Andrew’s smile widened as he gently patted Isabella’s head and teased, “But you don’t seem to be as bothered when you’re the one getting criticized.”

“Well, you’re more important to me than myself,” she said with a warm smile, her eyes sparkling.

Andrew noticed the sincerity in her words and felt deeply moved. It was clear to him that in her world, he was the one who mattered most.

Overcome by his emotions, Andrew gently touched her face and slowly leaned in closer.

Isabella’s lips were irresistibly soft, and her waist felt delicate under Andrew’s touch. He was lost in the warmth of the moment, completely immersed in the tenderness between them. But then, a sharp pain at the corner of his mouth snapped him back to reality. Blinking, Andrew met Isabella’s slightly reproachful gaze and realized he had let his emotions get the better of him.

They were still in the car, after all, with the driver in the front row. The driver had discreetly raised the partition, giving them some semblance of privacy. Isabella’s cheeks flushed a soft pink, spreading warmth across her skin. Andrew took a deep breath, trying to steady himself, but the intensity of his feelings was still evident in his dark, smoldering eyes.

“I’m sorry,” he murmured, his voice low and husky. “You’re just too enchanting.”

Isabella blinked, momentarily stunned by his words, her heart skipping a beat. Andrew’s eyes gleamed with mischief as he leaned closer. “Honey, do you have to go to the office today?” he asked.

“Why? What do you have in mind?”

“I just want you to stay with me,” Andrew confessed, a hint of boyish charm in his tone. In that moment, Isabella couldn’t help but see him as a big, endearing puppy—adorably persistent and impossible to resist.

Isabella chuckled, trying to keep a level head. “But you’ve got responsibilities, you know.”

Andrew’s grin widened. “I can skip work today. My assistant can handle things for a bit.”

Isabella let out a sigh, rubbing her forehead as if in defeat. “If your team knew, they’d probably think I’ve bewitched you or something.”

Andrew laughed, his voice warm and gentle. “I’ve been working non-stop. I think I’ve earned a little time off.” Andrew had always been a workaholic, pushing himself 365 days a year without a break. But ever since Isabella entered his life, his priorities had shifted. All he wanted now was to relax and enjoy time with her.

“But aren’t you working on a very important project right now?” Isabella asked, concern lacing her words. “Isn’t Corbett still determined to secure the CEO position?”

Andrew responded with a casual shrug. “He’s always been focused on that. It doesn’t worry me.”

Isabella couldn’t help but smile, charmed by his confidence. “Still, there are many people rallying behind Corbett, especially with the anticipation for the company’s new phone launch.”

Andrew nodded, acknowledging the reality. “Corbett’s good with tech, no doubt. But your brother, Howard, is even more remarkable.” He reached out, gently tucking a stray lock of her hair behind her ear, his touch tender. “Trust me.”

Isabella’s smile deepened. “I do trust you.”

After a moment of thought, she suggested, “How about I meet you later? I need to take care of a few things at the company first.”

“Alright,” Andrew agreed, but then he added with a playful grin, “Actually, I’ll come with you.”

Isabella blinked, surprised by his unexpected clinginess. But she found she didn’t mind at all. “Sure,” she said, warmth spreading through her.

Her morning was planned around watching the artists’ performance evaluations. The company held these professional evaluations every month, and today was one of those important days. As Isabella approached the evaluation room, she paused, noticing Andrew following closely behind.

She handed him a mask with a knowing smile. “For today, you’re my assistant.”

Isabella knew that if people recognized the head of the Klein Group, it would cause a commotion that could derail the entire evaluation. But even with the mask, Andrew’s natural charisma was hard to conceal. Isabella sighed, realizing he could still draw attention.

Thinking quickly, she grabbed a hat and placed it on his head. “There, that’s better—nothing to see here.”

They entered the evaluation room, where the director of artists was finalizing the preparations. The moment she saw Isabella, the director approached with a respectful nod.

“Are we ready?” Isabella asked.

“Miss Patton, everything is set.”

But the director’s gaze quickly shifted to Andrew, standing beside Isabella. “And who might this be?” the director asked, curiosity piqued.

Isabella glanced at Andrew briefly, her expression unreadable. “He’s my assistant for today.”

The director nodded, though she couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to this assistant than met the eye.

With everything ready, the evaluations began. Isabella watched the performances with a sharp eye, providing feedback that was both insightful and constructive.

