Filed To Story: Sorry Alpha I Am Wolfless Novel
Things started to move quickly with the girls. We talked about going out on a double date, so that Lyssa wasn’t uncomfortable and so that Clovio could keep an eye on the other girl, Rika. I was learning that Rika and her brother Reagan, and all of these other nonhumans, were nothing at all like we had been taught that they were. They were just like us.
They were normal people, and all that they wanted was to be able to live in peace.
I was fully and wholeheartedly in love with Lyssa, and I could tell that she was feeling the same as me. I talked to Clovio about this several times, in private of course, and told him that I wanted to be with her, not follow the orders of the family. He was feeling the same. He was not actually in love with Rika, but he respected her and wanted to make sure that she was not hurt in all of this.
None of them deserved to be hurt.
After a while, we had come face to face with another of the groups that had been sent here to the States. They weren’t supposed to interfere with us, and the same went for us. However, they confronted us when we were out with Rika and Lyssa. I knew that we wouldn’t be able to stop them if they decided to use the runes that they had learned from the grandmothers on the girls, we were powerless.
A man that I had never seen before had arrived to save the day. He had been angry with Rika and Lyssa for having left the campus, but he had managed to scare off the others, so that was good for us. We wouldn’t have to watch them take the girls and hurt them now.
Things moved fast after that. We went with Rika and Lyssa to the castle that the King and Queen lived in so that we could tell them the truth and explain all that had been happening. The girls were heartbroken, and I will never forget the look of betrayal that was on Lyssa’s face. She was devastated, and all I wanted to do was make it better.
I wanted to tell her that I truly loved her and I had wanted to betray my family from the moment that I had met her. She was more important to me than they were.
Soon, there was a battle that ensued. I wasn’t sure if the nonhumans would win, but they did. They destroyed the family that was in charge and, oddly enough, some ancient beings that were manipulating and controlling the family. I had no idea that there was that much going on in the family, not that I cared at all. I just wanted Lyssa back.
I was told that, even though we turned our back on the family, we still needed to face our punishment. I agreed without hesitation. I would prove myself and come back to see my love. I would win her back so that she didn’t hate me anymore.
I was sent to live in England for a while, at the pack of a man named Nigel. He was supposed to educate me in the ways of the werewolves, and how to be a proper man for the woman that I loved and wanted to spend my life with. That wasn’t what was happening though.
From the very first day, I was treated like a prisoner in Nigel’s home. I was their servant that was forced to do everything for them, and they often beat me just for my existence. They didn’t like that I was linked to the Jaegan family that had committed the murders. While I was there, I often feared for my life.
One day, Queen Riviana and King Joaquin came to Alpha Nigel’s house. I had already had my spirit broken by that point, and I was standing behind Nigel’s chair like I was a subservient dog. There was little else that I was allowed to do most of the time. I was relieved though, because while they were there, collecting traitors from that pack, they took me away from there and sent me to another pack.
This one was in the States, and a pack that was much nicer.
I still didn’t go home to Colorado, but I was back in the same country as the woman that I loved and I was able to feel her connection. And the new pack was a much better fit. And a lot nicer as well.
I was finally learning what I needed to. This Alpha, a man named Artem that had several children of his own, kept me with him for most of each day, but he was teaching me what it meant to be a werewolf and how to live with nonhumans. I trained my body physically, and I learned a lot in the meantime.
They had a really nice setup in their library where they used to teach their kids when they were younger, and it was there that they taught me nonhuman history and all the lore that went into the world that they lived in. It was finally something that I was able to appreciate and enjoy, even though I still felt the desire to be with Lyssa more than anything in the world.
I knew that my Lyssa was a vampire and not a werewolf, but she was raised in a mixed species household, and she still lived a lot of her life like she was a wolf. She didn’t have a wolf form, but she was in all technicality, a half vampire and half werewolf. I knew that this was why Queen Riviana and King Joaquin had wanted me to learn the ways of wolves.
Now that I was almost done with my training, and it was summer time now, I couldn’t wait until I got to go home. The first thing that I was going to do was find Lyssa. I would apologize to her, and then I would tell her that I would never, in all my life or eternity, break her heart again. I would never lie to her. I would never hide anything from her.
She was all that mattered to me, and I would spend the rest of my days, however few or many they may be, proving that to her.
I just hoped that she would accept my words as the truth, that she would give me another chance. I knew that I would never be able to live without her. She was it for me. I would never love another woman like I loved her.
THIRD PERSON POV FROM VARIOUS PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD
POST FIGHT AT THE STADIUM/DEATH OF THE COLONEL
**The Super Non-Humans**
While thirty year old Holly Jones was watching the news, she couldn’t help but remember that fateful day from just before Christmas. It had taken over the entire world, in a manner of speaking. That day in December she had been at work, working on a spreadsheet for her accounting firm when it happened. Her entire screen had been taken over by this broadcast, and there was no way to turn it off.
Each and every computer and TV in the entire building had started to broadcast it, and so did the cellphones.
The announcement was that there were nonhumans living among them. That had been a little terrifying to hear, but then the words had continued. They had been here with us all along. We had lived together for thousands of years, and they weren’t out to hurt anyone. All they wanted was peace.
That initial fear that Holly had felt dissipated almost at once. She figured that, with half the world likely not being human, it meant that half the people in her office probably weren’t human. And if that was the case, then there was nothing to worry about, because she had worked there for almost ten years with no issues at all.
In truth, that initial report only made her accept and understand the oddities of the people around her. Perhaps that lady in HR that always had purple hair wasn’t dying it, maybe it was her real hair color. And maybe, the reason she still looked the same after all this time, was because she was immortal.
Yes, these things and more all passed through Holly’s mind as she learned about the world around her. She even went to the events that were held in the city around her. She wasn’t in Colorado Springs, where the announcement had taken place. No, she was in Ann Arbor, Michigan, several hundreds of miles away.
And even with all this distance between them, Holly was sure that there were nonhumans all over the place.
As the news displayed again and again what had happened at that stadium, the same one where Riviana Gray had announced what they were, Holly thought about the way things had happened. There was an army of humans that were after the nonhumans. The nonhumans had been running around the world trying to stop those people and protect everyone.
And Riviana even protected the people that were there, including the ones that had been there to paint her in a negative light. Hell, if it had been Holly there, in Riviana’s shoes, she might have let that truck squish them all.
It was clear to see that the nonhumans were there to protect and save people.
“Did you ever notice how they’re like superheroes?” Holly asked her coworker as she watched the news in the middle of the workday. She wasn’t the only one either, they had all ceased working, bosses included. The news was more important at the moment.
“I hadn’t thought about it before, but now that you mention it, yeah, I think that you’re right.” Ryan said without taking his eyes off the screen. “They are just trying to live their lives, but they don’t want to see people getting hurt either. They put themselves out there and do all that they can to protect people.”
“Yeah, they’re amazing.”
At that moment, Holly looked across the room at a group of people that were huddled together, whispering while they watched the news. They were some of the ones in her office, on her specific floor, that were not human. There were six of them, on their floor of twenty. Not quite half but it was also just one floor.
