Soren said, “Jada, your mother is right. You have indeed done a lot for the Klein family.”

Then he turned to Andrew. “Did you see it? At this critical moment, Jada found the medicine for your grandfather. What about Isabella? What did she do? Nothing! She did nothing! So, don’t let Jada down again this time.”

“That’s right, Andrew. Jada is a wonderful woman. It will be good for the Klein family if you two get married. Since Jada can save Damari, please promise Mara you will marry Jada.”

Andrew didn’t say anything. He looked at the lockbox in Jada’s hand and said, “Let me see the medicine.”

Mara immediately stood in front of Andrew to shield the lockbox and said, “Andrew, I have watched you grow up. Jada has loved you for many years and done many things for you. I don’t believe you haven’t seen it, so as long as you agree to marry Jada, I will ask her to give you the medicine.”

“Mom…” Jada felt embarrassed. “How can you say that? Andrew, darling, don’t listen to my mother.”

She was about to give the lockbox to Andrew, but she was stopped by Mara, who looked at her with red eyes and said, “Jada, I’m doing this for your own good. You’re the only daughter I have. You’ve done so much for Andrew but received nothing. I feel so sorry for you. If he is a man, he should marry you. If he doesn’t marry you, it means he is not a human at all. Such a person is not worthy of your love.”

Jada was stunned for a while. It seemed her mother had persuaded her. She was lost in thought.

One of the Klein family’s relatives immediately said, “Mara, don’t be so worked up. Andrew will marry Jada.”

“Andrew, Jada has done all this for you. If you still refuse to marry her, that’s truly unfair!”

“Andrew, for the sake of your grandfather, please say yes. Would you really let him pass away?”

Everyone was persuading Andrew. If he refused, he would be seen as unfilial. If word got out, his reputation could be destroyed. Andrew stared at the box containing the medicine. It was from his lab.

He scoffed, “Is this medicine yours?”

Seeing Andrew’s skeptical look, Jada furrowed her brow and responded, “I secured it from somewhere, but I’ve paid a great deal for it.”

Mara sympathized with her and said, “Oh, you foolish girl, you’ve given so much, and yet Andrew doesn’t seem to care. Haven’t you seen…?”

Jada bit her lip and gazed at Andrew, tears brimming in her eyes.

Mara said, “Listen here, Andrew. If you don’t marry Jada, you won’t get the medicine! As her mother, I must secure what’s best for my daughter!”

“Just say yes, Andrew!”

“Are you really going to let your grandfather die?”

The room began to buzz with chatter. Soren stepped up and patted Andrew on the shoulder. “Please, Andrew, agree! Your grandfather doesn’t have much time.”

Andrew’s expression was icy cold. Even he wouldn’t consent! He felt a surge of frustration. Was he really that hung up on Isabella?

However, Jada didn’t need to be anxious. It was Andrew who should be. If Damari died, everyone would point their fingers at Andrew. The room was tense, with Andrew remaining silent, and nobody could stay calm.

“Andrew, why are you silent?”

“Your grandfather can’t hold on much longer. Can’t you see that?”

“Andrew, please listen to Mara. I can’t understand why you’re hesitating. Jada is such a wonderful girl!”

Everyone felt let down seeing Andrew not meet their expectations. They believed it was Andrew’s luck that Jada wanted to be with him, yet he was still unsure.

Suddenly, a loud noise captured everyone’s attention. Damari’s heartbeat was irregular!

“Call the doctor! Call the doctor!” someone yelled. “Damari can’t hold on much longer. Andrew, what are you doing?”

Soren grabbed Andrew’s shoulders and pleaded, “Say something. Please say yes to Mara!”

Doctors arrived, cleared the room, and began treating Damari. Soon, one of the doctors emerged from the room and said to Andrew, “He doesn’t have much time left. It’s already miraculous that he has lasted this many days. You should prepare yourself mentally.”

Andrew clenched his fists, his veins bulging visibly. Jada sobbed and said, “Mom, don’t hold me back anymore.”

