Crystal was still with Charlotte. When Crystal saw the first short video, her lips were thrown apart.

“Does Derrick knows what he is doing? Is he crazy?!” Crystal half-yelled as she watched the video in disappointment.

“What’s the matter?” Charlotte muttered as she took the phone from Crystal. Charlotte watched the video and immediately scolded Derrick,

“Your cousin, Derrick, actually had taken eight boxes of treasures to the Hendrix family to propose marriage to Oriana? He’s blind, isn’t he?”

Derrick Rodriguez, Crystal and Charlotte were all relatives, but Derrick didn’t like to mingle with them.

Crystal and Charlotte felt that Derrick had demoted himself by proposing to Oriana.

Everyone had already consented that none of the famous sons in Imperial would be present at Tom Hendrix’s birthday banquet!

Crystal collected her phone from Charlotte angrily. Immediately, another video popped lu.

“There’s another video.” Crystal mumbled as she clicked on the video.

Crystal’s eyes widened as she stared at Charlotte beside her horrifyingly.

“Crystal, what is it? Why is your face like that?” Charlotte asked, unaware of what had happened.

“Charlotte, I have bad news. Marvin had also attended the birthday banquet, and…. Oriana is Marvin’s fianceel”

Charlotte gasped loudly. She grabbed the phone from Crystal and watched how Marvin had gently hugged Oriana into his arms.

“Oriana is Marvin’s fiancee? How is that possible?!” Charlotte questioned as she blinked repeatedly trying to convince herself that it was indeed a joke.

Crystal looked at Charlotte and said,

“I heard aunt Armstead one time saying that Marvin was already engaged to someone from birth. When she said this, I wondered what kinda girl the girl would be that made aunt Armstead like her so much. I never had thought that Marvin’s fiancee would be Oriana, the daughter of the Hendrix family.” Charlotte also knew that Marvin was engaged. But this fiancee of his had been missing for years. She thought that his fiance was probably dead.

Who would have thought that this fiancee would be the person she hated the most!

Charlotte clenched her fists, her eyes gleamed viciously.

“Why is it Oriana? Why is she the one? I’ve loved Marvin for so many years, Marvin is mine!” She declared unwaveringly.

Crystal’s expression wasn’t also exuding happiness. They had all waited for Oriana to be embarrassed and become a laughing stock in the city.

They really couldn’t fathom what charm Oriana had. It was unbelievable that she could make the sons of the most wealthy families in Imperial to fall in love with her.

“Charlotte, don’t be angry yet. Let’s think of a good way to deal with Oriana and drive her out of Imperial?” Crystal said fiercely.

The distinguished guests had dispersed to their various seats.

Oriana was still in shock for a long time, she was holding onto her mother’s jade in her hand, but she still couldn’t accept the fact that Marvin was her fiancee.

Deacon had once told her the story. It turned out that the daughter of his mother’s best friend was herself.

She was now Marvin’s fiancee.

Oriana’s bright eyes fell on Marvin’s handsome face.

“Oriana…” Marvin interupted her and held onto her smooth shoulders.

“Oriana, I know that this is extremely sudden for you, but our engagement is real I didn’t have time to participate in your past, so I want to be in your present and future. Let’s forget about the past. In the future, I’ll love you with all my heart, Oriana, and I’ll make sure that you’re happy. Oriana, I like you so much…” Marvin confessed tenderly.

Oriana lowered her head slowly. She had always known about Marvin’s intentions towards her. She ought to be excited by the thought of being with the talented and handsome son of the Armstead family.

However, she didn’t have such relationship with Marvin. In addition to that, she had been married to Deacon for a short time and had been his sister-in-law. Now that she realized that she was his fiance, the feeling was strange to Oriana.

Tom and Mia walked over.

“Oriana, this marriage was initiated by your mother herself. We know that Marvin is good guy, and he won’t make you sad, my dear.” Tom said kindly

“Oriana, I think that the past should be buried, and that you should be optimistic about the future. I think the future will be very beautiful, my Oriana.” Mia added with a smile.

Neither Tom nor Mia liked Deacon. Deacon was engaged to Crystal. They didn’t want Oriana to be trapped between them.

Oriana was still very young. She was bound to meet more better people in the future. Marvin was that better person!

Oriana sighed slowly, as she heard the duo speak. Yes, she had always held Mr. Armstead tightly and was unwilling to let go.

However, Mr. Armstead was no longer alive, it was just Deacon Armstead.

Oriana understood perfectly about Marvin’s intentions. For such a long time, he had been silently protecting her from afar. Even in the few months she disappeared, he had searched the entire world and didn’t hesitate to confront his father for her sake.

Oriana felt that the situation she found herself in was complicated.

Marvin looked at Oriana’s face, his cold black eyes had softened a little bit.

“Oriana, i don’t want to force you to do anything you don’t want to do. In the next three months, you’ll be my fiancee. Let’s try and see if things will work out between us. I’ll try my best to make you fall in love with me. If after three months you still don’t love me, then I’ll give up…”

Oriana didn’t expect Marvin to say this. He only needed three months to make her fall in love with him. If after that period she hadn’t fallen in love with him, then he would break the engagement.

Marvin had willingly retreated to such a lowly position because of Oriana.
