“Are you also packing up and moving out of my room tonight?” Ezekiel couldn’t help but ask. Harmony nodded. “Yes, I should leave. I won’t disturb you and your beautiful assistant, lest I’m labeled inconsiderate.”
“How considerate of you.” Ezekiel huffed. Harmony couldn’t help but give a bitter smile. “You’re my benefactor! Of course, I have to be considerate.”
Ezekiel was so angry that he could feel his blood boiling. Are all my efforts in this past month meaningless to you?! Do you have no trust in me?!
“Harmony Mayo, listen to me. I, Ezekiel Weiss, only want you in this lifetime. If you dare leave me, I will search for you relentlessly.” Ezekiel lightly slapped the table, expressing his opinion.
Harmony was taking a sip of her coffee when she was startled by his words and burned her mouth.
She hissed in pain.
The man across the table immediately got up and leaned over to check on her. “What’s wrong? Let me see.”
Harmony looked up into his concerned eyes. She forgot about the pain in her mouth, blinked, and looked at him with a pitiful expression. “What did you just say? You will search for me?”
Ezekiel quickly squatted down to comfort her, “No, no, what I meant was, any rumors about me being with other women are false. I want you and only you.”
Harmony set down her coffee, threw herself into his arms, and sobbed into his chest. “I knew it! I knew you wouldn’t abandon me!”
Ezekiel gently patted her shoulder. “How could I possibly not want you? Others may doubt me, but you must believe me.”
“If I believe you, will you let me down?” Harmony blinked, cupping his face and asking.
Ezekiel shook his head with certainty. “No! I will ensure your success.”
Harmony chuckled. She had just used a popular phrase, but she didn’t think he would understand it.
She wrapped her arms around him and said, “I believe you, then. But I want to make a pact with you. I don’t want to be unhappy in the future.”
Ezekiel naturally prioritized her feelings at this moment. He nodded. “I’ll go get some paper and a pen.
You dictate, and I’ll write.”
Ezekiel actually got up to ask the server for paper and a pen. When he returned with them, Harmony looked at him with pursed red lips and said, “You’re not actually writing it down, are you?!”
“I’ll write it down, sign it, and give it to you for safekeeping,” Ezekiel said. He was serious. After hearing
Harmony’s words, he became anxious. Harmony was a woman of her word. If she said she would do something, she would do it.
“Go ahead! Whatever conditions you have, just tell me. I’ll agree to them.”
“First, if you find someone you like, please inform me proactively. That way, I can prepare myself to move on.”
Ezekiel was taken aback, then immediately retorted, “We don’t need to write this one down. That will never happen.”
Harmony didn’t care, but she insisted, “Write it down. I hope I never have to use it in this lifetime, but I want you to write it down.”
Ezekiel had no choice but to comply. Seeing him write so earnestly, Harmony felt a sweet sensation in her heart. She momentarily forgot what she wanted to say, completely captivated by the man across from her who was diligently writing.
He looked up to give her a charming smile. “Anything else? Please continue.”
Harmony propped her chin up and tried to think, and then blurted out, “Your assistant shouldn’t be too attractive.” After saying that, she felt it was too childish and tried to take it back. “Never mind, I was just joking. Don’t write it down, and don’t take it seriously.”
Ezekiel chuckled. He had already written it down. “I agree with this one, and I will implement it.”
She blinked. “Really? You’re willing to let go of such a beautiful female assistant?”
He looked up. “As long as my wife doesn’t like her, I will not hire her. From now on, all my assistants will be men.”
Harmony was a bit stunned. She continued to think. She had to make sure he knew how to cherish her.
“If you ever find someone new, I won’t return those jewelry and accessories to you, Harmony said.
Ezekiel laughed heartily and agreed, “Okay, you don’t have to return them. I will even send you a set of jewelry every month for you to collect. When you decide to leave, at least you can take these things with you, alright?”
Harmony was speechless. She was serious. Was this man not taking her seriously?
“Alright! If you dare to send them, I dare to accept,” she said. She had to make this man understand that letting her leave would come at a cost.
“I will send them, I promise. As long as you’re happy, I’ll be happy,” Ezekiel said and then wrote it down. “Anything else to add? Keep thinking.”
Harmony said, “In the future, if you touch other women, you are not allowed to touch me.”
Ezekiel nodded. “Okay, this one must be written down, even though it will never happen in this lifetime.”
Harmony, who was just feeling as if she would never be happy in this lifetime, felt that her brain wasn’t working now that she had to make demands. She couldn’t think of any better punishment.
“Let’s leave it at that for now. I’ll add more when I think of them,” she replied. She had a headache, probably because she had a breakdown just now, and her brain was not able to fully function at the moment.
Yet, Ezekiel looked at her affectionately, “Then, I’ll add one more.”
“What?” Harmony asked in surprise.
“What’s mine is yours,” Ezekiel said in a low voice. Harmony was taken aback. She didn’t ask for this one and hurriedly said, “Forget it, don’t add this one. I don’t want your things.”
However, Ezekiel had already added it and signed next to it. Then, he asked her, “Do you have lipstick?”
Harmony shook her head. “No.”
So, Ezekiel asked the female waitress for one. The waitress, upon seeing how handsome he was, gave him her own. Ezekiel didn’t forget to take out his wallet and gave her some money, which stunned the waitress.
Oh my god! He was such a handsome man and so generous with money!
Ezekiel came back with the lipstick and applied it to his thumb. He then pressed his thumbprint on the paper.
After pressing it, he handed it to Harmony. “Keep it. It’s legally binding now. If something like this happens again in the future, you can take it out and confront me at any time. Don’t cry secretly because I will be heartbroken.”
Harmony was speechless.
