“But not as great as you.” Romeo decided to dock their pay and get them to up their game.

Did they really deserve a ten grand paycheck every month? They can’t even hold a candle to Mirabella!

Mirabella had no idea what he was thinking and served him more food. “Eat up if you like it and I’ll cook for you again in the future.”

Hearing that, Romeo paused, his eyes softening.

Mirabella mentioned “the future” again and even talked about cooking for him.

“No need to trouble yourself.”

How could he let her cook? He was already over the moon this time; even the dish he usually dislikes tasted heavenly.

After dinner, Romeo parked his car near the school, and Mirabella was about to get off when he pulled her into his arms and kissed her.

After getting off, she wanted to return to her dorm to draw but unexpectedly saw a familiar figure surrounded by a few girls.

“Serena, this is our school. What do you think?” Who invited Serena for a tour of Westerly College?

Serena looked around, laughed dismissively, and didn’t think the school Mirabella was attending was all that.

“Serena, you’re getting prettier so you really know how to take care of yourself.”

Serena gave a small smile and gracefully responded, “Oh, stop it. There are plenty of people more beautiful than me.”

“Serena! How can we mere mortals live if you say that?” A girl immediately clung to her hand and whined, “The daughter of the nation’s wealthiest man calling herself ordinary. Did you think about how we ordinary people would feel when you said that?”

“Exactly! Serena, you’re being too modest!”

Several girls chimed in, showering her with compliments.

“If you’re ordinary, why would Romeo propose to you? Men are all about the looks!”

“Your parents are loaded, and you’re calling yourself ordinary.”

“And the key point is that you’re so pretty, with such good skin. Look at me, I stayed up late last night and woke up with a little pimple this morning.”

Just as Serena was wondering how to show off her skincare products, the conversation swung in that direction, and she immediately pulled out a bottle of flawless serum from her bag.

“Here you go: Serena handed it over with elegance and grace, smiling as she spoke, “This product works wonders. Just apply it on your pimple, and by the next day, it will shrink!”

The girl gaped in surprise at the brand of the serum: “Serena, this is from SV and a tiny bottle costs hundreds of dollars. You’re just giving it away so casually. This is beyond rich!”

Serena had seen this reaction coming so she gently smiled and said, “My parents bought me too many. I have around eight or nine bottles of this serum at home. I can’t finish them all, and it’s a waste if they expire”

Every word she spoke just screamed wealth.

“Your family is loaded!” the girl exclaimed, green with envy.

Exactly the effect Serena was aiming for. She maintained her smile and said, “Take it and use it! Don’t be shy. If you get a chance, come visit Summerfield College. I’ll treat you guys to a meal”

Seeing her generosity and understanding, the girls hurriedly thanked her.

“Serena, you’re the best!”

“Thank you, Serena!”

“You’re so kind,”

Mirabella was uninterested in such displays of wealth. She just wanted to head back to her dorm to draw. Taking a different route, she was unexpectedly stopped halfway.

A group of girls stood menacingly in front of Mirabella, Noreen, the leader, was clenching her fists and angrily asked, “Mirabella, do you dare to meet me on the back hill?”

There were cameras everywhere in the school so she wouldn’t dare make a move.

The girls behind her were the ones who had been humiliated by Mirabella and Kelly last time. Seeing Mirabella alone, they were itching to get their revenge. “Do I need to go all the way to the back hill just to hear you talk? Do you think I have that much free time?” Mirabella looked up, clearly annoyed. “Move”

“And if we don’t?” Noreen crossed her arms and said, “If you’re so capable, why don’t you crawl between my legs?”

The girls started laughing, intentionally blocking the way.

Mirabella took out her phone and said, “Then I’ll just take a picture and show it to the counselor. Even getting a big demerit and having to write a reflection letter didn’t make you guys regret it. So tell me, why did you want me to go to the back hill? Say what you just said again.”

Noreen gritted her teeth and said, “Stop filming, put away your phone.”

