Deacon stood indifferently and didn’t move. He stood under the bright light, and the golden beam of the light fell on his body.

Crystal stepped forward, she tiptoed and quickly kissed Deacon’s handsome cheek.

Deacon didn’t seem like he was going to kiss her, hence, Crystal had taken the initiative to kiss him.

When Cru

Crystal retracted from the kiss, the entire hall was filled with gasped of admiration.

Crystal was the number one beauty, and there were a lot of men trying to get her attention. But she never spared them any glance.

Crystal bit her under lip and stared at Deacon shyly and nervously. Deacon was also looking at her.

Crystal stepped forward again and stood on tiptoe to kiss him on the lips. But as soon as she got close to him, a little fluffy creature rushed over.

Crystal lowered her eyes and saw a snow-white kitten running to Deacon’s feet. The kitten raised its head and stared at Crystal fiercely.

Crystal suddenly felt embarrassed. Who else in the Imperial didn’t know that Deacon had a pet? Whent Deacon returned three months ago, he also brought back a pet. His pet was a kitten.

It was really shocking to see a CEO like Deacon go everywhere with his kitten. To them it wasn’t the style of rich bosses. And it definitely didn’t match Deacon’s temperament as a boss,

Crystal also knew that this kitten didn’t like her that much.

“Deacon, your kitten is so cute. “Crystal complimented and backed away awkwardly. Crystal didn’t like the kitten, but for Deacon’s sake, she had to pretend to liking the kitten.

Deacon’s face was devoid of emotion. He looked down at Phoebe, and said calmly,

“It’s called Phoebe.”

The old lady had told Deacon that the kitten was called Phoebe.

Crystal could only smirk and continued with her pretentious praises,

“Awwwn, Phoebe is just so cute.”

Crystal then diverted her gaze to Deacon’s face, she moved closer to him and asked,

“Deacon, how’s your grandma’s health recently? My grandma has been talking about her lately.”

Deacon frowned as he was remembered of his grandmother.

“Grandma’s appetite has not been so good recently.” Deacon replied unhappily.

Since Mrs. Samantha returned to Imperial, her appetite had been very bad.

The old lady was getting older. She seemed to have aged a lot since her return to Imperial. She was no longer the bright, cheerful grandma that she used to be.

Deacon felt like there was something bothering his grandma. Several times he had caught her crying.

The entire Armstead family were worried about Mrs. Samantha’s health.

Crystal sighed sadly.

“Deacon, I’ll visit grandma soon to chat with her and keep her company. And besides, I’m a nutritionist myself. Leave grandma Armstead’s diet to me. I promise to handle it.”

Deacon looked at Crystal for a while. For some reason, the cleverness and playfulness that Crystal exuded gave him a familiar feeling. The feeling was what he liked.

Deacon had seen a lot of girls, but Crystal’s cheerful character made him pay attention to her.

Deacon reached out to Crystal’s pure, long hair. He seemed to particularly like Crystal’s straight black hair a lot.

His hand rested on her hair and he caressed it lightly.

Crystal stared at him with her bright eyes. But soon, Deacon withdrew his hand.

Crystal seemed to be happy as Deacon caressed her hair. It was a little gesture that was often done by a man in a bid to dote on a girl.

Crystal had thought that Deacon would hug or kiss, but he had only stroked her hair.

Deacon withdrew his hand and muttered.

“Crystal. I have an appointment to catch up with. I’ll see you later.”

Deacon was leaving.

“Deacon, you just arrived, why are you leaving so soon?” Crystal was a little unhappy and disappointed.

However, Deacon was not moved by her noticeable displeasure. He didn’t even spare her another glance. Instead, he looked down at Phoebe at his feet.

“Phoebe, let’s go.” Deacon ordered gently. Phoebe raised her claws and followed Deacon.

Crystal stared at Deacon. Sometimes she felt like she didn’t understand him at all. Deacon was always indifferent and cold, and barely showed any affection towards her.

Deacon bent over and picked Phoebe into his arms and walked away.

Noah let out an awkward cough. He quickly said,

“Since everyone is happy today, why don’t we play a trick on that clown from the Hendrix family.” “Okay? Noah, what do you intend on doing?” Everyone asked curiously.

Noah took out his phone from his pocket, held tighter to Rosella’s waist, then he declared,

“I’ll call that clown on the phone now. Don’t you all know that she’ll be humiliated if we make fun of her?”

“Goodness lord, Noah, that’s too extreme. You really don’t have to humiliate her. You’re so bad.” One of the celebrities suggested.

Rosella twisted her waist coquettishly.

“Noah, you’re so annoying. Why do you want to call her?”

Noah kissed Rosella’s face.

“It’s you I like, okay? Don’t worry about that clown.”

The Hendrix family has never been recognized by the upper class nobles in Imperial. However, no one still dared to provoke the Hendrix family.

Noah placed his finger on his lips and made a shush gesture. Everyone cooperated and everywhere was silent.

Noah dailed the number and turned on the speaker of the phone. The ringing sound quickly echoed throughout the hall.

Everyone awaited the call to be answered with bated breath.

The call was soon picked up, and a beautiful voice passed over,

“Hello, who is this?”

Everyone who held their breathe quickly turned to look at each other. They wondered why the voice of the clown from the Hendrix family was so beautiful.

Deacon had taken Phoebe to the door and was about to leave, but when he heard the voice passed over, he suddenly halted.

Deacon turned around and his deep eyes swept over Noah, and he looked at the phone in his hands.

Deacon couldn’t explain the power that was willed by the voice that he had just heard, but he found himself wanting to pay attention to the conversation between Noah and the girl.

Noah held the phone and said disrespectfully,

“Hello, you’re the youngest daughter of the Hendrix family who was found, right? I’m Noah, your fiance. But don’t think about marrying me. I won’t marry you. I already have a girlfriend, and as we speak, we’re are currently coaxing each other.”
