McMillian.

Chasel had no idea that his sister’s medical skills were so superb. Not only did she cure Grandpa Phillip, but she could even cure Grandma Shirley, who had become a vegetable!

He only knew that his sister had been found, but he had no idea about her incredible skills.

It seemed that his sister must have gone through a lot of hardships to acquire such superb medical skills. His eyes grew darker instantly.

Chasel said, “Don’t be overly intimate with Bella in front of others since your marriage hasn’t been settled yet.”

Romeo naturally understood Chasel’s meaning. If he couldn’t end up with Bella, his current intimacy could harm Bella’s reputation and life.

Romeo made a promise, “Don’t worry, in this lifetime, I will only marry Bella.”

The dude was that determined?

Chasel looked at him. With his status and identity, he had so many choices. Could he really promise to marry only Mirabella in his lifetime?

It wasn’t that Chasel lacked confidence in his sister or thought she wasn’t good enough for Romeo. He was just worried about her investing too much in the relationship.

Romeo always had to consider Mirabella, not just get overly intimate because of his infatuation at that time.

“Bella can affect my emotions; she is very important to me. Sometimes wish she could grow up sooner and graduate sooner, so I can give her a grand wedding letting everyone know she’s my wife, Romeo’s wife. I want everyone to witness our happiness, and I want to keep her by my side through marriage. You may not believe how afraid I am of losing her.””

That statement surprised Chasel. Romeo could be afraid too? What in this world could he be afraid of?

“There are many women in this world, many young and beautiful women, and there will be more in the future. But only she can make me go crazy and obsessed.” Romeo’s words were heartfelt and sincere, “To me, she is really important.”

“Important enough to make you give up your status and position?” Chasel looked into his eyes, seemingly waiting for an answer.

Romeo laughed and responded, “If I could use all my status and position to get her, then I would be making a profit.”

Chasel was once again taken aback, but after all, it was just a verbal promise, and he wasn’t completely buying it.

“If I have to give up my status and position to be with her, I wouldn’t hesitate to chuck everything I have now.”

Even if he had to live as an ordinary person for the rest of his life, as long as Bella was there, he would be the happiest man in the world.

Getting her was like getting the whole world Enough said.

“Easy to say, but damn hard when it actually comes to giving up”

Romeo got Chasel’s point.

“Chasel, I promised Hans before, and now I’ll say it to you. If one day you guys feel that Bella is being wronged by me, or if I ever betray Bella, you can come and take my life anytime. I won’t put up any resistance.”

Chasel felt like he was just getting to know him today, his gaze at him was deeper, seemingly understanding why Bella liked him. A man of his character and responsibility would say such things.

“Alright, I’ll hold you to that. If one day you hurt my sister or dare to mess around, your life is mine to take!”

“Sure” Romeo agreed seriously.

“Now that you’ve chosen Bella, try to stay away from Serena as much as possible.”

Chasel knew Serena had a crush on Romeo and dreamed of becoming his wife.

“Chasel, rest assured, I’ve never had any inappropriate thoughts about Serena. I don’t like her. I only love Bella. Now and in the future I won’t change my mind. You can relax.”

On the side, Chasél’s groupies were crowding around Mirabella, chattering non–stop.

“You’re so well–behaved and cute!”

“Your genes are really something.”

“Sis, you have no idea how much our boss wanted to fly back to see you. The mission was supposed to end at the end of the month, but he finished it early! You wouldn’t believe how.”

They didn’t finish the sentence with “dangerous“, but Mirabella guessed it and felt a bit anxious inside.

“The moment the mission ended, the boss flew straight back, without even taking a break! We were so exhausted last night that we could fall asleep standing up