One artist, after receiving her guidance, looked visibly enlightened. “Thank you, Miss Patton. I had no idea how much I needed this. You’ve clarified things I’ve struggled with for years.”

Isabella offered a warm smile. “Keep at it, and you’ll achieve great things.”

Next up was a charming young man who couldn’t have been more than twenty. With his delicate features and youthful energy, he had quickly gained a significant following, especially among older women. His popularity had skyrocketed since his debut.

“Miss Patton!” The young man’s face lit up as soon as he saw Isabella. It was rare for her to see someone so genuinely excited to see her. She gave him a nod and said, “Kevin Collins, let’s get started.”

Kevin performed a brief acting scene. When he finished, Isabella offered her feedback, and Kevin nodded enthusiastically. “Miss Patton, you’re incredible. You spotted my flaws right away. I knew I had shortcomings, but I didn’t know how to fix them.”

“You have to focus on targeted practice,” Isabella replied. “I have some courses related to this, and I’ll have someone send them to you shortly.”

Kevin’s eyes brightened even more. “Miss Patton, could you send them to me directly?” He pulled out his phone, his expression hopeful. “I really admire you—you’re the most capable woman I’ve ever met.”

Isabella hesitated for a moment. Kevin’s eager, almost puppy-like expression made it hard to refuse.

“I don’t want you sending me random messages,” he added, his tone pleading.

His charm was disarming, and Isabella found herself agreeing despite herself. She said, clearing her throat, “Alright, let’s exchange numbers.”

Kevin’s face lit up with happiness as they exchanged numbers. As soon as they finished, he suddenly felt a cold, piercing stare. Glancing over, he noticed Isabella’s assistant sitting nearby, exuding an intimidating aura. What was up with that guy?

Still, Kevin left the room in high spirits.

The evaluations wrapped up around noon, and Isabella turned to Andrew with a smile. “Thank you for your company, Andrew.”

Andrew’s gaze was tender as he replied, “You’re welcome. What do you want for lunch?”

“How about we eat at the canteen?” Isabella suggested with a smile.

“Sure! I haven’t been there yet,” Andrew replied. The two walked together toward the canteen, where they began to peruse the options laid out before them. Isabella assumed that a place like this would be unfamiliar to Andrew, but to her surprise, he navigated it with ease, as though he had been there countless times before.

“Do you eat at a canteen often?” Isabella asked.

“I used to eat at my company’s canteen. As CEO, it’s important to be familiar with all aspects of the company, including the canteen,” Andrew explained calmly.

Isabella couldn’t help but be impressed. Most CEOs might overlook something as ordinary as the company canteen, but Andrew took it seriously. To him, every detail mattered, no matter how small. It was clear that his dedication to even the smallest aspects of the company contributed to his success in leading the group forward.

After they found a place to sit, they were unexpectedly approached. “Miss Patton…” Kevin greeted Isabella with a sparkle in his eyes. “I didn’t expect to see you here for lunch. It’s quite a surprise.”

“You eat here often?” Isabella asked, surprised to see a celebrity in the company canteen. It wasn’t exactly a common sight.

“No, but I made an exception today,” Kevin responded, glancing at her plate. “I see you like spareribs. I’m actually planning to cook some tonight. If you’d like, I could bring you some tomorrow.”

Isabella was genuinely surprised that such a young and handsome star could cook. “You cook? How long have you been doing it?”

“Since I was a kid, so about ten years,” Kevin replied with a modest shrug.

“That’s impressive!” Isabella’s eyes sparkled with admiration. “It’s rare to find young men who are passionate about cooking these days.”

Kevin blushed slightly and scratched his head, looking a bit sheepish. “Miss Patton, you’re too kind.”

“I’m speaking the truth,” Isabella said with a smile that made her look even more radiant. Kevin, who had seen many beautiful women, was momentarily mesmerized by her charm.

With a shy smile, he offered, “Miss Patton, if there’s anything specific you’d like to eat, just let me know. I’d be happy to cook it for you.”

“Okay,” Isabella agreed, her smile brightening even more.

Meanwhile, Andrew’s face had darkened noticeably. He remained silent, focusing intently on his meal, clearly displeased with the exchange.

As his lunch drew to a close, Kevin reluctantly stood up to leave. “Miss Patton, I’ll see you tomorrow,” he said with a wistful smile.

“Sure,” Isabella replied with a subdued smile.
