“I could well be for him. But he shoved me about, so why can’t I him?” she was more than amused with her own actions. “He didn’t really know what to do with me, after that. But I was then nice enough to let him sit and eat with the boys and I.”
“Is he staying out there? Or coming back to the city?” Wil asked.
“He’s going to be staying in the main house, we’re in the guest house,” she told him. “Safer that way if he gets out of control.”
“He won’t,” Wil stated. “Got the boys right there, and they make him more than happy. It was his intent to spend a month with you in Italy, and he was hoping you’d come back pregnant.”
She frowned at that and shook her head. “I still don’t recall the divorce or how it came about, but I recall everything else Wil.”

“I could tell you how it came about.” He offered, and she knew why he offered and didn’t just tell her, because he knew she wanted to recall it on her own.
“No. I think maybe being here will help with that or, maybe wherever it was brought up, was that here Wil?” she asked.
“It was. I won’t go into detail, let you try and recall it on your own. If you can’t and get frustrated, I’ll come out and show you. Bring Anabell, and we can wander and talk in person about whatever you like,” Wil told her. “Marilyn, do you recall my and Wil’s engagement party?” Anabell asked.
“Hmm. I don’t think so.” she shook her head. “Did something happen there I should be aware of?”
“Hmm, let’s leave that alone,” Wil commented. “You’ll understand why, if you remember, nothing harsh, just personal to you and Calvin.”
“When was it?” she asked. She thought she had most of her memories.
“The day you signed the divorce papers,” Wil stated.
“Ah, I don’t have any memories around that time, so likely I’ll get that when I recall the divorce itself.”
“I’d come out and see you but got my sonogram tomorrow afternoon at four thirty, it’ll be to late to come visit after that. Wil and I have to see his parents and mine tomorrow for dinner so they can all see the baby too,” Anabell told her. “But what about the day after Christmas we could pop around and see how you’re all doing?
“I’d like to keep an eye on Calvin, myself Marilyn.” Wil added.
“I think that would be lovely. Lunch or dinner?” she asked.
There was a bit of a discussion, and it ended up with lunch with a view to staying overnight as well. Wil thought it would give him a chance to distract Calvin and give her some space. He thought the man was going to be smothering her with his attentions. Trying to get her to remember him, and how they had been. Little did he know, she already knew how they had been, that she had been the one to invite that man into their marital bed and things had just gone from there. She knew exactly what it was like to be touched and tasted by that man, to touch him and taste him in return even. All the things he liked as much as he knew all the things she liked.
There were many memories of them naked together for her to think about, not only in that bed up there in that house, but the shower of the ensuite, in many a hotel rooms and once from what she could only think of was a stairwell of some building. That one had shocked her completely, and she’d gotten the sense it was something to do with being owned or possessed by him. She had a feeling she’d likely ticked him off about something, and it had ended up with them having s*x. She couldn’t even say she hadn’t enjoyed it, because she knew she had, knew she’d even wanted it, and hadn’t cared any more than he had about where it had been.
Calvin
He was walking downstairs the following morning. It was Christmas Eve, and he was looking to see where to put those gifts he’d brought into the house after the boys had gone back to the guest house to be with their mother; who he’d found sitting cross-legged on the couch with her laptop on her lap working away.
She’d had soft Cello music playing from a Bluetooth speaker next to her, she had clearly come here fully prepared to write while she was here. It had kind of given him the impression that she was going to be working the entire time she and the boys were here, and he was going to be allowed to just spend time with the twins,
He walked about the house looking for a place to put the boys’ gifts, because he didn’t actually think that Marilyn was going to let him put them with the gifts she’d brought here for the twins, not that he’d seen any, likely most of them were still back at their home in Virginia.
He knew that the twins would be up, because the sun was already up, and they rose with it every day of the week. They never seemed to sleep in. As he looked about the house, he realised that there was nothing at all Christmassy in this house; no Christmas Tree, nor any decorations. There was absolutely nothing, and he knew it was simply because no one lived here was all. Denise and Henry had a suite past the kitchen.
But that meant he had nowhere to put their gifts either he now realised, and sighed to himself, he needed to rectify that. He did want that photo they were to take for that album, to show it was Christmastime. Not just a random shot of them together. He was going to have to go out and brave the hoards in the shopping mall.
Not something he really wanted to do or would enjoy at all.
Not even his apartment had a Christmas tree or decorations. Seeing as he spent every year with his parents,
Calvin saw no need to decorate the apartment for just himself. But he would have to, seeing as he was a part of their lives now, and it was possible that they’d be staying at his apartment at some point.
He was going to have to go shopping and kit out that apartment as well, and set up a bedroom for them to spend the night when Marilyn allowed that to happen. He’d have to have something designed he supposed or buy a complete bedroom suite that would have bunk beds or twin beds for the only available empty room he had in his apartment. It wasn’t bought with him having a family in mind.
That made him turn and look upstairs. This was actually the house he’d planned to live in with Marrin, have a family with her in, perhaps he should have the boys choose rooms here and, when they visit, it could always be here. Just more rooms to be designed and fitted out, he supposed.