Yet, Mara replied, “Even now, Andrew refuses to marry you. Isabella matters more to him than his grandfather. You shouldn’t waste your feelings on someone like that!”

The people around them stirred, urging Andrew to agree right away. Soren, visibly angry, shouted, “Andrew, if your grandfather knew what you’re doing, he would regret ever raising you! You’re giving up your grandfather’s chance for a miracle cure for Isabella!”

Andrew checked his phone, his face showing signs of stress for once.

“Let’s leave,” Mara said, taking Jada’s hand. “We need to accept other people’s choices.”

“Mara, please don’t leave.” Soren pleaded for her to stay and looked at Andrew with disappointment. “Andrew, are you willing to watch your grandfather die? We, the Kleins, don’t need a leader like you!”

Just then, the doctor noticed the box Jada was holding. Surprised, he asked, “Is this the medicine? It has been produced already? Why didn’t you say something? With this, Mr. Klein could pull through!”

This was an unexpected glimmer of hope! The doctor was thrilled, but he noticed the odd expressions around him and furrowed his brow, asking, “What’s the issue?”

Soren scoffed. “Mara only offered it on the condition that Andrew marries Jada, but he’s refused! He’s choosing a woman over his own grandfather!”

The doctor’s expression turned grave. Having treated the family, he was well acquainted with their dynamics. He had always seen Andrew as a devoted grandson. How could he possibly act this way?

The doctor felt compelled to urge Andrew. “Mr. Klein, life is the most precious thing. Your grandfather has always been good to you. Can you really bear to let him die?”

Andrew’s expression remained stoic as he silently gazed towards the elevator.

“Mr. Klein!” The doctor was confused by Andrew’s apparent indifference. Giving up his grandfather’s chance at a cure for a woman?

If word got out, the backlash would be severe!

Seeing that Andrew remained silent, Mara was furious. Her daughter Jada was a wonderful girl, yet Andrew dismissed her so casually! She stormed off while gripping Jada’s wrist. Jada glanced back at Andrew, tears streaming down her face.

Andrew’s relatives could no longer stand the situation.

“Boss, here it is.”

At this moment, Andrew’s assistant rushed over and handed the medicine produced in their lab to the doctor. “Please inject it into Mr. Damari Klein now.”

The doctor was confused for a moment. “Is this also a medicine for Mr. Klein?”

This kind of medicine should be unique and precious. Why had two of them suddenly appeared at the same time?

“Hurry! Do it now,” Andrew immediately urged.

It was only then that the doctor moved back to his task and quickly got to work.

The assistant gasped for air. “Mr. Klein, we were fortunate to arrive in time. Thanks to everyone in the laboratory for their persistence and hard work. They worked all night to improve the medicine until the real product was finally produced. We have it, and it’s effective.”

Andrew nodded. Then, he saw Isabella walking toward him. He walked up to her and hugged her.

Isabella felt his body trembling and noticed that his shirt was damp. She was so shocked that she immediately hugged him back and said comfortingly, “Don’t worry anymore—Isn’t the medicine already here?”

“Honey, thank you very much,” Andrew’s voice was low and hoarse.

Isabella felt his sadness. He must be the most anxious when something happened to Damari. She patted him on the shoulder and said gently, “Don’t worry; I’m here. Didn’t I say Damari would be okay?”

“I know,” Andrew said hoarsely.

Everyone was shocked by the sudden changes. How could there be another medicine?

“Is the medicine you brought real?” Soren asked the assistant.

???????????????? ??? ????????????.?????/p>

The assistant looked at the people around him, obviously not liking them. “Of course, it’s real.”

“How can that be? The medicine for Damari’s condition is hard to get. Could it be that you were fooled?” Soren said suspiciously.

The assistant almost burst into laughter, thinking Soren was ridiculous. The laboratory belonged to them. How could they be deceived?

At this moment, he saw Jada holding the lockbox. It was a special lockbox for the medicine. He walked to Jada and asked, “What is that?”
