“What?”

“She knows about my curse. She knows that she has to have my second child for me to break the curse,” Chandler answered.

“Did you tell her?” the old Mr. Hunter stared at his grandson.

Chandler nodded calmly.

The old Mr. Hunter’s face darkened, and he coldly snorted, “She knows everything, yet she’s still like this. I will go to the Stephenson family and ask what this means!”

“Grandfather, this is between me and Tina, you shouldn’t interfere!” Chandler immediately spoke up.

“Do you think it’s only about the two of you?” the old Mr. Hunter snapped.

“I will save myself, grandfather, you can rest assured,” Chandler looked straight at the old Mr. Hunter.

“But you also know how important Tina is to me. I don’t want anyone else meddling in our affairs, not even you, grandfather!”

Chandler’s resolute gaze left the old Mr. Hunter feeling helpless, reminding him of how his grandson spent the days when Tina was missing.

If Tina hadn’t come back safely, Chandler might have gone insane, or he might have killed himself.

Letting out a sigh, the old Mr. Hunter said, “Alright then, I won’t interfere in this matter, and I won’t let your parents interfere either. But I hope Tina is truly worth it for you.”

Chandler lowered his gaze and said softly, “She is worth it.”

Tina returned to the Stephenson family alone and locked herself in her room.

This worried Hadwin and Lina.

“Did something happen in the Hunter family? Why didn’t Chandler accompany Tina back?” Lina asked.

In the past, Chandler would always accompany their daughter and send her back to the Stephenson family.

“Tina didn’t seem alright when she came back. Something must have happened,” Hadwin said, “I’ll go to the Hunter family tomorrow.”

“Wait!” Lina said, “Let me ask Tina first. Let’s not blow this out of proportion.”

If her husband really went to the Hunter family, what could have been just an issue between the two children would turn into a problem involving two families.

Hadwin sighed, “Alright, you go ask. If the Hunter family said or did something inappropriate to Tina, then I’ll go to the Hunter family and demand an explanation.”

Lina stood outside her daughter’s room and knocked on the door, but there was no response.

Fortunately, the door was not locked, so Lina pushed it open and entered.

As soon as she entered the room, she saw her daughter watching videos of her and Chandler when they were young.

“Why are you suddenly watching these?” Lina asked.

“Just wanted to watch,” Tina whispered. Once, watching these videos filled her with warmth, but now, it felt ironic.

From the beginning, Chandler’s kindness towards her was only to break the curse.

All the romance and happiness were just illusions.

Even though Chandler eventually fell in love with her, how much of it was genuine, and how much of it was fake?

“Did something happen in the Hunter family?” Lina asked.

Tina’s eyelashes trembled, “I just found out some things.”

But she didn’t specify what exactly happened.

Lina understood that her daughter didn’t want to talk about it, so she gently touched her head, “If you’ve been wronged in the Hunter family, tell your parents. The Stephenson family won’t be bullied.

We’ve worked hard to gain wealth and status just so you can have a more secure future and more choices!”

After hearing her mother’s words, Tina’s eyes couldn’t help but turn red. She took a deep breath and said, “Mom, I haven’t been mistreated in the Hunter family, so don’t worry. I just want a divorce!”

“What?” Lina was shocked, “You want a divorce?”

Although her daughter had lost her memory and no longer had feelings for Chandler, didn’t they get along well recently?

She and Hadwin thought that the two children would have a fresh start, but now there was suddenly a twist.

It seemed that something had indeed happened when Tina went to the Hunter family.

“Is it okay?” Tina asked.

She knew very well that if she really wanted to divorce Chandler, it would be a big deal for both the

Stephenson family and the Hunter family.

This marriage was not something that could be easily dissolved.

Lina remained silent for a moment, “Have you thought it through? If you’ve really made up your mind, then your dad and I will support you. Like I said before, everything we’ve worked for is to give you more choices. Even if the Hunter family is unhappy later on, your dad and I can handle it!”

Tina’s nose tingled, and she suddenly hugged Lina, “Mom, thank you!”

At that moment, she truly felt the warmth and protection from her family. No matter what she faced, her family would always be her solid backing!

After leaving her daughter’s room, Lina’s face was filled with worry.

She was willing to support her daughter’s decision. Meanwhile, she knew it wouldn’t be easy for Tina to get a divorce.

After all, the Hunter family saved her and Tina’s lives and established this marriage contract.

And Chandler was devoted to Tina.

Although she didn’t know why her daughter suddenly made this decision, as a mother, she could sense that her daughter had made up her mind.

“How is Tina?” Hadwin approached and asked with concern.

Lina sighed, “Tina wants a divorce.”

“Divorce?” Hadwin furrowed his brows unconsciously. “What happened?”

Lina sighed bitterly. “Tina didn’t tell me, and I don’t want to push her. But the truth is, she has lost her memory now and has forgotten what happened between her and Chandler before. Being bound to

Chandler in marriage like this is a kind of confinement for her.”

“If she really wants a divorce, then let her have it,” Hadwin said.

Even before their daughter lost her memory, he had made up his mind that if she didn’t want the engagement with the Hunter family, he would help her break off the engagement at any cost.

Now, it was just a matter of doing it.

Lina had already known that her husband would respond like this.

“Then let’s talk to the Hunter family someday,” Lina said.

Regardless of the circumstances, it was Tina who requested the divorce. If Chandler hadn’t done anything wrong, then it was a price that the Stephenson family would have to pay in the end.

But before they could go and find the Hunter family, Chandler had already appeared at the Stephenson family.

“I want to see Tina,” Chandler spoke up directly.

“Chandler, what really happened between you and Tina?” Lina asked.

Chandler remained silent, his expression a mix of awkwardness, bitterness, and unease.

Seeing him like this, Lina couldn’t bear to continue asking, so she said, “Tina is in her room, go ahead.”

“Thank you!” Chandler said.

Chandler had been to Tina’s room many times before, but this was the first time he stood nervously at the door.

At this moment, he felt like a criminal facing judgment.

After a while, Chandler finally knocked on the door.

“Come in!” Tina’s voice came from inside the room.

Chandler pushed the door open and saw Tina with her back turned to him, seemingly arranging something.

As he approached, he realized that she was organizing the photo albums that contained pictures of them together, as well as some things related to him.

She used to be kept them in her room. But now, she had put all of them into a big box. It was like she wanted to seal everything away.

The feeling of unease grew stronger in his heart.

“Tina…” Chandler’s voice rang out.

Tina, who had been organizing her things, suddenly froze. Then she turned to look at Chandler, her eyes filled with undisguised surprise.

She had thought it was her parents who came in, but she didn’t expect it to be Chandler.

“Why are you here?” she asked.

“I came to see you.” He had always been composed and calm, but now, he felt a sense of helplessness. He was even hesitant to meet her gaze.

Tina stood up and quietly looked at Chandler.

These past couple of days, she had been trying to calm herself at home and think about what had happened between her and him.

She even wondered what state of mind she should be in to face him.

But she hadn’t expected to be in such a calm state right now.

He looked a bit worn out, and even seemed a bit lost.

Was it just her imagination?

After all, since she came back, and in those photos and videos from before, he had always been so composed and calm.

“You came at the right time. I have something to tell you,” she said. Since he was here, she might as well say it now.

Chandler trembled as if he already anticipated what she was going to say. After a while, he spoke with a trembling voice, “Okay, go ahead.”

“I want a divorce,” Tina said bluntly. “This marriage is not what I thought it would be. From the very beginning, it was filled with hidden motives. I don’t feel any need to hold it together.”
