Sophia focused her gaze on the man in front of her. For once, she was confused. Did she do the right thing to come to this man?
After all, at the end of the day, he was also a head Alpha, who everyone counted as dangerous.
She shook her head. “I don’t feel it right,” she mumbled in a confused tone.
Victor stood up and moved behind her. He gently pushed her shoulders to make her sit in her chair.
She slowly sat back in her chair, thinking about it.
Victor leaned over her from the back. Reaching over, he filled an empty glass with water. As he did so, his arm continued to brush against hers.
He put the glass down close to her and took her hand in his. His fingers became entangled with hers as he held the glass.
When he let it go, he whispered in her ear,
“Think about it. Usually, I don’t date. This chance is only for you.”
She blinked her eyes, not knowing what to say or feel at that moment. It was only a few times that she had met him. When did she give him the right to be so close to her?
Victor returned to his chair. Sophia thought about it a lot. She realized she wished to see Bryan in regret.
She recalled how her mother always talked about a boyfriend for her. If she agreed to Victor’s proposal, she could kill two birds with one stone.
So she took a deep breath and nodded her head.
“Okay?”
Victor’s brows lifted. “What okay?”
“Both of our goals are only one, and that is Bryan Morrison’s downfall. I can be your girlfriend. But we will just pretend.”
Victor sneered at her as he muttered in a low tone,
“That is up to me to decide whether it will be acting or real.”
“What?”
“Nothing.”

“Sophia, are you listening to me? Where are you lost?” Sara’s voice jolted her out of her thoughts.
She turned to her and replied,
“It’s true. I’m dating Alpha Victor.”
“Sophia, why didn’t you tell me about this yesterday? Are you sure about what you are doing right now?” Sara asked after listening to everything.
When she found out how Sophia had disclosed the trade secret of Bryan’s company, she grabbed her forehead in frustration.
After taking Sophia’s hands, she uttered,
“Listen to me. I would have never let you do that if I had known about it. You can’t just reveal anyone’s secret like that.”
Sophia let out a sigh and replied, “I stopped doing that. But I can’t let go of that man. I just hate him.”
Sara stared at her for a while. “Do you really think it can shake Alpha Bryan? I mean, I like your idea. But the person is not right. It’s Alpha Victor, you know.”
Sophia frowned as she asked, “Tell me, why are you all so afraid of him? He is just a normal man.”
Sara’s brows lifted in surprise. “Are you serious? I mean what Nolan told me about him…”
“What did he say?”
“That he doesn’t care about his pack members. He had been away from his pack for years for an unknown reason. The moment he returned, his father had to make him the head Alpha.”
“He is the heir. Of course, he should get the pack. He is not that bad.”
Sara scratched her chin and mumbled, “Or is he just good with you?”
Sophia’s eyes widened. “What do you mean?”
Sara winked at her. “I am trying to understand the situation. Everything is moving so fast that I can not tell who wants whom. If he really wanted his pack back, he could have objected to his sister’s wedding. But instead, he is with you. Should I assume he is interested in you?” Sara wiggled her brows. Sophia hit her arm lightly. “It’s not like that. He is just after Bryan.”
“What about you two?” Sara winked at her.
“SARA!”
Sara laughed while holding her stomach. “Look, you are blushing! The lonely woman is trapped between two deadly Alphas.”
“Hahaha, not so funny!” Sophia said it with a fake smile.
Sara laughed, but after a while, she let out a deep breath. She was concerned for Sophia.
Though she warned her, she had tangled in something that could either break her or make her.
“Hurry up. We should be on time,” Sophia said, grabbing the box.
When Victor called her yesterday to go with him, she asked him for another two passes for Sara and Nolan. He agreed to it, as long as she went with him.
When Sophia was finished getting ready, she looked at her reflection in the mirror.
Her perfect body was beautifully hugged by the long black dress she was wearing. Like stars in the night sky, the glitter on the dress was dazzling. It caused her skin to glow.
Her eyes stared at the dress. The color black reminded her of the man she did not want to see. But tonight, she would have to confront him. She wanted to show him that she was capable of moving on in her life.
She could also be with someone else. There was someone who could call her his girlfriend, even though he, too, was a head Alpha.
“You thought of me so lowly that you never acknowledged me as your girlfriend. You thought I did not deserve to stand with an alpha. But tonight, I will show you what I deserve. I will break your arrogance tonight.’
“Let your hair down. You look most beautiful with it,” Sara said while putting on her high heels.
Sara was dressed in a violet dress that ended just below her knee. She stood up and turned to Sophia.
“Every Alpha will be on their knees the way you look right now.”
Sophia sneered at her remarks. “Come on. You are pampering your best friend now.”
Sara locked her arms with hers and said,
“I never lie. See it at the party.”
As they left the house, they noticed Nolan waiting for them outside in his car.
He was surprised by the looks of two beautiful women. “Am I in heaven? “Why are two angels approaching me?”
Sophia and Sara laughed at him. Nolan complimented Sophia and then turned to Sara. He gave Sara a kiss and muttered,
“You look hot, baby.”
Sophia coughed and cleared her throat. Nolan moved away from Sara and rubbed his neck.
“I’m sorry.”
Sara shook her head. “Don’t feel sorry for her. She is no longer single. She has her man now,” she said to Nolan, winking at Sophia.
“Man? Did Alpha “
“Yes, Alpha. She is with Alpha Victor right now.” Sara quickly interrupted Nolan, ensuring that he did not mention Bryan. It would only ruin Sophia’s mood.
Nolan was too shocked to react. Sara did not say anything else to him because Sophia had told her not to discuss it with anyone.
“Is it true, Sophia?” Nolan asked her.
When Sophia was about to reply, a familiar car drove toward them and came to a halt behind Nolan’s car.
A handsome man stepped down from the car. He was carrying a bouquet of flowers.
“Alpha Victor?”
Nolan mumbled when the three of them turned their attention to him.
