“Look at designer number 16, I didn’t see her artistic side at first, but after her assistant added a few strokes, it looks so beautiful?”

“With this design and these colours, it’s so artistic at first glance!”

“This design combines vintage vibes with abstract art elements, topped off with a high–waisted full skirt. It’s artsy and formal simultaneously, giving off a really classy vibe.”

“I’m curious how it would look on.”

“Alright, it’s showtime!” The host walked onto the stage, “Now, we’ll go in order. Designers or their assistants will strut their stuff on the stage wearing the dresses they’ve designed themselves. Our judges and audience will score them on the spot. The top three scorers will move on to the third round! Number three, get ready.” Backstage.

Mirabella handed the dress to Molly, “You’re up this time.”

“Me?” Molly shook her head nervously, “I can’t.”

Part of the reason they aced the first round was because of Mirabella’s beauty and aura.

If Molly took the stage, their chances for the top three might go down the drain.

Mirabella spoke calmly, “You can do it. Believe in yourself.

“Bella.”

“There’s no time.”

Molly, with her defined features and innocent look, seemed to be missing something after putting on the vintage dress.

It was as if her presence couldn’t quite hold up such an elegant dress.

Mirabella gave her a vintage wavy updo, used side swept bangs to flatter her face shape, and added bright makeup and bold red lips. Not only did it brighten her up and boost her aura, but it also created a strong visual impact.

Mirabella picked out a pair of pearl earrings for her. Now, her femininity was highlighted, and Molly looked alluring and charming.

She looked like a top socialite from the Victorian era.

“Let’s give a warm welcome to designer number three. On stage, the second round of the show officially started.

The applause from the audience was like waves, never–ending.

Designer number three walked onto the stage in a black and white dress. Although her makeup was on point and her presence strong, the judges felt disappointed. “This black and white piece is quite expressive, but the top part is too tight. Despite the designer being slim, it still reveals a bit of her tummy. Imagine how it would look on an average person.”

“And the backless, waist–revealing design lowers the dress class.

“Back fat is exposed, not a pretty sight.”

“I can only give five points. These five are for her painting skills. The design itself is too common.”

The third designer bowed to thank the judges and the audience for their scores, and it was time for the fourth designer to take the stage.

“Strapless, full skirt, flowers blooming on the skirt, good painting skills.”

“Has curves when viewed from the side, but overall quite ordinary, no novel design.”

“The diamond necklace around her neck steals the show from the dress.”

“Now let’s welcome assistant number nine”

Yolanda slowly walked out in the dress designed by her team.

A strapless long dress in dark green, with lifelike birds and flowers painted in gold..

However, Yolanda’s looks couldn’t fully bring out the magnificence of the dress, making it seem ordinary and not as attractive as imagined.

Her long hair was tied into a braid at the back of her head, and she wore earrings, trying to portray gentleness and obedience. But it needed to sync with the style of the dress.

“The floral and bird pattern on this dress is pretty cool, but the design of the bust is just too plain, nothing to write home about.” “Such a dress is pretty picky about who’s wearing it. Unless you’ve got a perfect face and a slim figure, it will be tough to pull off.”

“Despite the decent graphics, it lacks anything fresh or unique.”

The judges and audience all chimed in with their lukewarm reviews.

“Next, let’s welcome designer number 16 with a big applause.”

This was Molly’s first time strutting her stuff on stage in a dress she designed herself.

She was a bit jittery inside, but remembering what Mirabella had told her before going on stage, she tried to keep her cool and pretend she was just strolling down a Victorian street, all carefree and comfortable.

After a round on the stage, she garnered a lot of praise for her feminine allure – both her personal style and the dress itself radiated a strong vintage vibe.

“I thought her looks wouldn’t be able to carry off such a grand and dignified dress, but boy, was I wrong! After she changed her style, it’s like the dress was tailor–made for her. Looks amazing.”

“This dress looks like it’s haute couture, designer number 16 has some serious talent.”

In comparison, the dresses shown previously just seemed too plain. They didn’t leave any memorable impressions.

Hans had his eyes on her, admiring her dress design, her curly hair and feminine poise.

He gave her a score of nine.

The other judges also chimed in with their scores, eight, nine,

After stepping off the stage, Molly was buzzing with excitement, “Mirabella, I think we might make it to the next round!”

“We were always going to.” Mirabella had full confidence in their design – the combination of vintage elements and abstract art was bound to stand out. “Now, let’s invite all the designers and their assistants up on stage with the loudest applause!“.

As the host finished, the audience broke into thunderous applause..

The ten designers and their assistants all came on stage.”

“The designers and their assistants have shown us their works, and the scores have been tallied.”

“You can see on the big screen the highest score goes to designer number 16 and her assistant. Let’s give them a big hand for making it to the next round!” The audience erupted into applause.

Molly bowed, thanking the judges and audience for their support. She said a few words of gratitude.

Meanwhile, Mirabella remained stoic throughout.

“Let’s congratulate designers number 16, 21, and 29 once again with huge applause for making it to the next round!”

Backstage, Myra was fuming. Of the four designers she brought, none made it to the next round!

At this moment, designers number 3 and 4 returned to the lounge. Myra couldn’t help but slap them a few times.

“What’s the point of the company keeping you around for so long!? A bunch of losers! Can’t even beat a little girl from the Cooper family!”

Yolanda couldn’t believe she didn’t make the top three even though she went on stage herself. She sat dazed in front of the makeup table, not knowing how to explain this to her parents.

Before the competition, she had promised to make it to the top three.

“Yoli, my design skills are not as good as others. You can deduct it from my salary.” Designer number 9 felt extremely guilty.

Yolanda cursed inwardly.

But she remained silent, unsure how to explain once she got home.

“Bella, I can’t believe I made it to the top three,” Molly said softly, her voice heavy with excitement. “I’m already content, whether I win first place or not.”

After all, the top three already had the qualification to participate in the international competition.

If she participated in the international competition, she would have the opportunity to meet Queen Abby.

Who knew if Queen Abby would serve as a judge for the international competition?

“If you’re gonna do it, go for gold,” Mirabella said, looking ahead, her expression calm, her voice soft. “The world only remembers the champion; nobody gives a damn about who came second or third.”

Hearing this, it kinda made sense to Molly.

This reignited her determination to fight for the championship.

“Before I announce the third competition, let’s welcome our models for the day, Britanny, Bonnie, and Jolin, with a round of applause,” the host said.

Everyone was surprised to hear that there were models today.

The three girls slowly walked onto the stage, leaving everyone stunned.

Were they disabled people?

“Britanny was trapped under the rubble for three days and three nights in last year’s earthquake. She didn’t just lose her left leg; she lost her family too.”

“Bonnie was severely burned in a fire, leaving visible scars, making walking difficult.”

“Jolin lost half of Ker left hand due to overwork in machinery operation.”

“They all had to bear immense pain at such a young age. The task for this competition is for you designers to design outfits that suit them best, that can bring out their beauty.”

Britanny was assigned to Molly and Mirabella’s team.

Seeing Britanny’s prosthetic leg, Molly felt a pang in her heart. Did it hurt to walk like that?

“Stop staring,” Mirabella reminded her calmly.