Mirabella kept filming their faces and even started critiquing: “Your skin is clearly dehydrated, what good will slathering on skincare products do?” One of the girls started panicking, subconsciously touching her face. How did Mirabella know she wasn’t using any hydrating products?

No wonder her skin was still dry despite all the skincare products. So she needed to hydrate first, but how did Mirabella know?

“Your complexion doesn’t look so good. Have you been having indigestion lately?” Mirabella started assessing another girl and said, “Eat less unhealthy food and drink more water. And you? What are you laughing at? Look at the pimples on your face. Instead of blocking the path here, why don’t you guys go take better care of your skin? You’re only freshmen

Hearing Mirabella’s words, one of the girls actually stepped aside, pulling out a mirror to look at her own face.

Noreen was furning, but before she could say anything, Mirabella had already strutted past them.

“Mirabella, the Enid you bullied yesterday is my cousin! I’m warning you I won’t forget what you did to her! I’ll definitely get you back for this! Just you wait!”

Mirabella hadrit expected Enid and Noreen to be related. Their personalities were strikingly similar.

Next morning, all the freshmen headed to the temporary training base set up on the back hill for some belly crawling drills.

As soon as Mirabella arrived at the base, a bunch of classmates greeted her enthusiastically.

“Good morning, Bella.”

“Hey Bella, rise and shine.”

“Bella, you made it.”

Mirabella was left with question marks floating around her head. Did she know them?

“Bella, thanks for giving us a day off yesterday.”

“We had the AC on all day in our dorm yesterday, it was bliss,”

“Thanks for dealing with Noreen!”

A crowd of strangers surrounded Mirabella, complimenting her on her skin and how pretty she was, all with friendly facès.

Jerome blew the whistle: ‘Attention!”

Everyone immediately stood up straight.

Today’s exercise was belly crawling. The wide field allowed all the freshmen to participate at once.

“Let’s go over the rules.” Jerome glanced at everyone and spoke seriously: “As soon as you hear the gunshot, you’ll hit the deck and start to crawl, aiming for the red flag at the finish line. There will be six instructors on the watchtower looking for targets. Your job is to keep a low profile and avoid making too much noise. The guns are paintball guns. If the instructors spot you, they will shoot, and anyone h has to start over from the beginning.”

So, unless they passed today’s test and grabbed the red flag at the finish line, they’d be crawling around in the grass all day.

“Other schools have singing and dancing for extracurriculars, and we’re here busting our asses every day.”

“It’s so hot and they want us to train in half a meter of grass; this is unbearable.

Jerome glanced at Mirabella as if asking. Need to take a rain check?

Mirabella just stared back at him and asked: Do I need to take a rain check?

She seemed like a tough cookie.

Jerome blew the whistle to signal the start of the race. All the students dove into the grass to start crawling.

This grass is so prickly.”

“Help, it’s too hot.”

“So many mosquitoes.”

Some were moaning and groaning, and a fair few got hit by paintball and had to bow out.

Mirabella hadn’t even crawled a few steps forward when she felt people crowding around her.

“Bella, cover me!”

“Bella, I want to stick with you.”

“Bella, take me with you!”

These were the same guys who had been singing her praises earlier.

One of the instructors spotted a student fanning himself and took a shot, leaving Mirabella speechless.

“Don’t make big movements; follow my lead.”

Under Mirabella’s guidance, her team of seven or eight students made good progress.

Up on the watchtower.

A stem–faced man held a pair of binoculars, surveying the scene below.

“Minister, have you spotted your sister?”

“How was he supposed to pick her out from this crowd?”

“It’s too hard on a girl to train in this scorching heat. Some people just don’t know how to be considerate to women.

A few subordinates murmured behind Chasel, who gripped his binoculars tightly.

He couldn’t tell which one was his sister. He had asked David earlier, but David just played coy, saying the most beautiful student in the whole school was her!

He scanned the field, seeing only a sea of crawling figures. He couldn’t tell who was who.
