Romeo glanced at his hand. “Let go.”

“You let go first!”

“I’m taking Bella to dinner.”

“I don’t care; Bella’s not going anywhere with you today!” David held on tightly to Mirabella’s hand.

Watching from the shadows, Serena was about to explode with anger!

She couldn’t believe David and Romeo were fighting over Mirabella!

What on earth did Mirabella have that was so great?

“Bella, who do you want to go with?” Romeo held on to Mirabella’s hand. He sounded like he was asking for her opinion, but his pleading, lingering eyes seemed to say, “You haven’t been with me for so long! You promised to be with me today!”

Mirabella was a bit helpless. “David, I promised him first. I’ll go shopping with you next time.”

“No.” David’s heart broke, but he still held on to Mirabella’s hand. “Where are you guys going? Can I come too? I can carry your bags?”

He could also keep an eye on this guy for any outrageous behavior!

If there was, he definitely wouldn’t let it slide!

Mirabella looked at David’s handsome face. It was so eye–catching. If she took him along, she would definitely attract a lot of attention!

She had experienced firsthand how famous he was at the airport that day.

“I can wear a hat! Sunglasses! A mask! I can wrap myself up like a mummy! I guarantee no one will recognize me!”

Mirabella said lightly, “Next time.”

It was daytime now, and David would easily be recognized, but not at night.

“Bella, are you really going to leave me behind?”

David felt like his heart was being ripped out. He hadn’t expected Mirabella to be so easily swayed by this bad guy! She was even going to go with him!

What on earth had this bad guy done?

Seeing Romeo open the car door for Mirabella, David couldn’t help but warn him, “I’m telling you, you can date! But if you dare to do anything inappropriate, cross any boundaries, or do anything outrageous, Mirabella’s five brothers won’t let you off the hook!”

“Respect? If Bella agrees, do you think you can take it a step further? Watch it, buddy! David warned, swinging his fist. “If Bella gets hurt in any way, I’ll move mountains to set things right for her!”

“Don’t you know me yet? Romeo smirked with a devilish grin on his face. “I may not be Mr. Nice Guy, but I’m not a man without standards or principles. Rest assured, I’ll wait until Bella is my wife”

“That day’s never coming“” David retorted.

“Let’s wait and see

As Romeo got into the car, David rushed up to the window to speak to Bella. “Bella, if this guy gives you any trouble, call me straight away. I’ll handle him myself. And get home early! If you run into any trouble or anything you can’t handle, I’ve got your back.”

“Don’t worry, David”

Seeing Romeo’s smug smile, David felt uneasy. He could only watch helplessly as the car drove away, feeling utterly dejected.

“David, what are you doing here?”

A voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

“Oh, Serena.” David glanced at Serena, then couldn’t help looking back in the direction Bella had left. The car was long gone. He then turned his attention back to Serena. “You’re up early today.”

“David, you’re up early too. It’s your day off; why didn’t you sleep in?”

“I couldn’t sleep.”

David had planned to take Bella shopping and spoil her a bit today to make up for lost time.

But Romeo had ruined everything!

The thought of his little sister having a boyfriend so soon and spending less and less time at home made David feel downright miserable.

“David, do you have some free time today? We could hang out. It’s been a while since we’ve done something together.”

She had overheard David talking about taking Bella shopping. If she could go out with David and maybe have a photographer snap a shot of them together, She’d be the talk of the town!

Everyone would know she was David’s favorite little sister.

She could also buy loads of stuff and have David pick up the tab!

But David replied listlessly, “Maybe next time.”

He had to stay home in case Bella needed him.

Serena’s smile froze, and she forced herself to stay calm. “David, do you have other plans?”

“Yeah.” David answered offhandedly, lightly patting her on the shoulder. “You go have fun by yourself today.”

Serena’s face darkened!

Romeo drove Bella to a romantic restaurant with a floral theme and led her by the hand into a private room.

Yolanda Melton, sitting in the hall, thought she was seeing things. She rubbed her eyes quickly, and in the next second, Mirabella and a man disappeared from sight.

“You asked me to come out and said you had something to talk about face–to–face. Well, I’m here now. Spit it out.“.

Across from Yolanda, Zachary was no longer the gentle soul he once was. Instead, he seemed distant and cold.

It had been a while, and Yolanda noticed that the man she loved had completely changed. There was no hint of sadness on his face. Instead, he calmly pulled out a divorce agreement and placed it in front of Zachary.

“Zachary, don’t worry, I’m not here to hassle you. This is the dissolution of our engagement agreement. I’ve already signed it.”

Upon hearing this, a hint of surprise flashed across Zachary’s face. Suppressing his inner turmoil, he picked up the agreement. It was filled with Yolanda admitting her mistakes, voluntarily giving up on marrying Zachary, and protecting the reputation and dignity of the Panter family.

This, in turn, made him feel a bit guilty and uneasy!

“Sorry, Zachary, I made a mistake. I plagiarized my sister’s music, causing you and your family to feel ashamed. Even though everyone makes mistakes, I made you unable to hold your head high in front of others and made you feel uncomfortable in front of your uncles and aunts. That’s on me!”

After Yolanda finished speaking, she took out a fancy bag and put it in front of Zachary.

“This is a gift I prepared privately. I was planning to announce it at the engagement party, but it seems I won’t be needing it now.” Yolanda gave a self–deprecating laugh, saying, “Consider it a memento.”

With that, Yolanda pulled her hand back.

Only then did Zachary notice that several of her fingers were bandaged. He asked with concern, “Did you hurt yourself while knitting?”

Yolanda withdrew her hand, saying indifferently, “That’s not important. The important thing is that the thing I knitted is a bit ugly, not like the name brands you can get at the mall. If you think it’s ugly, just chuck it!”

“No, it’s beautiful.” Zachary’s heart was deeply moved by her, and his initial decision began to waver..

“I was too naive before, thinking that as long as I truly loved you, we could be together forever. But I overlooked the fact that the Melton family’s troubles are getting worse and my social status is no longer fitting to stand beside you.”

Zachary could feel the soft touch of her fingertips, just as tempting as her lips.

She was wearing a low–cut dress today, revealing a bit of her sexy cleavage when she bent over.

Zachary thought to himself, Yolanda had such an attractive figure; she was such a gentle and understanding girl.

Realizing that she had exposed her chest, Yolanda quickly covered it and pretended to leave, but she was in such a rush that she stumbled and fell right into Zachary’s arms.

“Zachary, let go of me!” Yolanda pretended to try to stand up, her soft body rubbing against him.

Zachary could smell her scent, arousing his desire.

Yolanda’s voice became more and more urgent, her eyes turning red.

“It’s all my fault, I’m just unlucky. The big fire eighteen years ago led to me being picked up by a cleaner, and now, eighteen years later, my family is in trouble. Zachary, it’s normal for you to leave me.”

Zachary looked at her delicate face, his throat tightening. “How could I leave you?”
