And Jack was also taken aback. “Wasn’t this guy Mirabella’s boyfriend? The boss of Mafia C?” he thought.

It seemed like they both didn’t know each other’s identities. How amusing! Too amusing!

Seeing Mirabella caught in the act was like a child caught snacking on sweets. He was just about to laugh when Mirabella shot him a glare.

Upon seeing Romeo, Keith’s playfulness vanished, replaced by respect and flattery.

“Mr. McMillian, you’re here.” He personally pulled out a chair on the right for Romeo and said, “Please, have a seat. I hope you don’t mind the modest surroundings. Romeo sat across from Mirabella. Even with a baseball cap and mask on, only her eyes showing, he would never mistake her for anyone else. She was Mirabella! Seeing Romeo staring at Mirabella, Keith mistakenly thought they were enemies. He quickly said, “Let me introduce you. This is the boss of Mafia C, Mr. McMillian.”

Mirabella gave a small smile, “Nice to meet you.”

“This is the boss of Mafia Flame, alias Mr. Bryant. I just found out today that Mr. Bryant is a very beautiful woman.”

Keith’s gaze on Mirabella was like a wolf eyeing its prey. His naked ambition and greed made Romeo’s gaze go cold.

“Do you like her?”

Keith, oblivious to the chill in Romeo’s voice, laughed, “If Mr. Bryant can’t cough up the money later, she might have to pay her debt with her own body.”

After all, he didn’t believe that Mafia Flame could easily come up with 300 million dollars!

“Mr. Bryant was just bluffing with that bid, right?” Keith thought. That way, he could use it as an excuse to take the beauty for himself. If Mr. Bryant was his, then Mafia Flame would definitely be his too.

He was beefing up his crew and gang so easily, as if the heavens were giving him a hand, and he couldn’t turn it down!

Mirabella must’ve figured out what he was thinking, and she scoffed, “I’m not afraid of owing a debt, I’m just worried you won’t have the guts to take me in.”

Keith burst out laughing, “You’re hilarious. I’m a gang leader, of course, I can handle you!”

The more he looked at Mirabella, the more appealing she seemed. Even though she was a girl, the icy cool aúra she radiated was totally badass.

Romeo looked at Mirabella, “I didn’t expect you to be so young and already a gang leader.”

“So are you.”

They were about the same age, really.

Romeo looked into Mirabella’s eyes, like an adult asking a child, “Do you know where we are?”

They were in the trangular zone, up against the vicious Mafia Wolf. She, a girl, dared to barge in with just one subordinate?

Carl had to admire Mirabella’s guts.

Even though he was here alone with Romeo, they had many men waiting outside, all armed with top–notch weapons.

But Mirabella, a girl, with a subordinate who didn’t look so tough, just strolled in and took–a–seat.

When Keith heard this, he thought Romeo was questioning Mirabella’s abilities and financial resources, thinking she was too confident. Otherwise, why would he ask her if she knew where they were!

If she came here without money, there was no way she would be leaving alive!

He laughed, “Don’t worry, if Mr. Bryant is broke, then the treasure is yours.”

Of course, Mr. Bryant would have to stay and become his woman!

“How much are you willing to pay?” Romeo looked at Mirabella with interest.

Mirabella surmised that he wanted the cinnamomum tenuis to save his grandma.

She didn’t know where he’d got the information that cinnamomum tenuis could help his grandma, but since their goals were the same, there was no need to overpay.

“Keith, I wanted to ask, ‘does the price we bid earlier still count?” Mirabella turned to Keith.

Keith chuckled greedily, “No, it doesn’t count. Both of you start bidding again.”

“The starting bid is 3 million dollars?” Mirabella asked.

“Alright, I bid 3 million dollars.” Mirabella bid right away.”

Keith was taken aback. Why weren’t they adding to the 330 million dollar base, but rather starting from scratch?

Romeo had just scrapped the price cap, so when Mirabella bid 3 million dollars, he naturally had to add another 3 million dollars.

“6 million dollars.” He bid calmly.

“Alright, I give up. The item is yours.”

Perhaps not expecting Mirabella to do so, Keith immediately shouted, “Wait! You’re supposed to continue bidding from 330 million dollars!”

Otherwise, he would lose a lot!

One of his men tiptoed up to Keith’s ear and whispered, “Keith, there are Mafia C guys all over the place, we’d better be careful.”

Keith knew well the power of Mafia C, so he swallowed his anger and said calmly, “Mr. McMillian, if you really want this cinnamomum tenuis, give me $300 million and you can take it. But this girl must stay! I can tell she doesn’t have the money, she’s just here to cause trouble!”

He couldn’t let her off just like that!

“I want both her and the item.” Romeo’s tone was firm, and he looked into Mirabella’s eyes with a hint of tenderness.

Keith was a bit taken aback, “You like her? What if I insist on keeping her today?”

“Let’s see if you have the ability to do so.”

As soon as Romeo had finished speaking, a member of Mafia Wolf rushed in, “Bad news, we’re surrounded by Mafia C!”

Keith glared at Romeo, “Are you serious?”

He was going to take on a gang for a woman? Was it really worth it?

“You just said you like her?” Romeo laughed coldly, “You have good taste, but you’re not in her league! Carl.”

“Yes!” Carl immediately pressed the button, triggering the outside forces into action!

Everyone in the triangular zone had no idea why Mafia C had suddenly turned against Mafia Wolf and started shooting, seemingly determined to wipe them out. Hearing the gunshots and screams outside, Keith realized the danger was upon them.

“She’s your woman? So, this is all a trap? You just wanted an excuse to wipe out Mafia Wolf? So, you set up a trap and waited for us to fall into it?”

Upon hearing this, Carl scoffed, “You’re too full of yourself! Mr. McMillian doesn’t need an excuse to take action! You’re the one who overreached, hoping to get Mr. Bryant! Open your eyes and see how the empire you have built is slowly collapsing!”

Hearing this, Keith stood frozen in shock.

Carl continued, “Don’t worry, Mr. McMillian will spare your life, and the cinnamomum tenuis will be bought according to the rules you set, no unfair deals.”

However, they agreed on $6 million, not a penny more!

Upon hearing Carl’s words, Keith gave a bitter smile, his face pale, “So, according to you, you guys haven’t done anything unethical, rather you’ve been generous to me, sparing my life, and it’s all my fault?”

“Of course! Who told you to be rude to Mr. Bryant?” Carl’s words filled Keith with murderous intent.

Romeo stood up and extended his hand to Mirabella..

Mirabella obediently walked towards him.

Jack’s eyes widened to see the usually aloof Mirabella being held by Romeo. And just like that, she was gone.

“Mafia Wolf is gone, you won’t get away either!” At that moment, Keith hit the switch and a giant iron door suddenly dropped, blocking the only exit.

“Watch out” Romeo pulled Mirabella into his arms and stepped back, narrowly avoiding being hit by the falling door!

Keith pulled out several guns from under the table, ready to kill them!
