“Mr. Rodriguez, did my Oriana offend you?” Tom Hendrix inquired.
“Far from that. I’m here to marry Oriana!” Derrick replied confidently.

Derrick wanted marrying Oriana?
Everyone’s expression exuded shock. First it was Mrs. Robert who wanted recognizing Oriana as her granddaughter, and now, Derrick Rodriguez showed up to declare his intention of marrying Oriana.
Derrick Rodriguez clapped his hands mysteriously, and soon, many ser vants walked in, with gold boxes in their hands.
Everyone was curious as to what was going on.
“Young master Rodriguez, what’s in these boxes?” Tom Hendrix queried.
“This box contains gold bars. While this box contains pearl and agate jewelries, this box contains silk. and and satin dresses…” Derrick Rodriguez opened the boxes one after another, revealing the valuables inside to the onlookers.
Derrick Rodriguez walked up to Oriana, his lips arched in a smile.
“Oriana, these are my gifts to you. I want to marry you!”
In the entire of Imperial city, Derrick was probably amongst the few who could brazenly offer a boxes of treasures as a betrothal gift.
Everyone present were convinced that Derrick wasn’t joking, and that he was really interested in marrying Oriana.

Tom Hendrix and Mia wanted preventing Derrick from getting any closer to Oriana, but Mrs. Robert had already taken the initiation to grabbed Derrick by the right ear.
“You don’t need any reason!” She muttered to him through gritted teeth.
With that, a smile appeared on the old lady’s face as she stared at Oriana.
“Oriana, don’t be afraid, okay? Grandma is here with you.”
Oriana returned the smile and nodded lightly,
At this moment, the old lady’s surbordinate hurried over again.
“Ma’am, Robert, this isn’t good. There’s someone else who is heading here!” The surbordinate whispered to the old lady. But his voice was quite audible and the others in the room had heard what he said.
The crowd began whispering amongst themselves, as they wondered who it was. It was indeed an overwhelming night to the guests.
Old Mrs. Robert and Tom Hendrix didn’t utter a word.
Suddenly, a cold voice sounded to their hearing.
“Young master Rodriguez, Oriana can’t marry you. Don’t hit on her again in the future, because she’s mine. She’s my fiancee!”
Everyone looked up. This time, they were awestruck by whom they saw. Marvin had arrived!
Tonight, on Tom Hendrix’s fiftieth birthday, three of the most famous people in Imperial graced his event!
Marvin had just gotten off the plane. Tonight, he was clothed a thin white sweater over a black pants.
Marvin, the second son of the Armstead’s family became famous when he was young.
“OMG! It’s Marvin, he’s so handsome!”The ladies and gentlemen of Imperial expressed their admiration for Marvin.
“Why is Marvin here? He didn’t come for Oriana, did he?” One of the ladies asked unhappily.
“I can’t believe what I’m watching tonight. It was clear that I would come to watch Oriana humiliate herself, but the old lady of the Robert’s family ended recognizing Oriana as her granddaughter. Then, Derrick wanted marrying Oriana as his wife. And now, Marvin has joined the battle for Oriana again. This is all insane!” Another added.
When Oriana saw Marvin, Oriana’s beautiful eyes were filled with warmth. She walked forward and said to Marvin,
“Marvin, are you done settling everything? Are you back already?”
Marvin’s cold, black eyes fell on Oriana’s tender face.
“You’re my fiancee!” He replied calmly.
Oriana’s eyes widened. How could she be Marvin’s fiancee?
At this moment, Tom Hendrix stepped forward and said to Marvin,
“Second master Armstead, you claim that Oriana is your fiancee, do you have any prove?”
Marvin dipped his right hand into his pocket and took out something. It was a jade stone which was fastened with a red rope.
“Sir, Hendrix, this is a token of the engagement that was used back then.”
Tom quickly took the jade stone from Marvin, he stared at it for a while, and then turned to look at Mia who was also staring carefully at the token.
“Yes, this is… This is Hendrix family’s engagement token!” Tom nodded to Mia.
Mia took the jade stone from Tom and handed it to Oriana.
“Oriana, this is it.”
Oriana focused her attention on Mia’s reddened eyes, as she watched Mia nod her head.
Oriana’s eyelashes shivered. She stretched out her soft, white hand and collected the Jade stone.
The Jade stone was emerald green. Not only was it valuable, it seemed to be a status symbol.
Oriana held it in her fingertips, and slightly curled it up.
“Was this… Mum’s?”
Oriana slightly felt her mother’s body temperature on the Jade stone. She concluded that it was worn by her mother.
Marvin stepped forward and slowly reached out and pulled Oriana into his embrace. His thin lips fell. on her hair and he whispered,
“Oriana, I’m sorry I’m late.”
Everyone was dumbfounded. They were still in doubt and couldn’t believe that Oriana was really Marvin’s fiancee.
Seeing Marvin hugging Oriana, Derrick rushed forward immediately and said furiously,
“Marvin, could you get your f ucken hands off her!”
Old Mrs. Robert turned to look at Derrick.
“Shut up!” She ordered impatiently.
Old Mrs. Robert didn’t want Oriana to be with her grandson, Derrick Rodriguez. She could see that the two were not compatible.
It was clear that Marvin was the better choice for Oriana.
