After saying that. Nora walked over to Oriana and held Oriana’s hands affectionately,

“Oriana, it seems that we all misunderstood you. You were innocent. We were all deceived by Alicia!”

Oriana’s face was still very pale. Her clear eyes displayed softness and timidness. She looked at Nora in fear, and asked innocently.

“Director Nora, what should I say now?”

Nora was about to explode in anger. She couldn’t believe that Oriana was still acting like a fool.

Crystal on the other hand was also very angry. Oriana had ruined all their plans. And coupled with that, she was still pretending to be weak and innocent. She was so angry that she wanted to pounce on Oriana and tear her apart.

“Oriana!” Crystal called out angrily.

Oriana was started that she quickly withdrew her hands from Nora’s hands.

“I’m so sorry if I had said something wrong, please don’t hurt me again.” She pleaded sadly.

Oriana’s words implied that they were responsible for her first injury, and that if another injury was inflicted on her, it would definitely be done by the Paulos,

The scene seemed to have caused an uproar amongst the audience. Everyone pointed at Nora and Crystal and mumbled amongst themselves,

“They are way two arrogant. Even in our presence, they dare to bully Oriana this way.”

“Hey, you better be quiet, we can’t afford to offend the Paulos.”

Nora and Crystal felt as though they were losing their mind, they couldn’t believe that the crowd had turned against them.

North and Crystal had suffered a huge loss at the press conference. They hated the outcome so much that they were. ready to deal with Oriana after the press conference.

They were all ready to humiliate Oriana behind closed doors

But as soon as the thought swirled in their heads, they heard Oriana’s pitiful voice cry out. “I’ll do just as you say. director Nora, I really don’t want to get into more trouble in the Academy Of Sciences,”

Sure enough, there were whisperings heard amongst the crowd.

They really did that to Oriana, they’re bad people.”

“I didn’t expect the Paulo family to act this way, I thought they were honourable.”

“Do you think that they’ll attack Oriana after this?”

“I really don’t think they’ll want to hurt her now that our eyes are on them.”

Nora was so dizzy that she missed a foot and almost fell.

“Mum, are you alright?” Crystal quickly rushed to support Nora.

Nora’s face had turned pale. The situation at hand was already out of control. If they continued with the press. conference, then the unimaginable might happen.

Nora quickly took effective measures and tendered an apology.

“I wish to apology to everyone about all that transpired today. You all are shocked as well as 1 and my daughter. Crystal. Now that the press conference is officially over, we’ll call in the police to handle it from here. We’ll inform you all once there’s need for another press conference. So, thank you all for coming, you may please exit the hall.”

Many staff members and security guards appeared, and they quickly led the reporters and students out.

After all the reporters and students had exited the hall, Nora’s face had quickly turned gloomy. She didn’t need to be hypocritical anymore, so she said to Oriana.

“I underestimated you!”

Oriana stretched out her hand and flipped her hair backwards. The tenderness and fear that her eyes had exuded had vanished without any trace. She smiled, as she met Nora’s gaze.

“I thought I had already taught you a lesson at the radio’s auditioning, but you guys still dared to provoke me. Well, I can’t help but give y’all what you want.”

This was the real Oriana.

Crystal was furious, as she thought about the display that Oriana had just made.

“Oriana, you really know how to act, don’t you? You deceived everyone!”

Oriana took two steps and walked up to Crystal. She looked at Crystal’s pretty face that was fuming in anger. Oriana chuckled and said,

“Crystal, what are you so angry about? Do you think that it’s only you that can pretend? I simply copied your ways. isn’t that beautiful?”

Crystal was so angry that she started panting heavily.

“I can see that you’re extremely angry, but if I were you, I would think twice before doing anything. Because if anything happens to me, I’m afraid that the entire Paulo family will be in real trouble.” Oriana threatened softly. Crystal felt like she was about to lose her mind. Oriana was right, if anything happened to Oriana, all fingers would be pointed to the Paulo family, and that was an attention that the Paulo family definitely didn’t need.

Crystal felt powerless, as she couldn’t do anything to Oriana.

Nora pulled Crystal’s arms, and muttered, “Oriana, we’re not done yet. We’ll see who will have the last laugh.”

“Director Nora, I don’t know what will happen in the future, but I’m afraid that Mr. Paulo’s scandal will be an Interesting story which will be spread across the world.”

Nora clenched her fist, and stared gloomily at Oriana.

Oriana turned around and walked away from them. When she got to where Alicia was, she shook her head sadly, as she stared at her.

Alicia was only a twenty years old girl, whose life was just beginning, but it had been stopped today because of a single decision of hers.

Alicia’s eyes reddened as she stared at Oriana. Her eyes exuded pain, remorse and envy.

Oriana halted in her track, as she looked down at Alicia.

“Alicia, wipe away your tears. Everyone has been bestowed with the power to choose what to do with their lives. And whatsoever you choose, you must bear the consequences. Alicia, I used to regard you as my friend, but bear in mind that I’m still not done with you yet.”

Once Oriana was done speaking, she walked away from Alicia. Oriana happened to look upstairs, and there was a figure standing on the second floor. It was Mr. Paulo.

Mr. Paulo didn’t leave for any medical research at all. Instead, he stood on the second floor the entire time, and watched all that transpired.

Mr. Paulo’s expression was very ugly. His cloudy eyes dripped with gloom, as he glared at Oriana fiercely.

Oriana met his gaze without fear. Oriana walked towards the door, opened it and exited the building.

Ethan had left the press conference when he got a call.

Ethan answered his call, and replied, “Okay, I’ll be there in a moment.”

After hanging up. Ethan stood by the side of the road and flagged down a taxi.

Soon, a taxi stopped before him. Ethan opened the back door and got in.

“I’m heading to Bloor street.” He informed the driver.

The driver was dressed in black, and had a peaked cap on his head.

Oriana lowered her voice and imitated a male voice, “Okay, sir.”

The taxi galloped down the road smoothly. After half an hour, it reached its destination and stopped in front of a building in Bloor street.

Ethan paid the fare and got out of the car. He walked into the building. Oriana slowly raised her head. She looked through the window and saw that there was a man clothed in black that was already awaiting Ethan.

Ethan walked over and whispered something to the man.

Oriana’s eyes widened. The man in black wasn’t Derrick Domino, but Derrick Domino’s henchman.

Her guess was correct. It was indeed Derrick Domino who had sent Ethan. It could be seen in Ethan’s eyes that he really loved Alicia, but Derrick Domino made him forget about his love for Alicia and he went on to tear her apart. Derrick Domino was even aware of Alicia’s secret. Who really was Derrick Domino?

Oriana was wary and fearful of Derrick Domino in her heart. She didn’t like the feeling of being monitored by Derrick Domino. She wanted to find out who Derrick really was!

The man in black suddenly turned and saw Oriana.

The man halted, he obviously didn’t expect Oriana to be there. He and Ethan ended the conversation abruptly, as they turned and left.

Oriana quickly opened the door and hurried out, but the man had disappeared without trace.

Oriana stomped her feet in annoyance. She had missed a chance of finding out who Derrick was! Now she could only wait for his next appearance.

After a while, Oriana turned around and left.

After Oriana left, the man in black walked out of a dark corner. He stared at the direction where Oriana had taken, then he took out his phone, and dailed a number.
