When the photographer called cut, she could quickly switch her gaze and remove the emotions she had put into the scene.

At least in terms of modeling, she seemed to be better suited for the job than he was.

Why was he feeling so complicated?

It was like he had lost something!

After all the filming was over, while Tina was in the dressing room removing her makeup and changing clothes, Weldon walked up to Chandler and said, “I didn’t expect you to really come. You’ve really opened my eyes today.”

Chandler glanced at him indifferently. “You just wanted to see what my reaction would be, didn’t you?

Now you’ve got what you wanted.”

“I was just curious. I heard that Tina was engaged to you from the moment she was born, so I wanted to know what your relationship with your little fiancée was like. But after seeing you today, I can tell that you have a good relationship,” said Weldon.

Chandler narrowed his eyes. “Don’t even think about it. If you dare to touch her, your family won’t just be expelled.”

Weldon raised an eyebrow. “What, are you afraid I’ll do something to Tina? You can rest assured that I don’t want to take revenge on Hunter by doing that. I’m not that crazy.”

Moreover, he was well aware that seeking revenge against Hunter would be like hitting one’s head against a brick wall.

The grudges of the previous generation were their own affairs, and he had no intention of inheriting them. He only wanted to do what he loved.

“But instead of worrying that I might harm Tina, you should worry about whether Tina would treat you the same way if she knew Hunter’s secret,” Weldon said. “She probably doesn’t know Hunter’s secret yet, after all, he’s very good at keeping secrets. If she knew your true nature, do you think she would see you as a monster?”

Chandler’s face suddenly darkened. “This is Hunter’s business. If you say anything you shouldn’t to her, then you should understand the consequences!”

The gloomy look in Chandler’s eyes made Weldon’s heart tremble. It was as if if he really said something to Tina, this man in front of him would really kill him!

Just then, Tina’s voice rang out. “What are you guys talking about?”

“Nothing, just catching up,” Weldon was grateful for Tina’s sudden interruption, which cased the tension in the room.

“Catching up?” Tina was surprised and looked at the two of them. “Do you guys know each other?”

“Yes, I used to work for Hunter too, but for some reason, our group split from Hunter and changed our surname to Patel,” Weldon smiled slightly.

Tina was surprised to learn of this connection between the two.

“Well, Tina, it was a pleasure working with you today. I hope we have the chance to work together again,” Weldon said before walking away.

Tina looked at Chandler and asked, “You don’t look too good. Were you really just catching up with Mr.

Patel?”

Even though she was easy-going, she was not ignorant or foolish.

If a branch of the family separated from the main family and changed their surname, then it was unlikely that there had been any pleasant experiences between the two sides.

So, it’s possible that Weldon and Chandler’s relationship isn’t great, maybe even really bad.

“Nothing, maybe just a little tired,” Chandler said.

“Let me drive later. I’ll take Eugenia home first, then accompany you back,” Tina said.

“No need, I’m not so tired that I can’t drive,” Chandler said.

Eugenia came over from Kit’s side just now. She went to find Kit herself earlier, hoping to take a photo together.

Kit naturally didn’t refuse her request.

“Is the photo taken?” Tina asked.

“Mm, it’s done. I want to print it out and frame it,” Eugenia said.

Tina was amused by her friend’s words!

Eugenia originally wanted to say more flattering words about Kit, but seeing Chandler next to her, she didn’t say anything more.

After greeting some of the filming staff, the three of them left.

“Kit, there’s still an event later. You should go remove your makeup now,” Kit’s assistant said.

“Okay.” Kit responded, glancing at Tina and their departing figures.

At first, he thought she was just the kind of rich girl he despised the most, but inexplicably, his opinion of her was slowly changing.

Especially when she was shooting, her dedication was stunning.

Moreover, she said she was his fan, not just casually flattering him or simply interested in his appearance, but… she really paid attention to his performances.

Performances that hardly anyone remembers, she remembers them so clearly!

Usually, as the person involved, having such a fan would make one very happy.

Since his debut, many fans have always focused on his face, which he feels dissatisfied with. He doesn’t want others to only pay attention to his face, but also to his songs, his performances, and what he wants to show.

Not just a face.

Otherwise, it seems that all he needs is a face, and all other efforts are irrelevant!

But Tina clearly noticed his efforts, so why does he still feel dissatisfied?

What is this dissatisfaction exactly?!

After sending Eugenia home, Tina and Chandler went to his place.

“Do you want to rest for a while?” Tina asked.

“No need,” Chandler said, “I’m much better now.”

She looked at his complexion, which was indeed better than before.

“Can I stay here tonight?” she asked.

“Your parents will worry,” he said.

“Don’t worry, they trust you since I’m with you, and my mom says you’re an upright gentleman,” Tina said.

His eyes narrowed slightly. If her parents knew about his desire for her, they probably wouldn’t say that.

It’s just that he can barely control this desire with his current self-restraint.

If his desire ever surpasses his reason, then…

“Tina, I’m not some upright gentleman, so don’t trust me too much!” Chandler said. “After dinner, I’ll take you home.”

“But…”

“I’ll take you home. We’re not married yet, so it’s better to keep a certain distance on some things!” he said.

His tone was like drawing a line between them.

And he wouldn’t allow her to easily cross that line!

In the following days, Tina noticed that Chandler was noticeably distancing himself from her.

Although their interactions were still similar to before, sometimes he would deliberately avoid her gaze, and when she wanted to hug or kiss him, he would find excuses to avoid it!

What’s going on?!

Does he not have any interest in her anymore? Does he not like her?

Tina was full of questions, but when she asked Chandler directly, he just said calmly, “You’re overthinking it.”

Is she really overthinking?

As time passed by, Chandler’s return to Hunter was approaching.

Hunter’s family, for Tina, was like a mysterious entity.

Just when Tina was worried about Chandler suddenly distancing himself from her, she met Weldon again.

Coincidentally, Weldon was filming at Tina’s school that day, and they naturally started chatting after meeting.

Suddenly, Tina thought of Weldon’s connection to the Hunter family, and curiously asked, “Have you been to Hunter’s family estate?”

“Estate?” Weldon glanced at Tina, “Why are you suddenly asking this? Haven’t you been there?”

“Well, not yet,” Tina admitted.

Weldon suddenly laughed, “Haha…haha, you, as Chandler’s fiancée, haven’t been to the estate yet, haha…”

Tina looked at Weldon, who was laughing exaggeratedly, come on, she hasn’t been there, is it necessary to laugh like this?

“Is it that funny?” she asked unkindly.

“Not really funny, but it’s in line with Hunter’s usual style,” Weldon said.

“Usual style?”

“Conservative and…cowardly!” Weldon evaluated.

Tina frowned. She had heard the conservative evaluation before, but cowardly…it just doesn’t make sense to describe Hunter with that word.

Weldon seemed to have read her mind and said, “Families like the Hunters are actually quite cowardly, especially Chandler.”

“Chandler is not a coward!” Tina retorted.

“If he’s not worried, then why hasn’t he taken you to the family’s place yet?” Weldon asked. “Have you ever thought about why he won’t take you there?”

Tina fell silent. Of course, she had thought about it, but she couldn’t come up with an answer. In the end, she could only blame it on Hunter’s traditions.

“If you really want to understand Chandler, then go to the family’s place. Maybe everything will become clear,” Weldon said.

This statement was like the temptation of a devil, and Tina’s heart skipped a beat.

Could she really understand Chandler?

Chandler had said before that what she saw of him was not the real him, and maybe her thoughts would be different once she understood the real him.
